Jack and Layla were thrown together by a bachelor auction for the local animal shelter Jack spends a great deal of time trying to talk Layla into dates that she’s too shy and nervous to want to attend.
Jack has no problem with women he isn’t shy at all and knows how appealing he is. Layla on the other hand isn’t confident, she has a lot of insecurities and she’s still a virgin.
The question becomes can Layla overcome her issues and deal with her mother so they can have a relationship or not. This was a quick little romance! The Wyoming Cowboy series is one of my favorites!

I thoroughly enjoyed The Bachelor Cowboy by Jessica Clare. Jack and Layla's story was a sweet, slow burn!

THE BACHELOR COWBOY did not disappoint as the cowboys seem to get more swoon-worthy as the series progresses. It’s the sixth book in THE WYOMING COWBOY series, and it is hot, hot, hot. We are reunited with characters we’ve met before, along with the small town of Painted Barrel, but this is Layla and Jack’s story. Jack, along with his brothers, has moved to Painted Barrel from Alaska. Layla is an accountant for the masses. When she bids high on him at a bachelor auction, for a charity of course, she sets tongues wagging. He’s been attracted to her since their paths first crossed, but she seemed to look right through him.

As their relationship builds after their first planned date, things go off the rails in other areas of Layla’s life. Namely, anything that has to do with her mother—a nasty piece of work who’s also a narcissist.

It was fun to watch Jack and Layla’s relationship build, especially when Jack agrees to take things slow until she’s comfortable. Neither realizes how invested the other is in the relationship, but it’s eye-opening when they do.

There are multiple storylines being told that work together. Jack’s relationship with his uncle, his brothers, and their significant others enriches the story. There’s a lot of ranching going on and a dog that Jack and Layla care for together. Layla has an unusual hobby that is highlighted more than once.

The romance is satisfying, the descriptions vivid and the emotions warming. Layla becomes part of a whole new world, and her growth is satisfying. The story has a nice flow to it, and the epilogue that takes place three months after the story ends feels right. I look forward to reading the next book in the series, HOLLY JOLLY COWBOY.

This was a sexy cowboy romance with a slow burn and fun story concept. I love the auction storyline and thought the characters meshed well together. I really enjoyed this one!

It’s been absolute ages since I have read a Jessica Clare book, but I saw this one and thought why not? It’s been a long time since I’ve read a cowboy book and I found that I enjoyed Clare’s easy and fun writing style. She cracks a lot of jokes, making the characters easy to enjoy. However, I do sometimes think that the humor gets a little childish in some places, making me wonder if other adults actually think this is funny. But I guess humor is difficult to write when everyone is so different.

My favorite thing about this book is the hero, Jack. He was sexy, funny, and charming all at the same time. Layla took me a bit more to warm up to but I also think that’s due to her shy personality.

This is the sixth book in the Wyoming cowboy series and although I haven’t read any of the other books in this series, I found that I could easily get into this one. Despite some minor blips, I enjoyed this book and would recommend it for a fun and easy read. I might make it a habit to return back to this series whenever I want to read about a sexy cowboy again!

It's been a while since I read a cowboy romance and I'm not really sure what I've been waiting on. I really liked this one. It was a good #MassMarketMay pick. I mostly listened to the audio for this one and I enjoyed the narrator. Jack and Layla's story was sweet and hot, a combination I thoroughly enjoy. They were easy to root for. Now I feel like I need to go back and read the earlier books in this series.

I love the Wyoming Cowboy series! There is something about these Watson brothers that I can’t get enough of. While this wasn’t my favorite one, I did think it was okay. I could have lived without drama from Layla’s mother and the “I’m not like other girls” vibes the author kept throwing out from Layla. For the most part, I enjoyed this and the story was cute.

New to this series, I was expecting a gentle romance. It was that, plus a lot more. Shy girl buys hot guy at a charity auction, romance ensues. It felt like it was originally a sweet romance and then decided to spice things up and put the hot stuff in there. She couldn't decide what kind of a relationship she wanted. It was easy to see where the plot with the mother's less than legal land dealings was going, but that's what kept me reading.

THE BACHELOR COWBOY is the sixth book in Jessica Clare’s “Wyoming Cowboys” series. In this story, an accountant wins a cowboy at a bachelor auction and isn’t quite sure what to do with him. The heroes in this series are unique in many ways yet equally amazeballs. In THE BACHELOR COWBOY, Jack Watson is charming and fun. Women love him, but he sometimes wishes that people would take him a little more seriously. When he meets Layla, she is the cute girl of his dreams, and doesn’t think he’s just a loveable goofball. The villain in this story is Layla’s mother – even though she doesn’t think of herself as such.

Jack and Layla might never have gotten together if not for the auction benefitting the local animal shelter. Layla is an accountant with a small circle of friends, and cautious when it comes to romance. Jack is attractive and very disarming. Layla bids on him because he comes with a dog looking for a home, and she’s egged on by her obnoxious mother. Although Layla’s mother is a background irritant who occasionally pops in, and there is heavy foreshadowing that there will be a mother-daughter showdown at some point in the future, the focus in this book is on the romance. Layla and Jack have great chemistry and balance each other out. Their chemistry is reflected in their snappy banter as they flirt and bargain for dates on their terms. I love how these two characters support each other like nobody else has, and the adorable way they fall for each other. Jack ardently pursues Layla without coming across as aggressive or annoying. Likewise, Layla is shy and insecure at times but also has a sharp wit that Jack loves. The relationship evolves very organically as the novel progresses. Oscar the rescue dog and a senior that Layla becomes fond of are great supporting characters and help spur the action along.

