Thank you to NetGalley, the publisher and author for this ARC.
Having loved the first book in the series I looked forward to reading this. I felt this book had a very, very slow start. The main character featured very little in the first half of the book which was more about setting the scenes and getting to know the characters. It did pick up just after half way through. Lucy as a character is slowly growing on me, I liked reading of her working relationship with her boss, her background history which has shaped who she is and her love for her Nan. I enjoyed reading this, the second half of the book was a more riveting read that raced to an ending I had already guessed. It didn’t really wow me though and I enjoyed the first book much more. I’d definitely want to read the next book to see how the main character develops. 3.5 stars
Great second installment of the new trilogy. Love the characters Lucy and Winnie, cant wait for the next book.
Gangland crime stories... The main characters are always ruthless with people that don't follow the rules made by them.
In some series the boss is kind to his family, in others, like this one, the boss does not seem to love anyone. Not even himself.
It sounds weird that I have to say that I enjoyed the book a lot. It does not mean that I enjoy violence. Not at all! But the author makes you live every emotion in tenfold. It's like you feel every blow, you cry every tear, you applaud every step the police closes in on the culprits and that's what makes you so involved.
I asked for a sequel last time and I hope my prayers will be heard again, because this can't be the end, can it? I certainly want more. A lot more.
As soon as I finish a book, I take a look on Goodreads. I am always curious to know what other people think about a story. At this moment 20 people gave a rating and 14 of them were worth 5 stars. I do agree wholeheartedly with them and will also give this author a handful of stars.
Thank you, Casey Kelleher and Bookouture
Loved everything about this book. The characters are spot on whether good or bad. Fantastic storyline and can’t wait to read the next instalment
Another corker of a book from Ms Kelleher. The second in the DC Lucy Murphy series and just as fabulous as the first. With brilliant characters and a gritty setting, this book ticks all the boxes for a gangland thriller. Cannot wait for the next instalment.
What an intense, gritty, and action packed read. The story takes off on a wild ride from the first chapter, and holds you hostage until the last page.
The characters are an interesting bunch, the plot flowed seemingly and the drama was intense. Definitely different from the crime fiction I usually read. Being the first book I have read from the author, I can honestly say I am a fan now!
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for the advanced copy of the book.

Thanks to netgalley for the opportunity to read this book in exchange for a honest review I enjoyed this book can't wait to read more in this series
This is the second in the D.C. Lucy Murphy series, and was definitely worth the wait!
During an investigation Lucy meets Debra, wife of the formidable Gerard. Lucy recognises Gerard for the bully he is, and sees how down trodden and scared Debra is. She is determined to find a way to help her escape. Problem is, in doing this, she’s putting her own life in jeopardy.
I really really enjoyed this, and hope for more to come in the series. Casey has done a fab job with the characters and the story is well written, as always!
No Fear is the second book in the DC Lucy Murphy book and oh my lord Casey Kelleher left me in need of a stiff gin and a lie down after this one!
Lucy Murphy and life on the Griffin Estate wormed its way under my skin in book one and No Fear just made them dig that little bit deeper! It’s impossible not to warm to Lucy as she finds her feet in the team while also battling her own inner conflicts as her grandmother, Winnie’s, health declines. Winnie’s character and her situation is written with a genuine warmth and sensitivity as well as a little bit of humour. Lucy’s own guilt about the choices she is having to make about Winnie’s future will be instantly recognisable to anyone who has faced a similar situation. Lucy’s character makes this so much more than a gangland thriller or police procedural. Something about her draws you right into her life and Lucy Murphy is just as important as the plot. Lucy has a personal connection to the estate and in No Fear, we are privy to a little more information as that story arc continues to develop. The relationship between Lucy and Winnie would melt your heart, it just makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.
However, No Fear, isn’t warm and fuzzy, oh no, it has gangs, drugs and domestic abuse and right in the heart of it all is a man that Lucy and her team are determined to bring down, Gerard Jennings. I’m not going to say any more about this side of it, what you need to know, can be found in the blurb, but just let’s say I was spitting feathers a few times at Jennings character.
No Fear is a fabulous fusion of gritty gangland and police procedural and Casey Kelleher has got it down to a fine art. She has created a cast of characters who could live round the corner from you, folk who are relatable and scenarios that are not only page turning but also scarily authentic. With each of her series she almost creates a soap opera within the pages and become immersed in the lives of those who live on the Griffin estate.
Casey Kelleher, once again you have nailed it and I hope that book three in the series will be winging its way onto the bookshelves very soon! Fans of gritty gangland and police procedurals you are seriously not going to want to miss this!
My review will be on the blog tour in October via my blog
A good thriller set in London about Lucy Murphy, a young police officer, who gets tangled up in the lifes of a local drugdealer spiraling out of control and his abused wife who wants out. The book reads easily away and I kept reading to see where it would lead. Lucy is supposed to be the main character but to me it felt it was more about the storyline with the wife and her children. Not saying there is anything wrong with that cause I was completely invested in Debra's situation and hoping she could find a way out. I also loved the relationship between Lucy and her grandmother Winnie. I would happily read a following book to see what life
has in store for them both.

