A fast paced edge of your seat read that might keep you awake at night. Really good if you like twisty reads
This one is quite creepy!! I'd recommend it for those who love a psychological suspense book. It's fast-paced and you'll find yourself turning page after page until the book has ended to find out what's happening.
Fast paced easy read with some good twists! Definitely a unique one! I will say the first half was better than the last but worth a read
Thank you netgalley and publisher for opportunity to read and review this arc. This is definitely a quick read and the opening of the book gets you hooked immediately. The story moved well, and quickly, and I enjoyed the plot and storyline. Would definitely read more by this author.

This was a fast paced read
I thought the relationship between the two main characters was done really well.
I found the novel to be intriguing. However, they were times when I was frustrated by decisions made.
As soon as I read the blurb for this book I just knew it was going to be right up my street, and my goodness it did not disappoint!.
Creepy, captivating, suspenseful and full of plot twists, this book had me hooked and on the edge of my seat reading late into the evening, A must read!
Oh, my! I knew from the synopsis that I would like this book, but, it's well beyond good. I'm not sure why I've never read a book with this plot line before, but it's definitely a thriller! RJ Parker has skillfully built the back story until this reader jumped at the noise on the porch!!! I'll never look at the same scenario the same way again.
A really good read, set off by a very creepy opening chapter. I couldn't put it down and was gripped all the way through it. Great characters,

The Good Neighbor is a deliciously suspenseful and fast paced novel that had me on the edge of my seat. The premise is such a great one and Parker really took the story and ran with it. Our protagonist, Leah, has a car accident close to her home on a dark and stormy night so she heads to a nearby house to use the phone to call the police and a tow truck. The next day she wants to go by and say thank you to her neighbor and is shocked when she sees the house swarming with police and finds out that the only person that lives there is dead. And the story quickly takes off once Leah finds out the owner was a woman and the man, Martin, she encountered the night before, was likely her killer.
This graphic story had so many twists and turns and I never could predict what was going to happen next. Not only is this a thriller involving Martin and the murder but it was also a journey of self discovery for Leah. She has been married for eight years to a man she no longer shares a bed with and is dealing with past and present family issues. Parker cleverly layered all these elements together so they were seamlessly integrated into the story. Both elements kept the story catapulting forward and it was a wild ride.
I highly recommend this book for the nail bitting tension and quick pacing. This is one of those books where you constantly tell yourself โjust one more chapterโ and before you know it, the story is over.

After previously reading THE DINNER PARTY by Parker and enjoying the short snappy chapters, I was intrigued by this. This book was very hard to review without giving away any spoilers - the whole book is a huge game of cat and mouse. This was certainly very fast paced and I flew through this in a day- it was creepy and atmospheric and the events gave me chills. Iโm torn because despite this, I feel like the concept started really well but unfortunately fell flat throughout for me - I have very similar thoughts to when I read Parkerโs THE DINNER PARTY and found it just a very unrealistic plot. Hear me out - I know itโs fiction, but it just got too unbelievable for me and I was constantly rolling my eyes at Leahโs actions. I have so many questions about her decisions!?
Overall this was a very fast paced, action filled read which I would still recommend picking up- I toyed between two and three stars but although it wasnโt my favourite book in the world, the fact I definitely could not put it down told me I still enjoyed it! Fun fact - (wouldnโt even consider this a spoiler as it happens in the first few pages) I hit a deer in my Ford KA at 65mph several years ago.. just round the corner from a speed camera.. the similarities as I started this book made me feel strange!
