This was such a good book. But I have to admit, it seriously tortured me. The main love interests being constantly forced apart was absolutely killing me. My heart just aches for them. Altogether this book was pretty good and finished the duology really well. Most books that I have read have gone in a different direction to forcing lovers apart, which made this book so interesting and made me feel so much more strongly for the characters. I would definitely recommend this book to anyone who likes high society, assassins, magic undertones, and heartache.

I very interesting conclusion. I was hooked after the first book, except for the unexpected and off ending. Going into book two I was hoping for some redemption to certain aspects and found none. The magic and adventure of the first book was there, but not the ya feel. It felt heavier and more adult. It just wasn’t everything I hoped it would be.