After reading this first book in this series and totally loving it, I will admit to feeling a bit apprehensive about this book. Would it be as good, could it live up to the brilliance of book 1 ? Well I needn’t have worried. This book was just superb. A gritty gangland thriller full of twists and turns to keep you glued to the book until the very last page.
Wow what a story was hooked from the beginning, great plot with plenty of twists and turns every book I read of yours becomes my new favourite....
When DC Lucy Murphy meets Debra, wife of feared drug dealer Gerard Jennings, she sees a young woman in desperate need of help. Brutalised by her husband, Debra is too terrified to tell the police what she knows. But Lucy is determined to bring Gerard down – for Debra’s sake, and the safety of the Griffin Estate.
Meanwhile, after the death of one of his drug runners, Gerard is under pressure from his bosses to prove he’s still up to the job. Facing threats of violence as well as police interest, Gerard is getting desperate – and desperate men are the most dangerous of all.
As Lucy prepares to go undercover in Gerard’s gang to get the evidence she needs to arrest him, her beloved grandmother Winnie starts acting strangely. She mentions a man visiting her at night in her care home, but that makes no sense – does it?
Any distraction could prove deadly for Lucy and the people she’s trying to protect. But she has backed a vicious man into a corner, and he’ll stop at nothing to get what he wants.
Casey Kelleher you are an amazing author and my absolute favourite. Can not wait for what comes next, I would give this a million stars if I could because 🌟 🌟🌟🌟🌟 is not enough. This action packed thriller is released on the 6th October
What an amazing, addictive read, I was utterly captivated from the beginning, I literally couldn't put my kindle down, absolutely loved it.
Debra is the abused wife of feared drug dealer Gerard Jennings. They live on the notorious Griffin Estate. Beaten and bruised Debra is looking for a way out. DC Lucy Murphy desperately wants to help Debra but she is also battling her own demons. Can these two women forge an alliance and bring Gerard Jennings down?
No Fear is fast paced and action packed. This is a great follow up to the first book in this series. I am looking forward to the next one.
Another brilliant book by Casey Kelleher. Book after book she doesn’t disappoint. A great gangland story with very believable characters that you get to like, well most of them. The story was so gripping I couldn’t put it down and read it in a day, I also didn’t want it to end. I can’t wait for her next book, don’t keep us waiting too long!!!
Thanks to Netgalley and Bookouture for allowing me to read this Arc.
An absolutely fantastic book! But no surprise there because Casey Kelleher always delivers! Fast paced gangland thriller. Only one problem...now I have to wait for the next one!!
Omg Casey you have pulled it out of the hat again. A brilliant gangland book, the book wasn't rushed so you got to know each character. The book was so good i didnt want it to finish but wanted to know the ending as well. Cant wait to read some more by Casey
The things you do for love.
I don't want to give too much away and spoil the plot of the story but the character building in this book was great and there were many surprises along the way. I love the great relationship that you see in the book of a grandmother and her granddaughter..
This is the type of book that you don't want to end but you want to finish it so that you know what happens.
This is a book about gritty crime and the London underworld but it is also about much more, it is about the good and bad of relationships and that although emotions can be buried they are often bubbling away under the surface. The book also shows that those in power sometimes make decisions that we don't understand but they make those decisions for the right reasons and in what they believe to be right.
Well done to Casey Kelleher and Bookouture for getting this great book into print for us all to enjoy. Also, it was lovely to see the Facebook group, Gangland Governor, getting a nice mention in the acknowledgements.
Don't be fooled by the cover, people of both sexes and across the adult age ranges will enjoy this brilliant book from a great author who now stands proud in the gritty crime genre.

Wow this author is amazing, i have read every book by her and her writing just gets better and better.
This was great writing.
Casey Kelleher is becoming the queen of her genre
This is a well-written book, the text flows, and I did not even realize how the pages flew by. My problem with the book was that it actually starts after you've read half of the book. The first half is about setting the scene, descriptions and backgrounds. I don't think this is a smart way to write a mystery/thriller in a case like this when you don't need to have an in-dept knowledge of everything. The actual case itself started at the beginning of the second half of the book, and then everything moved quickly. I would rather have the actual story spread out through the entire book. The second half was intriguing, but it was over too fast. I felt this book was therefore out of balance; slow first half, and then a fast forward second half. I believe it would be an excellent read if the balance would be better. I like the protagonist, and I would like to get to know her better. 3,5 stars.
