I'm a huge fan of Fiona's writing so I couldn't wait to read this cozy mystery and it didn't disappoint. Great, well rounded characters, a true murder mystery to uncover and a lovely smattering of fun and flirtation along the way too. More please :) Thankfully there are another two books in the Nosey Parker Mysteries, I cannot wait!

I am familiar with Fiona Leitch’s other books, Dead in Venice and Murder Ahoy, both which blew my socks off—laugh out loud funny! So, when I heard she’d written a new cozy mystery series, I have to tell you I had very high expectations. I was NOT disappointed. Not only did I find this first book in the Nosey Parker mystery series fantastic, I can’t wait for the next book! This author has a way with words (witty, charming, all of it) that not only keeps you glued to the pages but also laughing out loud. Loved it. Highly recommend!

This is a great start to a fun series! Jodie ‘Nosey’ Parker is glad to be back home in Cornwall. She divorced her husband, quit her job with the Met police, and retrained to be a chef. She was very sad leaving the Met, but having a daughter she wanted a safer job. When she moves she stumbles right into a murder investigation. This was a fun mystery with a sassy MC that you will love. I usually don’t read series with children however this pulled me in right away.

I love a cozy murder mystery and I was totally drawn into this 'whodunnit'. The story was set in a glorious location. I loved the characters and all the twists. I didn't guess who did it!

Jodie "Nosey" Parker is back in her Cornish home, having left the Met. She's now a caterer, and finds herself catering the wedding of old school friend Tony. But it's all rather fraught when the bride disappears and someone else is dead....

Unable to stop herself getting involved, Jodie comes up against investigating officer DCI Withers in an attempt to uncover the truth and clear her old friend.

Great fun, fabulous characters and a cracking read! can't wait for the next one!

What a great story. It had every thing that you would want in a great telling. The characters are realistic although I'm now waiting for Nosey's ex to make an appearance. (Stop booing)
I'm now going to download the next two books.

A good start to a fresh new cosy series. Jodie (Nosey) Parker has come home to Cornwall after serving with the Met in London. Worried Cornwall will be quiet and boring, she stumbles onto a murder straight away. Having retrained as a chef, she finds it very hard to stick to cooking, and actively ( to the dismay of dishy DI Withers) starts sleuthing. DI Withers has Tony, Jodie’s one-time boyfriend in the frame for murder, but Jodie knows he couldn’t possibly have done it, could he.?
Light and breezy, a perfect escape. Thank you to netgalley and the publisher for an advance copy. Recommend.

Jodie Parker has always been curious, Nosey was her nickname as a child. When she divorces her ex and quits her job with the London Police, she takes her daughter and moves back home to Cornish countryside and she reconnects with many of her old friends. She even gets her first gig catering the wedding of her childhood best friend, Tony and his fiancé Cheryl.

At the rehearsal dinner Tony’s ex wife shows up trying to warn Tony about his intended but ends up just embarrassing herself. When the woman is found dead the next morning and the bride is missing, Jodie can’t help but get involved in trying to figure out what happened to the bride and who killed the first wife. She can’t let Tony take the fall for something he didn’t do and her copper instincts come to the forefront. If only she weren’t butting heads with the new handsome DCI in town. But first things first, she’s going to clear Tony’s name no matter that Tony is the primary suspect.

I really enjoyed this cute cozy. In these trying times it’s the closest I get to traveling and a solid whodunit to boot makes it a fabulous read. I’m looking forward to the next two in the series as well. Check out the recipe at the back of the book for an added bonus.

I just loved this delightful, funny and smart cozy mystery. It has everything - interesting characters, a compelling plot and a wonderful sense of humor. Jodie "Nosey" Parker has left her career as a London police officer to return to her Cornwall roots with her daughter Daisy and begin a new career as a caterer. She runs into her old friend Tony Penhaligon while shopping at his furniture store and meets his fiancee, Cheryl Laity and immediately gets the job of catering their wedding. The night before the wedding Tony's ex-wife Melissa shows up and attacks Cheryl. When Melissa is found dead, and Cheryl is missing the police arrest Tony for the crime. Jodie knows her good friend is innocent, so she investigates as a private detective, much to the chagrin of DCI Withers. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and hope there will be many more of Jodie's adventures to come.

Fiona Leitch has launched a must-read series with this fantastic read. I immediately fell in love with the main character Jodie 'Nosey' Parker - her wit, her warmth, and her detective skills! I thoroughly enjoyed getting to know her family and the townfolk - what a wonderful array of supporting characters. Great descriptions, fast-paced, hilarious, poignant and intriguing - the perfect cosy mystery. I can wait to read the next in the series!