THE BACHELOR COWBOY has an unlikely couple but an extraordinary romance. As always, Jessica Clare strikes the perfect balance between tender moments and yowza steamy scenarios. The characters in THE BACHELOR COWBOY are multifaceted and compelling. Once again, the small town of Painted Barrel, Wyoming is like another supporting character. Jessica Clare shows the good and the bad about living in a small town. I love the sweet relationship that happens between Oscar and Layla’s cat Sterling. I look forward to Jessica Clare’s next romance.

I loved this book so much! I will definitely be reading more from Jessica Clare. I adored all of the characters and read this is one sitting. I highly recommend it.

The Bachelor Cowboy by Jessica Clare is an absolute delightful love story. Jack Watson gets guilted into volunteering for a Bachelor Auction by his sister-in-law, but knows it’s for charity and will do his part. Layla Schmidt has also been bamboozled by her girlfriends to attend the auction so that she could bid on a man and jumpstart her dating life. The whole auction was hilarious and had me laughing out loud because it was so cute. It also set up a wonderful cute meet for Jack and Layla and then the fun began.

I liked the fact that the author brought together an insecure young woman who is a little on the nerdy side but has a great sense of humor and wit, with a good-looking cowboy who is looking for something more than a good time. You wouldn’t think they would mesh but they absolutely did. No games were played and they moved at just the right pace for both of them to get use to one another and not scare the other away. The added conflict of her narcissistic mother Janet playing a thorn in their relationship was a game changer for both Jack and Layla. It resolved with some tough love was a defining moment for Layla to confront her mother and stand her ground. I had the best time reading this story because it was loaded with charm, wit, humor and sexiness. Jack is so swoon-worthy and was so honest and up front with Layla. Loved, loved, loved that about this man.

I hope this isn’t the end for The Wyoming Cowboy series because I feel she is just hitting her stride. The Bachelor Cowboy story has small town charm, likable and relatable characters and a big dose of romance for a wonderful happily ever after.

The Bachelor Cowboy was just a cute romance book. Jack and Layla are perfect romantic foils who stumble over misunderstandings to get to happiness. Their dates are adorable, especially when featuring their adopted rescue dog. Plus, the romance had a perfect amount of sizzling moments. My only issue with this book is that the pacing felt a little slow. Jack and Layla meet and make a connection, but the progression of their relationship felt slower than necessary. Yet, even with that issue, this is a cute love story, and I look forward to reading other books in the series.

The Bachelor Cowboy (The Wyoming Cowboy #6) by Jessica Clare has a sweet feel to this story. We have the nerdy gal who is a little insecure and has to contend with a very icky mom. We also have the hunky cowboy who is comfortable in his own skin, but not pigheaded about it.

These two somehow come together through an auction and let the games begin. Things heat up and in the end, no one gets burned.

This was an enjoyable romance with a perfect book boyfriend. I liked Layla as
an underdog heroine, the virgin who doesn't think she's good enough for the hot guy. I also liked the banner between the two and overall enjoyed this novel. It was fairly detailed in the steamy department but it all fit with the story and character development. While this is the sixth book in the series, it was the first one I've read and had no trouble understanding what happened in previous books. This novel made me want to try the rest of the series.

A sweet cowboy romance. Jack is sizzling hot and loves women and isn't shy around them. Layla has self esteem issues and a narcissistic controlling mother, wouldn't have put the two together but it totally works. Definitely a nice beach read but clearly there's no beach these days but you get what I mean.... Enjoy

I thought this romance was really sweet and felt so cozy. I have not read any of the other books in this series, and I think I may have enjoyed this one a little bit more if I had. I would have been more invested in the town as a whole.

All in all, a fun read!

Layla and Jack were a cute couple thrown together by the auction, which was perfect as they had caught each other’s eye in the past and may never have acted on the attraction otherwise. Jack coaxing Layla into dates and more was sweet and downright hot!

Jack Watson was different from his older brothers. Where Hank and Caleb were a bit baffled by the opposite sex, Jack had no problem with women. He loved women and wasn’t shy at all around them. Jack knew his appeal and was confident without being a conceited ass, and I loved him for it!

Layla on the other hand wasn’t as confident, and as most women do, she had some insecurities not realizing just how sexy was. I did like that she was okay with being the smart, nerdy girl. I think she was more unique than nerdy, but this is coming from a nerdy bookworm, so what do I know? Lol! I blamed most of Layla’s insecurities on her mother. Hated the mom! She was a narcissist through and through! Didn’t care about embarrassing Layla or taking advantage of her as long as she came out ahead. I was glad Layla stood up to her and didn’t let her manipulate her.

Loved Oscar the little skittish Weiner dog and Sterling the cat. An adorable animal with personality always hits me right in the heart!

I’ve been loving Jessica Clare’s Wyoming Cowboy series! Hot and sweet, and I’m such a sucker for a sexy cowboy! This is book six in the series, but as all the books in the series it would work as a standalone fine.
