Another winner in the Sweetwater Springs series!
Sophie and Chase were high school sweethearts, active in outdoor adventures. One day when Chase was otherwise occupied, Sophie went climbing by herself (a very dangerous thing to do), and had a terrible accident that trapped her on the mountain for 36 hours and severely injured her leg. Years later, after surgery and physical therapy, Sophie is a successful small business owner and is a huge supporter for her community.
Chase returns to the area as the local veterinarian, to provide support for his sister-in-law and nephew after his brother scammed investors and went to prison. He and Sophie reunite, and sparks begin to fly. Is this finally their happy ever after?
I don’t write spoilers, so you’ll have to read this lovely book to find out the rest of their story, and catch up with other residents of Sweetwater Spirngs who you might not have seen for a while. Visit a bit and have fun!
Thanks to the author, publisher and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review this book, but my opinions are my own.
I love a good second change romance and this newest book from Annie Rains was no exception! The characters were charming and the romance was sweet. The town was beautiful and everything about the book was just lovely. The addition of rescue dogs was a nice touch and I fell in love with the story. Reunited on Dragonfly Lane was heartwarming and cheerful! My thanks to the publisher for the advance reader in exchange for my honest review.
Sophie suffered a horrible accident and pushed away her high school sweetheart to save him from her struggles. Chase is back in town, working as the only local veterinarian. Comet, a Border Collie mix, runs in front of Sophie and is hit. Chase is able to help and both work to care of the sweet puppy. This book makes you believe in second chances and remember there are truly good people out there. I read this book in exchange for an honest review.
Annie Rains should be a household name when it comes down to clean, contemporary romance novels. Because of Reunited on Dragonfly Lane, I'm now a big fan of the author.
Once inseparable, Sophie Daniels and Chase Lewis were the peanut butter and jelly of all couples -- you couldn't have one without the other. Until, one day a dreadful accident occurs leaving Sophie scarred not only physically, but emotionally as well. The accident causes a wedge to develop between Chase and Sophie, forcing a breakup in Chase and Sophie's relationship.
Then one day, Sophie is forced to confront Chase, who is now the town's only veterinarian, to help with Comet, a puppy injured with a broken leg. What follows is the push-pull of emotions that compels Chase and Sophie to re-evaluate themselves and each other.
Reunited on Dragonfly Lane is a heartwarming novel that will surely pull your heartstrings and at the same time, make you feel that second chances are maybe all you need in life and love. Five stars. I loved it.
I received a digital ARC from Forever (Grand Central Publishing) through NetGalley. The review herein is completely my own and contains my honest thoughts and opinions.
My review is scheduled to post on my blog, Twitter, Facebook, and Goodreads accounts on 12/26/20. Reviews will post to retail sites such as Amazon and Barnes&Noble on release/publication day..
Reunited on Dragonfly Lane by Annie Rains, is the seventh book in her Sweetwater Springs series. Sophie Daniels, the owner of a boutique in the small town of Sweetwater Springs is comfortable with her life, at least until Chase Lewis, her high school sweetheart moves back to town. After years away, Chase comes home to take over the veterinary clinic in town. Sophie is successful in avoiding Chase until a young puppy with a broken leg comes into her life. She reluctantly agrees to be a foster parent to the dog but has never owned a pet so Chase steps in to assist. As hard as Sophie tries to ignore her feelings, the chemistry is still there between her and Chase. This is a heartwarming story about two people reconnecting with the help of a rambunctious puppy. It is also a story of second chances, forgiveness and letting go of the past to have a future. Even though this is the seventh in the series, it is a story that can be read as a stand-alone book, one I enjoyed and recommend.
Boutique owner Sophie Daniels and Chase Lewis were in a relationship when they were eighteen. They shared a love for climbing but a freak accident left Sophie stranded and injured. She blamed Chase as he wouldn’t go climbing with her. She ended the relationship and Chase left town. He has returned and is the local vet. Sophie hits a dog with her car and brings him to the vet. Chase treats him and encourages Sophie to foster the injured dog with his help. Can Comet bring the two back together? Can Sophie conquer her fear of climbing as Chase is still an avid climber!
Thanks to Annie Rains and Forever(Grand Central Publishing) for this read!
I am finding that my favorite books are those that focus on good people. They make me happy. So that's exactly how this second chance romance made me feel.
Sophie owns a boutique, and she runs a charity, Fairy Godmother's Closet, out of the back to help women get clothes for job interviews. Chase is the town's local veterinarian, and he gives up his time off to care for local animals.
This story highlights second chances in so many ways. In romance and relationships. In healing and love. In trust and growth.
It's official. This was my second Annie Rains' novel, and it won't be my last. I love her writing. I recommend this if you like romances that help you feel better about the world.
Annie Rains brings us another delightful story from Sweetwater Springs. I think Sweetwater Springs stories would make a great Netflix series!
