I am a huge fan of Kelly Jamieson's hockey series and I am sooooo excited that she is writing another one! MUST LOVE DOGS....AND HOCKEY is the first book in the BEARS HOCKEY SERIES, and let me tell you we are off to a great start!

Lilly is having a tough go of things at the moment, she lost her job and her boyfriend but she's trying hard to turn things around for herself by walking dogs to help make the bills. I admire Lilly for doing what she has to do in order to keep a roof over her head, most in her predicament would go and live with their parents and wallow for a while.

Easton, now this man instantly melted my heart and you will understand why when you read the book and find out how Easton became the hero to an abandoned puppy. Easton has been through a lot in his life and not all of it was fun and games. There is a seriousness to him because of his past but it also makes him want to live in the now.

Lilly and Easton have an intense first meeting but it's quickly lightened up. Actually the majority of this book is on the lighter side which is refreshing right now. I loved the slow build between Easton and Lilly before things got hot and heavy, and their banter had me laughing out loud constantly.

Kelly Jamieson is my go to for hockey romances and if you enjoy Hockey Romances as much as I do I highly recommend this book to you.

Happy Reading!!!

Kelly Jamieson brings us a brand new hockey series and team with Must Love Dogs.... and Hockey.

We meet Easton, his Bears teammates, Lilly, and the dogs that bring them together. Both of the main characters have issues that they are struggling with, but the overall message of the story is uplifting with a dash of spice and puppy provided humor. I genuinely liked both characters and appreciated the emotional journey that they, especially Easton, took to decide if they could try for a happily ever after.

Ms Jamieson did an excellent job of layering several important social issues into the story as well. The messages came through in a way that was organic to the story, the characters, and their journeys. I am very curious to see what happens next for the Bears players and am hopeful that Easton and Lilly may have cameos in those stories.

I received an ARC from the publisher through NetGalley in exchange for an honest review. All opinions are my own.

I requested Must Love Dogs…and Hockey purely because of that adorable cover, especially since I’m a French Bulldog owner myself. And while I’m not typically into sports romance, and Kelly Jamieson is apparently prolific in that subgenre, it did not seem like a major part of the plot, so I was prepared to go in with an open mind.

And this story is just so cute. As expected, the dog, Otis, steals the show. I love the setup of the couple bonding over a dog, and the way this plays into a big fantasy of finding a dog that belongs to someone else, growing attached, and being assured that it won’t end in heartbreak is wonderful.

I love how Lilly and Easton feel like such real people, dealing with real-world issues along with navigating the possibility of their romance. While the story is largely lighthearted, I like how it handles things like past trauma and financial insecurity with sensitivity, while also providing a sense of hope.

This is such a cute story, and will definitely be keeping an eye out for more books from Jamieson especially if they also have a tug-at-your-heartstrings animal plot.

This book is just everything! Timely, with issues that are dealt with so well, and don’t detract from the romance but enhance it! And the romance is just so special! Also, there’s mention of my favorite author, Harlan Coben, so what’s not to love? I can’t wait for more of this series!

What a wonderful story Kelly wrote during this challenging time for our world. One of courage and hope and forgiveness. Easton and Lilly so deserved their happy ending and I can’t wait for the next story in the series ❤️

This was a fantastic start to the New York City Bears Hockey series! Kelly Jamieson always brings it, but she swept me away with this hockey romance. And Otis absolutely charmed me, as well as stealing the entire show. Written with such warmth and filled with emotion. So palpable her characters sneak into your heart and stay for a long time. A great book to lift your spirit and entertain and touch your soul. You don’t want to miss this one!

After getting fired for doing the right thing Lilly’s life has been a battle as she tries to figure out what direction she wants to take in the future. As a way of paying bills she decides to follow her heart and has begun walking dogs which is how she meets Easton when their dogs interact.

Easton is a professional hockey player with a painful past. He is trying to adjust to the new team he has been traded to when he finds himself the temporary caregiver to a dog he named Otis until he can locate his owner.
Due to his game schedule hiring Lilly seems like a win-win for both of them as he has someone to look after his dog when he isn’t able to and it gives Lilly the financial support she desperately needs. Lilly wants to maintain a strictly business relationship however the more time they spend together the more difficult that becomes but between the status of their careers and their pasts things are about to become complicated.

I really enjoyed Easton and Lilly together. Lilly allows Easton to open his heart to not only her but to his teammates as well while Easton understands and respects the decisions that Lilly has made which has brought her to where she now finds herself. Although their journey had a few setbacks the way they support each other is what makes their love so special.

Jamieson is a consistently fun author! Must Love doesn't disappoint. I am a hockey fanatic, so I am always looking for quality hockey romances.

Easton is the typical hockey, bachelor, playboy. He loves the game. He loves the life. Until one day when he finds himself scrambling to save a dog from his demise by elevator! Enter Otis -- the dog Easton never knew he wanted or needed.

Lilly is a woman who is determined to survive and thrive after life deals her a crappy hand in her career. She never thought dog-sitting would be her path to happiness.

