I really enjoyed this book, I am actually planning on trying to buy a copy of it. I didn't get a chance to actually embroider as much as I wanted to while I had access to because of my health, but the patterns were easy to follow, super cute, and pretty easy patterns even for people who haven't done a ton of embroidery.
It was easy to follow, helpful and well put together. I really enjoyed having access to this while I did, and can't wait to be able to get a copy myself.
From traditional to contemporary designs, this workbook includes 30 finished products with step-by-step techniques and patterns to embroider. Some were much more complex than I was comfortable taking on with my beginner needle skills. It's a great book to work through in order to improve over time. If that's your goal, you want to have this on your shelf! I liked many of the projects but some were beyond my skill set. As a NetGalley recipient, I did not spend enough time with it to provide more comprehensive feedback.
This is full of sweet animal embroidery patterns. Some are realistic, many are whimsical - there are so many! All are adorable. There are also good instructions for beginner embroideries and lots of tips, ideas, and techniques.
A fun and colorful book. The patterns are clear and easy to follow even my kids, although at first glance it may seem intimidating. My daughter absolutely loved this book and was brave enough to try and make her first project. She completed her first piece about a week ago. Thank you so much!
Fun, bold colorful patterns that are easy to follow in a variety of styles from more realistic to not so realistic.. Great for any animal lover.
The animals here were so cute! I can’t wait to buy this book and get to work. I liked the hedgehog design the most
I'm new to embroidery and I'm looking for new challenges and inspiration. This book gave some good ideas, great inspiration and a few patterns easy enough to try right away. I found this book wasn't meant for new people in the hobby, but it's full of great patterns and colorful ideas!
This is a fantastic book on animal embroidery that is clearly written with excellent instructions. It explains how to do each type of stitch and has a variety of cute animal embroidery projects to try. I would recommend it to anyone interested in embroidery.
This is a really good workbook that clearly sets out how to do each stitch and has a variety of cute animal embroidery projects to try. I would recommend it to anyone looking to get into embroidery.
This embroidery book was adorable. I actually have already purchased this for a friend who is very into embroidery. I wanted to check it out since I am more into cross stitch, but I am interested in learning more on embroidery.
This is a well put together embroidery book, suitable for beginners while being useful to more advanced embroiderers as well. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, and the projects start fairly simply before progressing to more involved needle painting. The patterns are adorable, though those who can't handle cute might be disappointed (though it's hard for me to believe, some people just don't like cute things, poor dears).

This book is so cute! It has 30 adorable animal embroidery patterns, and is suitable for new crafters and experienced ones alike
This book was great! It is easy to use and takes you step by step through the process of making various animals. The designs are ADORABLE and caused me to have a hard time choosing what to do first.
Whether you are a beginner or an advanced embroidery aficionado, you will find the designs in this book both easy and challenging at times. What better way to learn new stitches and ways to be creative than to have fun while smiling as you embroider your way through these gorgeous designs? Make them bigger or smaller---everyone will beg you to make them one.
Such a cute little how-to craft book. I am really enjoying embroidering lately, so this was such a treat of an ARC to get to explore new ideas and patterns. Thank you to NetGalley and Fox Chapel Publishing and Landauer Publishing for a copy of this audiobook for an honest review.
Very well done book about the concept of hand embroidery or thread-painting naturalistic animals. Embroidery as a medium is forgiving, meditative, and tactile. The book encourages a personal and playful approach, as opposed to a prescriptive one. The author invites stitchers to experiment, to make both changes and mistakes. The list of materials shows options to colors and threads used in the book. Project suggestions range from hoop embroidery (hoop-as-frame) to placemats, tote bags, clothing, and jewelry. Methods and techniques are clearly explained with quality photos. #NetGalley
This is a good book for beginners, or for anyone looking to get into thread painting. I especially felt like the thread painting information was very helpful, since a lot of other embroidery books I've looked at didn't include much about that. Unfortunately for me, Long's artistic style just isn't my taste and so I don't think I'll be using any of her patterns. They tend towards nursery decor, and if that's what you're embroidering for, then I think you'll like this. I'm just not into it.
If the hedgehog clutching a bouquet on the cover doesn't melt your heart - you have no soul!
All the how-to bases are covered here, from pattern transfer steps through finishing techniques. There are plenty of sweet projects to choose from, including a smiling sloth that will brighten anyone's day.
Projects for beginners are included as well, with easy-to-follow instructions.
This one is definitely worth owning!
I'm in love with this book, and I don't say that lightly. This book is the perfect blend of beginners and intermediate information and projects. Any reader that actually does some of the projects won't be able to come out with better skills on the other side. The author offered comprehensive descriptions without too much information. It flows well and is easy to follow. I look forward to doing some of the projects in the book when I get an opportunity. I do wish the author had included the patterns in the ARC so that I could test drive them, but I feel like I can assume they would also be of good quality.
Super cute patterns, detailed intro perfect for beginners - but the techniques can be quite advanced. Can't decide which one to start with, they are all gorgeous!
