It was so cute!!
I did not know about it until this one and I can't wait for the others. I really liked the art
'Vincent, Book 3: How To Be Happy' with story and heart by Vitor Cafaggi continues the story of lovelorn Vincent, and his search for true love.
The problem Vincent has is he doesn’t know when to quit when he pursues an old love and she ghosts him more than once. He misses out on an RPG session with his buddies, but worse than that, he’s really hurt. When Vincent meets a new girl, will it be love or another lesson to be learned?
This has been a fun and whimsical series with some really interesting things to say about falling in love. The art style anthropomorphizes animals as the main characters and it’s really charming.
I thought this was an incredibly cute continuation of our journey with Vincent. I really appreciated the recap and felt it was short and sweet but informative enough that if you hadn't read the other books, you could have gotten away with just this one.
There were some panels that had too much text that didn't feel relevant to the story, which didn't necessarily take away from it, but simply was a distraction. All in all though, I enjoyed this and enjoyed watching Vincent try and learn how to fall in love!
It's cute and I found myself chuckling at quite a few of the panels.
I do wish I knew what happened previously a little more clearer but the foreword was quite helpful. The story was decently done. It flowed naturally that when it ended I felt satisfied with the ending. I like the toy car analogy used by Vincent's friend. It was wise.
Some panels have so much text it's intimidating to read. It's too much to read. I actually skipped some of those panels. Most of the story is told in the text, however, so I found I had to go back and take my time on them.
I love the cutesy art style!! What I'm worried about is that it seems like the drawings were blurred, compared to the text.
Side Note: I'm not sure you can play Backstreet Boys on the piccolo (a very high pitched flute) but thanks for trying.
***Thanks Netgalley and the publisher for the ARC!***
I got a free copy from the publisher through NetGalley.
As many Brazilians, my first contact with Vitor Cafaggi's work was with Turma da Mônica: Laços and felt completely in love with his artwork and storytelling. Since then I've read a couple of his other works, and I was really glad when I saw this on NetGalley!
Vincent Book Three is a really good final part to the series: it's fun, whimsical, with lovely characters and situations we all can get into. You can see where the story's going but it doesn't take anything from the experience of reading it and seeing how the characters act and react.
Vincent Book Three (my first exploration of this series) didn’t leave me behind in the pick-up. I enjoyed the unique art and color style and would gladly recommend this book to other readers.
Thank you to the publisher for giving me a free copy of this comic in exchange for an honest review.
I LOVED this! It was sooooo cute. I opened the file and already fell in ove with the art. It's so soft to the eye and made me immediately simp for the main character. It was just so so so so so so so cute.
The story itself was very good. I feel like there ere no dull holes in the main plot and I think the flow of events and dialogue went well with the overal look of things.
I would really recommend this comic to a lot of people and for some reason it was giving me "Tea Dragon" vibes a little bit.