I always get so excited when Annie Rains releases a new book, because her books always draw me in and keep me entertained. This book was no exception, it was just the happy story I needed to escape real life this week. Chase and Sophie were great both characters, and seeing Sophie as a side character in many previous books in this series, I was excited to learn more about her and see her get her own Happily Ever After. Comet and Petey were also great characters that I really enjoyed being such a big part of this story! Sweetwater Springs is such a great setting, it is one of those towns that I wish was real so that I could go and visit it in real life. The side characters in this book, and town are so colorful and add so much to each others stories. I hope that there are many more books in the Sweetwater Springs series to come. I received an ARC of this book from netgalley, and this is my honest review.
This was such a great and final addition to this wonderful series! I swear Annie Rains has such a talent for sucking you into her stories and not letting go until the very end! There are so many feel good emotions that you get from reading this book and considering how life has been lately this was just the thing for me to read to lift my spirits. I can't wait to read what she writes next!
Annie Rains is a solid choice if you are looking for a sweet, clean, heartwarming book. Reunited on Dragonfly Lane is no exception. Chase has returned to the small-town of Sweetwater Springs to take over as the veterinarian and help with his sister-in-law and nephew after his brother runs into trouble. He loves being back in town but running into his first love brings back all sorts of feelings. Sophie was head over heels for Chase years ago and loved to climb with him until an accident crushed her leg and had her pushing him away. He's back now and she's not sure how she feels about that.
This book is a great story of second chances. Deeper than that is two people working to overcome past hurts...both physical and emotional to see if they can be together again. I loved that they were fairly quick to acknowledge their old feelings while also realizing that you can't ever really go back to the past. The characters from former books in the series pop in here and there making it that much more fun. That being said, this book works well as a standalone. Finally, I love that this book has another sweet, fun-loving dog. Comet is a character unto himself.
I really enjoyed this newest release from Rains and, as always, look forward to reading more from her.
This is a well written book that holds your attention. It's a sweet heartwarming second chance romance that will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I feel in love with Comet, such a sweet little puppy. You don't want to miss this book! Thank you Forever (Grand Central Publishing) via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.
As usual, I’m pleased to read a book by Annie Rains. All the characters are well developed and likable, and the scenery sounds like somewhere I’d love to visit. While this is first a love story, it’s also about letting go of inhibitions that are keeping you from doing the things you want to do. Comet, the little dog, was also a fun part of the storyline. I recommend this book to anyone who would like to spend a day with a fantastic romance without explicit sex scenes. I received an arc of this book from NetGalley and the publisher. All opinions expressed are my own.
We are back in Sweetwater Springs, and another wonderful and well written story by this talented author.
Sophie Daniels and Chase Lewis were sweethearts in their youth, but tragedy happened and their sweet love was destroyed.
Nowadays , Sophie owns a boutique in town and Chase , is a veterinarian who returns home to help his nephew.
Fate brings them back when Chase convinces Sophie to adopt an injured puppy.
Will the time spent together with the canine matchmaker give them a second chance at love or will the past interfer?
You can never go wrong when you pick up a book by this author. One that leaves you hoping you don’t have to wait long for her next story.
I was entrusted a copy of this book by Netgalley and Forever. The opinions expressed are solely my own.
Thanks Netgalley for allowing me to read this book. Sophie who owns a clothing store runs into Chase after a dog was injured. The dog owner no longer wanted him and Sophie decides to keep him. Both Sophie and Chase have a history together. I enjoyed the chemistry between Sophie and Chase.
Heartwarming, emotional, and entertaining. This is a love story, but it’s also so much more. For Sophie, it’s about moving beyond her past and facing and overcoming her fears. For Chase it’s about letting go of anger and seeing beyond the mistakes one has made. For both of them, it’s about forgiveness, second chances, and opening their hearts, not only to each other but also to a lovable puppy. I loved this return to Sweetwater Springs and getting to know Sophie and Chase, as well as catching up with other residents of the town. I highly recommend this book!
Sophie and Chase were once a couple till an accident tore them apart. A second chance love story.
Sophie is a boutique owner, and Chase is a veterinarian.
Their paths cross again when Sophie accidentally hits a little puppy. Upset she rushes him to the vets office. Missing a friend's wedding to care for the dog. Sophie gets talked into taking the puppy in until it's cast is taken off. They are now back in each other's lives.
Chase, is having a problem with his brother who's in jail for embezzlement.
Sophie, helps ladies get back on their feet by giving them a makeover. She sends her latest client to see about a job at the vet's office.
Second chance love, misunderstanding, lack of communication can they make it back to each other
I miss so glad I discovered Annie Rains. She has a way of writing CHarming stories that can lift a glum mood, cause stark reality to fade, and characters that find each other. Chase and Sophie were once inseparable. But a tragic accident caused Sophie to shove Chase away. Now he's back in Sweetwater Springs and sparks flare. But will Sophie walk away from him again? One of the cutest characters was puppy Comet. I wanted to take the little dog home. I grew impatient with Sophie as she kept pushing Chase away and I thought how much cam one man take. The story was engaging and the cover super cute. A book like this makes reading it a pleasure.
