Their Silent Graves by Carla Kovach – 5 Stars
Publisher: Bookouture
ISBN: 9781838888657
I was browsing the list of books available from NetGalley and the colorful cover of Their Silent Graves caught my attention. Amazon flagged it in the categories of police procedural and serial killer, but it is so much more than an ordinary offering in those groups. The plot is clever, complex and unique. It reminds one that our actions have lasting effects on others. The pace is steady. I didn’t rush through or skim any part. I enjoyed each word as I tried to figure out who the killer was and how events would come together at the conclusion. I was not disappointed. The ending was a surprise and was tragically believable. I will definitely read other books by Carla Kovach.

I'm always excited with the prospect of a new Carla Kovach book , and this certainly proved to be worth waiting for . I love the Gina Harte series , she is a strong female lead really well written as is the relationships she has with her team . Two young girls on the way to a Halloween party find a shallow grave , the grisly discovery a coffin where the victim was certainly buried alive , during the investigation the perpetrator involves Gina by sending her letters both directly and to the press . There is a lot of speculation about Gina's past relationship with her husband which makes her very uncomfortable , although she is still determined to catch this killer even if it puts her in the crosshairs . As usual plenty of suspects that keep you guessing and some tense moments . Another brilliant outing for our heroine . 5 stars

I was glued to my Kindle until I finished it.
Carla Kovach is best known for her work in crime thrillers in Jane Casey, Cara Hunter's style and here she came with Their Silent Graves. Although the title gives us a rough Idea about the plot of the story. We can see that this time the killer is playing with graves.
Have you ever seen a grave? Have you ever felt that someone is watching you? If Yes then how would you feel if you came to know that it was a serial killer who was watching you?
The story started with 24 years ago, normal people living normal lives and then story moved by 12 years ago which sounds a large gap. Two girls witnessed something shocking, I e a grave and started running but the killer was watching them in the shadows. After a few days a new grave is found. And it made clear to the police that a serial killer is lurking out there waiting for his or her next victim.
There is nothing much to talk about as this is a cat and mouse thriller. A game of killer and police. Will the police catch the killer or will there be any more graves? To know you've to read this twisty crime thriller.
I loved Fredy the most in the story and as always I loved the antagonist.
Narration of the story is buttery smooth.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me an advance copy of this twisted crime thriller.