Easton's job opportunity gives Lilly the spark her new business needs. They strike up a friendship too. Lilly knows Easton is a playboy and works to avoid dating him. Easton has found a woman who he likes for more than just one night.

Fun. Funny. Entertaining. Sweet. Enjoy Must Love Dogs. . .and Hockey! It's a winner for me!

4 1/2 Stars for this sweet hockey romance!

Lilly's life just went from bad to worse ... she lost another job and her debt is mounting. She decides to start walking dogs to make some extra money while she looks for another job. Easton saved a dog from certain death and then ends up keeping the dog, but he has no idea how to look after one. When he accidentally meets Lilly while walking his new dog, he ends up hiring her to look after the dog while he's on the road with his hockey team. It doesn't take long for Easton (the star NHL player) to want more with Lilly (the broke dog walker ... and Lilly to want more of Easton.

This is a sweet romance that had me rooting for Lilly and Easton to get together! Lilly was so brave and always had a positive attitude, while Easton was a little more on the cynical side. I was glad that Otis (the dog) helped to pull his head out of his a$$. As I live in Saskatchewan, I always love Ms Jamieson's references to all things Canadian. And parts of this story hit really close to home! Ms Jamieson's books are always a great read ... ones I always love to read when I need a pick-me-up!

I have literally never in my life watched a hockey game, but I love hockey romance as a trope - go figure. Add in the dog element, and this was a must read for me!

Easton and Lilly's story was sweet, fast, and enjoyable. There was lots of whitty banter, Otis (the dog) was absolutely delightful,

I wish there had been a little more to the story overall. It was a really short, fast read, so there wasn't much in the way of development of side characters or getting a feel for Lilly and Easton's every day lives. Some of the situations felt a little contrived/forced in order to fit current day events, and some of the dialogue (internal and external both) was a little ridiculous (though that's true of a lot of books in the genre), so I found myself rolling my eyes more than a couple of times during this book, but it ultimately didn't have a real impact on my enjoyment of the story.

Very cute story. The only problem was that it was too short. Lilly and Easton have suffered major losses in their life. Lilly has been struggling with finding a new job, after she blew the whistle on the illegal business practices if her former employer. Her former employer and mouthed her in the business world.

Easton lost his father, brother and several friends in a bus accident eight years earlier. After his brother and father died his mother retreated /shut down emotionally. He has since felt like he has nothing in his life except his job as a hockey player.

The two meet by accident when they run into each other while walking dogs.

Absolutely was not prepared to love Easton and Otis as much as I did.

He’s cocky and kinda mean but oh goodness when you start to see all the depths of his heart you just swoon. He ends up with Otis after saving the sweet crazy dog and now he needs help with him. Life as a Hockey player is hectic and Lilly saves the day being able to help watch Otis.

I love that Lilly stood up for her feelings and pushed Easton to be better. Easton has to do a lot of soul searching and reliving trauma from his past. This is such a great story with plenty of Steam and feels. When you see how Lilly saves the day again it’s just so sweet! Great read and will definitely read more from the author!

Perfect together!!!

Oh these two...I knew before I opened this book I’d love it. The author writing is flawless, and the words are so captivating and intimate I have become a huge fan of this author. She writes with so much intensity and emotion pulled from each book it’s felt page after page. Some are quick witted story lines are so perfect and lets you believe you have a front row seat. So being able to read this love story didn’t disappoint. The authors ability to have two separate individuals struggling in their everyday life and try to navigate someone else’s thoughts, needs and desires was intense and gives all the fills. Easton and Lilly come alive page after page. Plus so much sweet Otis.

Authors Blurb:
Lilly: My life is like the love child of a train wreck and a dumpster fire right now. I’ve been canned, my professional reputation is shredded, and now I’m walking dogs to make ends meet. But I still believe everything will work out. Somehow.
Then a dog at the park attacks my friend’s dog. At first, I’m ready to give the owner hell—but it turns out he’s in desperate need of doggie daycare. I figure, why not? I love dogs and I need the cash. Too bad his cocky bad boy attitude annoys me. He’s too damn cute for his own good. And I’m not talking about the dog.

Easton: My coach is riding my ass and I’m not handling it well. When I’m saddled with an abandoned pooch, my teammate thinks a dog will keep my temper in check. I think I have enough problems already.
But when my new dog gets into a tussle that leads me to meet a smoking hot chick who knows how to handle the rascal, I start to think pet ownership isn’t all bad. At least it gives me an excuse to see Lilly again. . . .
Neither of us are interested in a relationship. First they steal your bed, then they steal your heart. And I’m not talking about the dog.

This book has everything I love in a book. Then you add that it's beautifully written and believable. It is easily a five star read. Written in dual POV my personal favorite this story flows so incredibly well that the next thing you know your 80% into the book and loving every second of it. The believable way the characters interact is perfect. Run, Hop, Jump or use your (1 click) finger to do whatever you have to do and get this amazing book. It'll break your heart, you'll want to scream with frustration and it'll let you discover that love just might conquer all. The chemistry is steamy and sweet and oh so romantic.

