All young children love and are facinated by Dinosaurs. This is a great coloring book for your child to be introduced to the different types of dinos and info on them. The pictures are large enough for little hands to color. I personally like to color with my Granddaughter so the the duplicates do not bother me. Then in the end we both hang them on the frig. It also allows her to express her own colors and imagination.

This coloring book includes an introduction to dinosaurs and includes 25 different dinosaurs to color. The initial dinosaur page has the name, a pronunciation guide, and a coloring picture. Next to that is a fun fact about the dinosaur and then there is a full coloring page for the dinosaur as well. I appreciate the amount of dinosaurs and coloring pages, although the coloring picture under the dinosaur name is just a snapshot version of the full-size coloring page, either just taken out of the scenery and dropped onto the name page, or taken out and then mirrored onto it. I feel like this book could have been even cooler if there were actually two pictures of each dinosaur to color, rather than the same picture twice.
I think this would make a fun gift for kids who are into dinosaurs!

This is a cute little informative book on dinosaurs, which would be perfect for any child going through their inevitable "dinosaur" phase.

I really appreciated how there were pronunciation guides for each of the names, to help any child reading about them to know how to say their names. This way they can share all the cool information they learn from this coloring book.

As with the bird and bug coloring books, my biggest complain is the recycling of the images, where I feel more variety would have been nicer to color. However, I think this would be a fun coloring book for any child, and despite my inherent belief that ALL kids like dinosaurs - this would be a good way to nurture an interest even if you happen to have one who doesn't.

Thank you to the author, Netgalley, and Zeitgeist for providing this copy for free in exchange for an honest review.

Little kids who love dinosaurs and art will love grammar school teacher and author, Katie Henries-Meisner, and Illustrator Andre Sibayan’s, “Dinosaur Book for Kids: Coloring Fun and Awesome Facts About Prehistoric Animals that
Ruled the World!,” that provides multiple examples of prehistoric animals with bold-outline drawings for their imaginations to enhance with brightly hued pigments of their choosing.

Coloring while learning about dinosaurs that have been extinct for millions of years is a terrific approach for all young scientists and future paleontologists. This hand-on workbook provides pronunciations of all dinosaurs shown, along with child-friendly facts to help young readers comprehend the text and remember the lessons while having fun.

JoyReaderGirl1 graciously thanks NetGalley, Author Katie Henries-Meisner, Illustrator Andre Sibayan, and Publisher Z Kids, an imprint of ZeitgeistTM, a division of Penguin Random House LLC for this advanced reader’s copy (ARC) for review.

Great and informative coloring pages. My grandkids loved it and I'm sure my patrons will too. It is an excellent addition to collections that always need more dinosaur books as well as a reference for lirarians to help older kids and parents

I received a copy of this book through Netgalley. This is my honest review.

Since I got my copy of this book through Netgalley, I do not get to enjoy coloring the pictures (at least not without buying a physical copy of the book). That makes me a little bit sad because it would be relaxing to color in this book. The pictures are big with just enough details to make them interesting so coloring them wouldn't require the amount of thought that adult coloring books do for me. They are definitely a great size for younger children to color.

But the reason why getting this book on Netgalley wasn't completely ridiculous is that it also includes facts about the dinosaurs you're coloring. The facts are fairly short tidbits about the dinos that includes pronunciation guides. So your kiddos can learn a bit about their favorite extinct animals without boring them with too much information.

Overall I give this book 4.86 out of 5 stars and really wish I'd have a physical copy so I could be coloring it right now.

This book was amazing. It has the pronunciations of the dinosaurs. It tells you about each kind of dinosaur and has a picture to color. It included dinosaurs I’d never heard of. Every dinosaur lover should have this book. Thank you for the arc.

I see this book not just as an entertaining pastime for younger children, but also as a useful addition to homeschooling activities, or for any kind of educational purposes, where dinosaurs are involved. Most kids love dinosaurs anyway, most children are fascinated by dinosaurs, and this book has nice coloring pages, and some basic information about dinosaurs, it even tells how each dinosaur's name is pronounced. I would have preferred to have additional information regarding the timeline of when the dinosaur was roaming the earth, but that is something that can be easily added by a parent or a teacher.

Thank you NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book to review, it was an incredibly fun experience.

