I really enjoyed this mystery romance, set in Scotland. I liked that it was set in a time, not often seen in historical novels and the writing was good. The characters were interesting and engaging as well as a quick moving plot with plenty of action.
A really enjoyable read.

An intriguing book to read . The story was set in Scotland and kept me interested from beginning to end. The main characters were strong and courageous. I do recommend that you read this book.

An interesting story. The last in the series and even though it didn't spoil it that I hadn't read any of the two previous ones I think I will look out for them. The connection between the other books seems to be the hero's family line. Out heroine, Rosalie is a fortune teller, she relies on palmistry and mainly cold reading her clients. Domhnall is the real deal, a highland seer, who avoids touch and has been trying to surpress his gift. Rosalie relies on her uncle and aunt for information to use in her readings and ends up giving an English Lady the wrong type of news. Rosalie and the uncle flee northwards. It was interesting how the story panned out and there is enough historical detail to make it riverting. The other worldliness of the healing and prophecy is a good adjunct. There's kisses and passionate scenes in a marriage context. I think you'll like this book.

Her historical research is injected in each page as her descriptive narration is intricate down to the food and wine people eat and drink. The character Rosalie is such a fascinating heroine complete with foibles and good intentions. Her caretaking of her mother brought tears to my eyes. The romance between Rosalie and Domhnall had me whipping throughout the pages. The suspense sub-plot had my heart in my throat a few times. The ending made me smile. If you’re looking to escape through history, Jean M. Grant is your go-to author. Brilliantly written, A Hundred Lies is a must-read! Highly recommend!

Beautiful cover. Beautiful story. Beautiful characters. I loved everything about this book. The plot was intriguing, filled with mystery, romance, and danger. The characters had great chemistry. I loved how slow they took their relationship in the beginning. As a reader, I got to experience the flutters of the first meeting, of developing feelings, and more as the romance progressed in the story.

The author does an amazing job at stradling genres. Her women’s fiction book was incredible, and I’m wowed by this new paranormal romance novel. Definitely recommend! I look forward to reading the other books in this series.

4-4.5 Stars!! I REALLY enjoyed this book. This is the first time I’ve had the pleasure of reading anything by Jean M.Grant. This book is the 3rd in the series but can be read as a standalone. I pretty much guessed who the ‘bad guy’ was really early on. However, I still loved this book & was even surprised a few times. Interesting story. I have a few questions still about everyone in the book, even after the epilogue. Hopefully the author continues with the rest of the family members & distant relatives stories! I’d definitely recommend this book, especially if you’re into paranormal romance and mystery!!
