As ever, Hollywood historian Scott Eyman is a wealth of not only factual information and well-researched knowledge but on the social and cultural context of the figures he profiles. This is a nuanced, fulsome, and prismatic take on Cary Grant that is full of empathy. It also sidesteps the easy presumptions and pop psychology that's unfortunately become common in biographies of bygone celebrities. And I was delighted to interview Eyman for Zoomer's weekly feature interview The Big Read. The longread is at the link.
UPDATE: Also included the bio in my annual Holiday gift books guide package in The Globe and Mail newspaper.