I like that this book really stayed within the parameters of its target audience, young children. The language and wording was child appropriate, I've sometimes found that dinosaur and other science based children's books can drift into being a bit technical. There was a large variety of dinosaurs, it went beyond the classic popular five or six that are usually focused on. The colouring really provided an opportunity to engage in the information and the white background on the text page enabled the information to speak for itself. The pronunciation guide and label of herbivore or carnivore was incredibly handy and will be such a relief for relatively clueless parents of dino-crazed little ones. The fact that it was set out alphabetically was an additional educational benefit of the book and allowed us to even predict what was coming next.

There were a number of grammatical errors and a few factual ones that some keen eyed little paleontologists will likely pick up on. It also would have been nice if there were some variety between the initial image of the dinosaur (with its name and pronunciation) and the full page image of the dinosaur in its habitat, they seemed a bit repetitive. But overall, the positives greatly outweigh the negatives.

I felt the content, lettering/font and illustrations match with the targeted age range. Simplistic in style and detail, it's not overly wordy and lengthy that can lose the interest of a child. I enjoyed the descriptions, the pronunciations and the identification of the type of 'eater' each dinosaur was. I cannot comment on the accuracy of the information, but overall I think it's an engaging activity book.

My daughter loves dinos and enjoyed learning the fun facts that went with each picture. I liked how they were in alphabetical order and really appreciated the pronunciation guide so I knew I was saying the names correctly. This book would be perfect for kiddos who watch shows like Camp Cretaceous or Lego Jurassic Park.

I have to admit that I was slightly disappointed with this book. My children are thoroughly enamored with dinosaurs, so finding something like this for them was a joy. Unfortunately, there isn't a very large variety of dinosaurs and some of the information is inaccurate. [IE: a velociraptor was much larger than a chicken, more along the size of a large turkey. I feel like the dino described was more along the lines of a feathered Compi.] The pictures do not have much variety either, mostly just being a mirrored and pasted versions of one another.

Overall opinion, this is a solid middle of the road option for those who want a quick gift for their dino lover, but don't expect them to be overly impressed.

A nice dinosaur book that combines coloring pages with facts about the dinosaur pictured.

My 4 year old loves dinosaurs, both hearing all about them and coloring them so this books I great for him.

Because of all the interesting facts it is also suited for older dinosaur fans, not just kindergarten aged kids.

As is, there are quite a few grammatical errors. I like the illustrations included in this coloring book, interesting to see and fun to color-in. I do, however, wish each entry provided a few more facts and insights on each individual dinosaur. I’ve loved dinosaurs all my life and now I’m eager to share that love with my niece, this book is a good way to start.

Thank you NetGalley for granting me the opportunity to explore this book.

A fun dinosaur book with lots of facts and interesting tid bits for kids along with realistic looking pages to color. This would make a fun activity for parents with kids to talk about each type of dinosaur.

I wish we had more children’s dinosaur books when I was younger. I would have loved them.

I like that this book had large wording, especially since it’s meant for small children. I did notice a lot of grammar errors, though. But other than that, it was super interesting. I love learning about dinosaurs, hence why I picked it up. Cant color an ebook though.

Thank you to the publisher and NetGalley for this ARC in exchange for an honest review!

Dinosaur Book for Kids by Katie Henries-Meisner is an amazing activity book for children who can't get enough of prehistoric creatures. Alongside educational texts written at an appropriate level, the book includes many pages of coloring activities. According to the description, "Children will have fun coloring the dinosaurs, learning about them, and becoming dinosaur experts."

Overall, Dinosaur Book for Kids is the perfect gift for the future archeologist or dinosaur-lover in your life. One highlight of this book is the amount of detail and research that went into this book. Another highlight of this book is how much thought and time went into creating each of the coloring activities. This book is well-thought-out and will definitely satisfy a child wanting to learn more about dinosaurs. If you're intrigued by the description, I highly recommend this book, which is available now!

Pros: One of my friend's children recently had a dinosaur birthday party, and I wish I had had this book to bring her as a gift or to be used as a party activity. I love that there are fun facts included so children (maybe with the help of an older reader) can learn more about the dinosaurs they are coloring. My favorite thing about this book is that it teaches readers how to pronounce the dinosaurs' names!

Cons: None that I can think of.

Thank you to NetGalley and Zeitgeist, Z Kids for the opportunity to read this book!
