Happy Narwhalidays is a fun and cute contribution to the Narwhal and Jelly series. The story line is sweet, and my daughter and I loved that it wasn't a traditional "Santa" or Christmas book. Highly recommend for any early graphic novel readers and fans of the series!

'Happy Narwhalidays' by Ben Clanton is the 5th book in the Narwhal and Jelly series.

The holidays have come to the undersea world. There are narwhaliday carols and snow (!) and warm waffle pudding. The culmination of the event is the arrival of the Merry Mermicorn, but first Jelly has to find the perfect gift.

This series is always a must read for me when a new volume comes along. I always wonder how the creativity is going to go, and Ben Clanton always brings his A game.

I adore Narwhal & Jelly books, and I'm tickled that they now have a holiday book. The loveliest thing about the series is the gentle fun and humor tucked into simple stories that manage to capture a multiplicity of views among the denizens of the sea.
While Narwhal and Jelly are looking for the fabled Mermicorn, other creatures are celebrating the narwhalidays in different ways - going coral-ing, lighting the minnow- orah, and shooting off To sparkle for the winter solstice celebration,

As usual, puns abound, along with good tide-ings to you and your fin!

I had a great time reading this book. Narwhal couldn’t wait for the holidays to be here, but Jelly wasn’t as excited about it. All this time of year meant to them was that the waters got colder. A surprise gift brought them some comfort, but also gave them an important mission. Yet as this tale came to a close, Jelly may have started to believe in the magic of the holidays after all. Kids of all ages are sure to have a lot of fun reading this graphic novel.

It's been a little while since I've read a Narwhal and Jelly book, but this was so cute and fun! It takes place during the holidays and we see them getting excited fro the Merry Mermicorn (SO CUTE) and deciding to find the perfect present. I loved how there was a story inside by Narwhal and Jelly, and on top of that we got some fun facts about narwhals, jellyfish, and other creatures. Perfect gift for thge Narwhalidays ;)

This was my first Narwhal & Jelly book but it will not be my last! I love narwhals and Christmas so this was just a great combo! I am always building my school counseling library- I am an elementary school counselor- and the morals and values and the story itself of this book will make this an excellent addition. The illustrations were amazing. The book is long enough to entertain and tell a good story, but not so long that I would worry about losing their attention. Thanks so much for the ARC. I will be visiting my local bookstore to find more Narwhal & Jelly stories! Thank you!

Yay! Narwal and Jelly are back at but. This edition, leaders see them in the winter experiencing the holidays. Narwhal's cheer as well as Jelly's reluctance is all too common during the holidays, which makes these characters so relatable. I love that facts are sporadically placed in the book. It keeps a tone of learning as well as enjoyment. Definitely this best year's stock stuffer!!

This is a great addition to the series. This is a fun story and the illustrations are cute. Definatly a great book to add to children's collections.

Five mermicorn stars for this new installment in the Narwhal and Jelly series! I absolutely love this series and often recommend to kids who come into my library looking for a graphic novel. Narwhal and Jelly are delightful characters and their friendship is a wonderful example for kids. The puns and undersea facts sprinkled throughout greatly enhance the reader experience. So much fun for a wide range of ages.

Incredibly cute and full of puns as usual, I think fans of the Narwhal series will love this version jam-packed full of Christmas-y puns and fun! I love that we see all the characters cameo

Narwhal and Jelly books are always a little off-kilter but full of fun. And this book is joyous as usual. A little too short and somewhat less developed than usual but still fun.
It’s Christmas-time under the sea though that’s not exactly what it’s called. Again, mixing a fun story with some science facts, Clinton introduces the idea of the Merry Mermicorn who brings gifts to the underwater sea creatures. When a gift is left for Jelly that is just perfect, he knows that he will need to come up with something fantastic for Narwhal as well.

This was so cute! we are such a fan of Narwhal and Jelly in this house that we couldn't wait to read it. The art as always was adorable and the dialogue between the two was great. I loved that it showed that there were different holiday seasons. That not everyone celebrates the same things. It is a great way to show acceptance and understanding.

I always love a good Narwhal book!

This book was funny and reviewed two different creatures, Narwhal and Jellyfish. In this short book, they talk about the mystical Mermicorn and presents for Christmas. Perfect for readers ages 7-10.

My daughter (6 years old) and I just recently discovered the Narwhal and Jelly books and we're very glad we did. The graphic novel reading is simple and fun for my daughter, who is blossoming in her reading abilities. This was a fun holiday story about friendship and gift giving, with a lot of Narwhal and Jelly (and friends) silliness thrown in too! If you're a fan of the series, you should definitely plan on adding this one to your kids' (or friend's kid's, or niece's or nephew's, or... I think you get it) wishlist for Christmas! I adore Narwhal and Jelly! This book is perfect for the coming holiday season. Its fairly open ended in terms of any actual holiday celebrated but it touches on several traditions. Best if all, it highlights the spirit of giving and being together with loved ones.

Ben Clanton's work is always worth a visit for a wide range of readers. This latest entry in the Narwhal series is sure to please. I love these books as an adult reader, and I love even more what they do for young readers' imaginations.

We are big fans of Narwhal and Jelly books, and our kids are much older than the target audience. Narwhal and Jelly are celebrating Narwhalidays! And it would not be complete without their friends, waiting for the “The Merry Mermicorn”, and cool ocean facts.

This is the FIFTH Narwhal & Jelly adventure! My daughter (7yo) LOVES these books! She is not a fan of reading but she never passes up a Narwhal & Jelly story and this one did not disappoint!! We especially like reading the fun facts included between the first 2 sections of the book! We can’t wait for the next adventure!!

This book is wonderfully festive and adorable. I enjoyed the short graphic novel narratives, and it brought great joy to my curmudgeonly heart to see an illustration of a shark wearing a Santa hat. This is fun for kids and adults who enjoy this series, and can also be a fun introduction for people who aren't familiar with the previous books, but think that a Christmas book about narwhals would be a lot of fun. It is!
