A very eye-opening book - I was unaware of the stories of those who are Christian in the Muslim world. The faith of the women in this book is inspiring, for Christians and non-Christians alike. We can all relate to this book in some way.
A very good and enlightening book! So good to hear some real testimonies of what God is doing in the hearts and lives of Muslim people, especially women. I read Tom's book, Dreams and Visions several years ago, and it's also very good. I've learned a lot from both of these books, and feel like I know better how to pray Muslims and those who have come to Christ!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for the advance e-copy of this book. The opinions are entirely my own.
This book was incredibly eye-opening. I loved hearing about God's glory reaching into the corners of the world where Jesus is detested and Christians mocked or sometimes worse, killed. The faith of the women, whether they came to Christ on their own or through others, showed immense faith, grace, and perseverance. I recommend this book to any Christian who may need to be uplifted and reminded of God's omnipresence.
A fascinating read about the power of truth in a dark place. The writers’ detail of accounts kept me reading long into the night.
This is an excellent book. It is so important for us to know what Muslim women are going through and what God is doing in their lives. I was encouraged and challenged by the stories in the books.
I received a complementary copy of this book from the publisher for the purpose of an honest review.
#Women Who Risk# by Tom Doyle and Jo Ann Doyle is a nonfiction Christian book. Tom is an author and pastor . He has been a pastor in the Middle East for 25 years. His wife also helped write this book. This book is has gripping , heart bending accounts of women in the Middle East who have become Christians after being Muslim. The stories are so moving. The reader will have a hard time putting the book. This women have faced so many challenges by being married to a Muslim but now they risk being killed for their faith. So many stories like these are really not openly shared. Tom and Jo Ann have been so kind for 25 years sacrificing and helping the unreached people for Christ in these difficult areas. The transformation in these women after coming to Christ is very dramatic. They are often threatened by their families and other people in the Muslim community after becoming a Christian. . Thank you to the author, netgalley, the publisher for allowing me to read and review this well written gripping book. I will post my review on facebook, Goodreads, Bookbub, my blog, CBD.com Barnes and Noble, books a million.
