This might be my first Jessica Scott book and although it didn't particularly shine for me, I was still impressed by her writing style and will be looking forward to reading more from her.

I LOVE a good enemies to lovers and this book didn’t disappoint! The chemistry between the MCs was palpable and I adored watching that push and pull between them. Can you say five alarm fire? *fans self*

The love scenes were steamy and well-written, with some different positions as Claire deals with trauma that impacts on her life. The contrast between Claire as a former enlisted officer whose sometimes reckless personality bucks authority, and Evan, a West Point graduate with a rigid and controlled view of the military and his private life, plays out very well.

Really everything worked here, except the romance for me. However, readers who enjoyed Because of You and the romance in that story will I think enjoy Until There Was You as well.

I like Jessica Scott's Coming Home series. It's clear she knows her stuff having served in the military herself. Until There Was You is another solid book in the series. I really loved Claire and Evan's rivalry and Evan was soooo swoon worthy I was excited for their HEA.
