Unfortunately there was a glitch on downloading this book so I am unable to give a full review just an average mark

Cute idea, mixed results. Sometimes you just need a short brain teaser puzzle and this book delivers that.

Good if u haven’t got a long time to waste - good wee book to keep u thinking - however I do think these types of books are better in hard copy rather than kindle

Extremely disappointed but this book was released in a format that I couldn't seem to access on my devices.

Absolutely love the concept though - would be the kind of thing I would pick up if I saw it in a store

Good fun. An enjoyable way to pass the time - especially on car rides!

I loved brain teasers like this growing up, and this was such a fun reminder of that time. The puzzles were sharp and entertaining, I really enjoyed playing along.

This was a very neat book. My son (12) and I had fun reading the puzzles and solving them together. It was interesting to see how our thought process worked. Some of them were tough to figure out. A fun, fast read.

The title intrigued me. As a detective stories fans, I love this kind of things. But sadly, the book is not made for non-american like me. There are stories I can't solve because of unmentioned circumstances. As much as it is fun, sometimes it's also frustrating to find out that because of certain rules I didn't know, the results were different.

These crime brain teaser puzzles are interesting! They are fun to share with family, too, in small groups of puzzles.

Unfortunately. I didn’t find the scenarios intriguing enough to hold my interest. The scenarios were too basic and I didn't like that I had to keep going to the back for the answers after a very short story, Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the arc.

I enjoyed this book quite a bit, it reminded me a lot of solving the Encyclopedia Brown mysteries as a kid. You read the crime and then try to figure it out the solution. I enjoyed this book more than the pencil free puzzles, but that's mostly because mysteries are my thing. My only quibble is that sometimes there is not enough information provided so that the reader can actually figure it out. Otherwise, great book and I can think of many uses for it.

This book made me feel like an amateur Sherlock Holmes!

An entertaining collection of puzzles, dressed in an interesting format. These are great to dip into. You'll find yourself mulling them over when you're doing other things. A great read.

I picked this up looking forward to some fun logic puzzles--almost like the Mr. Mystery books from when I was a kid. While some of these were sort of enjoyable, for the most part this became an irritating toss aside book. For instance, many of these cases couldn't actually be solved by examining the "evidence" presented in the crime descriptions. Instead, some of the answers were akin to "well there was someone hiding in the back room watching through a crack in the door" and other such nonsense that is in no way able to be inferred from the case decription. That's not a "brain teaser" nor does it end up being much fun.

fun little book to distract from everything going on. while I disagreed with some of the justifications, i enjoyed as a whole.

Interesting short crime puzzles. Nice entertainment during breaks or for rainy days. I would say this one is best as a printed book because of the solutions at the back of the book. But the ebook format is nice too.

Thanks to Netgalley and the publisher for the opportunity to read this! All opinions are my own.

I like how short the puzzles are and how if you are paying attention and think logically then you can solve them. I also like how the solutions are provided but at the end so that way you don't unintentionally see the solution while you are thinking. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced readers copy of this book thanks to NetGalley, the publisher, and the author.