Thanks Netgally for letting me read and review.📚💕

I loved everything about this book. The characters had great chemistry, there is hockey and of course, dogs!
Easton is a professional hockey player and quickly becomes the caretaker of an adorable dog named, Otis. He runs into Lilly and offers her a job to watch Otis while he is gone for games or to take Otis out for walks. Lilly is in need of the money and the recommendation for her new dog walking business so she takes him up on his offer.
They have a business relationship, however, there is an attraction between them that they can both feel. Easton also is falling in love with Otis and loves having him around. I loved seeing their relationship progress from just business to something more. I love how some tough issues were tackled throughout this story and how both Easton and Lilly handled them.
This is a great introduction to a whole new hockey team, as well and I can’t wait to get to know more about some of the other Bears players!
Must Love Dogs…and Hockey is a fun, adorable hockey romance that has some depth to it. A MUST READ!

*I received an arc from Netgalley & publisher for an honest review*. Kelly Jamieson is an amazing author & what a wonderful book!! It gives you all the feels. Lilly is currently unemployed due to unfortunate circumstances & was walking her friends dog when Easton, professional hockey player, was walking his new dog Otis (dog was abandoned in his apartment building) when the two dogs have a scuffle. He ends up hiring her to dog sit for him & helps her in setting up her own dog walking business. They become close, getting to know each other through Otis but both have their issues about relationships. Easton has a heartbreaking story (won’t spoil it) that will make you cry. She stands up for what is right despite it hurting her career & she encourages him to do the same (again no spoilers). You will love both of these characters & the adorable Otis🐾. This book takes you on their journey with the wonderful supporting secondary characters to get their HEA. I highly recommend this book!!

After being rescued, a dog is abandoned in Easton's building. Though it was supposed to be a temporary situation, Easton could not resist this dog and knows he cannot not handle him alone. Fate brings him into contact with Lilly, a down on her luck dog walker, and though Easton wasn't looking for romance or a dog, he found both to be welcomed additions in his life.

I am well known in these parts as a hockey romance lover, but Jamieson went and sweetened the deal by working an adorable pup into the story. Could things get any better? Well, they actually did, because I found this to be quite a fun, sweet, and heartwarming romance.

Lilly and Easton were fantastic together. Lots of chemistry and great banter made them easy to ship, but in each other, they also found the encouragement and support they had been missing. Lilly was still recovering from losing her job and her ongoing whistleblower case. At the same time, she was trying to blaze her own path with a new dog-walking-day-care type business. Not many people believed she could make this work, but Easton did.

Jamieson ripped my heart out with Easton's backstory. Wow! Utterly heartbreaking. I don't want to go into detail with this. It ends up being something really important in this book, and I want you to uncover it all as intended. Needless to say, Lilly was a gift for him. She was someone to give him the love and affection he had gone without for so long. She helped him process a lot and encouraged him in many areas of his life.

As with all her novels, Jamieson assembled an interesting group of players to inhabit this world, and I am eager to learn more about them. I watched them play, on and off the ice, and enjoyed the camaraderie they shared. The family vibe was alive and well, and that's something I love seeing.

I need to mention the dog, Otis. Nothing like some 6 foot 5 man being handled by a pup. Watching their bond grow was something that melted my heart. And, we all know dog antics can add a fun element to any story. Otis definitely earned all his page time, and he was just the sweetest thing.

I greatly enjoyed getting to know Lilly, Easton, and Otis. That epilogue has me chomping at the bit for the next book too! I anticipate a feels tsunami based on what was revealed at the end there, and I can't wait!

3.5 stars Another enjoyable hockey love story from Kelly Jamieson. The Bears are a New York team, and Canadian player Easton ends up with a dog and meets Lilly at the dog park. She becomes his dog walker, then friends, then more. The two of them were sweet together, and the book was a fairly light and quick read. There is a lot in here that is focused on dogs, given how Lilly decides to focus on that for work and Easton is very consumed by his new dog, who is also the reason for bringing them together.
I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

Honestly, I struggled with this book. I had a hard time connecting to both Easton and Lily, but what was worse was they didn’t seem to have any connections to anyone else, either. All of their relationships with teammates, roommates and friends seemed very tenuous. One of my favorite things about other books by the author is her secondary character building. I feel like we were missing that in this story.
I thought the way Easton inherited Otis was interesting (if not a bit dangerous), which led to him meeting Lily, but their chemistry was surface level for me. I liked the lesson in courage and standing up for yourself and others as well. So while it was a pleasant read, there wasn’t as much depth as I expected.

I received an advance copy of the book from NetGalley. My thoughts and opinions are given freely and honestly.

Kelly Jamison has a knack of combining smart romances, sports, and complete characters. This time we even get an adorable dog, Otis. The Sport is hockey, the conflicts are real issues that are current in real life, and are looked at with a clear eye.

And There are DOGS!
