I love the Narwhal and Jelly series! It's also well-loved by my patrons. The kids really love this series. Because of the publication date, I couldn't order it for this FY, but I will be able to when the new one starts! I can't wait! This was such a warm and fuzzy read full of the usual silliness that all of us love about this series. I'm already wishing there was a #6!

My kids LOVE the Narwhal and Jelly books. This one was funny and cute just like the previous ones we have read. Easy to read and understand and it had fun facts in it as well. My children (both boys and girls) really had fun reading this.

Narwhal and Jelly are back at it again in this cute holiday edition. My daughter LOVES these books and so do I. They are cute and funny, just perfect for young readers.

Oh my goodness! We are so happy we got to review the eARC of Happy Narwhalidays (A Narwhal and Jelly Book #5) by Ben Clanton on Netgalley. My youngest daughter and I have been huge fans of author/illustrator Ben Clanton. We love his Narwhal & Jelly series. As book 5 focuses on Narwhal’s favorite time of the year, the festive season, it’s cheerful and a joy to read. We love Narwhal’s excitement towards the arrival of the Merry Mermicorn (she is part mermaid, part unicorn). It’s fun to see that Jelly is skeptical about her existence. We were both laughing out loud as we read the book. We love how the author always includes fun educational sea creature facts in this series while playing with word humor. You will learn new things by reading this book. This holiday-themed book is going to be a perfect gift for readers during the festive winter holiday season. We recommend this book to early readers. However, older kids and adults can enjoy the book too. We certainly did! The story is truly adorable. It brings you happiness, joy, and laughter into your life. The illustrations are adorable as well. We plan on purchasing the final printed copy of the book when it comes out on September 8th! We can’t wait to add this book to our home library. Narwhal and Jelly are back and getting ready to celebrate the holidays. Narwhal loves the cold; Jelly - not so much. While Narwhal is making some holiday plans that definitely include waffle pudding, Jelly tries to figure out a present for him. He asks for help from their friends but they are all busy getting ready for various holiday celebrations. Happy to see different holidays included. In the end, they celebrate together.
Clanton's characters enthrall mid-elementary readers. The expressions and text draw them in and make them feel they are in the water as part of the action.

I have been waiting for this book for months and I'm super happy to have been approved for an arc. "Happy Narwhalidays" is a festive and fun-filled graphic novel that is a delight to read and has adorable illustrations. Ben Clanton takes readers on another adventure with Narwhal and Jelly.

Jelly seemed much more relaxed and open since meeting Narwhal. He doesn't take Narwhal's friendship and unconditional kindness for granted. He tries his best to find the perfect gift for Narwhal.

Narwhal is very festive and full of holiday cheer and love for waffles. He's excited for the Mermicorn to spread joy to the whole wide sea. His infinite optimism never fails to make me smile.

What's really cool about this series is that you learn a lot of new, cool facts about sea life. These facts are woven into the story and have a page or two of just fun facts.

I love Clanton's writing style. He takes a lot of creative liberties with silly play on words and puns.

"Happy Narwhalidays" is the perfect gift for readers of all ages. You won't want to miss out on this extra special, magical book.

I am a HUGE fan of Narwhal and Jelly and I am incredible excited for Book 5 in this series. And it did not disappoint. I loved that this one focuses on the holiday season and Narwhal and Jelly are back as a team to have fun together as they provide fun facts about the ocean. All their friends from the previous books also make an appearance. It’s a book about giving and friendship and believing in things that may not always be seen. Truly a joyful addition to this beloved series. Absolutely love it! And I’m already eagerly awaiting book 6!

I had the help of two eight-year olds and a six year old in the reading and reviewing of this book. They have read the previous books in this series and have enjoyed every single one. There was lots of giggling, and there were exclamations about mermaids!

This book fits right in with the rest of the series with its easy-to-read format and adorable illustrations. This would make a great holiday gift for early readers!

My students already LOVE the Narwhal and Jelly books, so I know they can't wait for book 5! Another silly and sweet story, this one is filled with holiday cheer (and yet another wonderfully addictive song!) If you haven't already, make sure you purchase the Narwhal and Jelly books for your children or students. They'll be begging you for Happy Narwhalidays!
