Kashton Colello is a man who lost his parent when he was a young boy and he had to go and live with the Francis family to avoid going into the system When he grew up he now works as a security consultant for the Francis family and he even lives in a villa on the family estate.
Bailey Hayes is a girl who one night encounter kidnappers breaking into her home. It's when she finds out that Peter Francis the Tech Genius and billionaire is her father. He is also a man who has a wife and three other children of his own and has never admitted to anyone that he has a daughter outside of his marriage. However Bailey is moved to the family super secure estate but she is certainly not introduced as Peter's child. Instead the family is told that she is an old friend of Kashton's and she stays with him in his villa. As you can imagine it isn't long before the sparks are flying between these two. They are of course The Outsiders and this is their story.
I loved every single second of it and couldn't put it down. I can not wait to have the next book in my hands!!!

Tijan is one of my favorite authors because she can write just about anything. From sports romance to mafia, you can always count on an intelligently written fast paced read with tons of angst and all the feels.

The Insiders is no different, giving us a character driven romance with lots of engaging plot. This series is shaping up to be a Tijan favorite and I can’t wait for more to come!

This book captivated me from the very beginning. To me it had the feel of Tijan’s mafia books and Kian. I usually don’t like a single POV but it really added to the story learning everything from Bailey’s eyes as she experienced it.
I loved Bailey. She is whip smart and is strong willed. She might have been thrust into a new world of the rich and connected but she faired really well considering who she had to go up against.
Kash oh man made me swoon with his alpha asshole attitude. He was always there to protect Bailey even when she didn’t know she needed it. And when he finally gave into the chemistry between them he was the ally she needed in the new world she was thrust into. So much of the book I just kept waiting to learn more about Kash. He was such a mystery but yet always there for Bailey.
I was seriously hooked on this book and am dying for the next one to come out.

More thriller than romance, but there's definitely some romance added into the mix. This young woman's world is turned upside down when is the victim of a kidnapping attempt. She will find her identity has been disguised her whole life and now she will learn the truth. Changes, changes and more changes will keep the tension and the romance moving in spurts as she begins her new life.

The Insiders is the first book in The Insiders Trilogy. This book is told from Bailey's point of view.

After something happens Bailey finds out secrets about who her father really is. Bailey must go stay where her father lives, but can't let anyone except for Kashton know how she is related to them.

Bailey takes this hard. Between being threatened and keeping a secret that keeps getting threatened to be exposed by other people.

Kash drives Bailey crazy, but at the same time, they start to have feelings for each other. I enjoyed this book, and am excited to continue on in the series and learn more about these characters.

This book was a good read. Good characters. Good slow romance. Good humor. Some unexpected twists. It's odd that Bailey's mom came and just stayed and what, being part of the family. The revealed at the end was good. There's definitely a cliffhanger there so I'll start reading book 2 soon!

This story follows Bailey. She's 22 and a hacker. She just found out a secret her mom kept from her. Although she was almost abducted in order for this secret to be revealed. Now she's among (most of) the people that don't know who she is and she has to pretend she isn't someone important to them. She was instantly accused of being a fraud so she did the one thing she's good at. She hacks into their computers and took their private info. That definitely got her some attention..

Thank you St Martin's Griffin and NetGalley for the opportunity to read and review!

Having read and enjoyed some of Tijan's work in the past, I was beyond excited to read "The Insiders." There was something so outlandishly soapy about the story that was addictive and kept me captivated from beginning to end. It truly is one of those things that grows on you the more you read and invest in the overall outcome. While I was entertained throughout the book, I do have to say that I didn't find it as investing as some of her other books (especially "Teardrop Shot"). I think the lack of wow factor had to do with the fact that the book felt mainly carried out by Bailey and Kash's relationship. Nonetheless, I think this was a good start to the trilogy and look forward to picking up the other books soon.

4 STARS!

I've heard a lot about this trilogy, so I was excited to finally dive in. I'm new to reading Tijan's work. I enjoyed her writing style. I liked this one well enough, but I think I ruined it by listening and not reading. I am going to read the next two just to be safe because I want to love them.

Bailey had no clue that the billionaire tech genius, Peter Francis, is her father until after there was an attempt to abduct her. Now she has siblings she didn't know existed and is being protected by the men her father employs at his estate.

Kash takes a special interest in protecting Bailey. And quite the protector he is. As these two are spending day after day together their attraction to each other eventually grows. It was a bit of a slow burn and wasn't overly steamy once they got together.

Although, Emma Galvin did a fine job narrating for 11 hours and 5 minutes, I do feel like I would have preferred to read this one.

There's a bit of a cliffhanger, so be aware of that. I wasn't overly in love with this one, but I look forward to see where the rest of the series goes. As I write this the average rating is 4.21 stars so obviously it's very well liked by many.

I've been wanting to/meaning to read this book for awhile. With the third book in the trilogy publishing soon, I thought it was a good time to start.
You ever start a book and read a few chapters and know that this book is just right for you? This was that book for me. I knew right away that this would be an easy read that I would devour.
I liked Bailey. She was funny-outwardly and her inner voice, but not over the top. She had a traumatic experience happen to her and is thrown into an unknown world filled with guards, wealth, secrets and a family she doesn't know.
One of the biggest secrets is Kashton Colello and his connection to her new found father. He is sexy, powerful and very secretive.
I really enjoyed this romantic suspense and am definitely looking forward to the second book.

Wow what craziness is this? So much to filter through. This was an amazing rollercoaster. From the beginning the stor was suspenseful and entertaining. I liked Baileys character a lot and hope she entered her new chapter on a fun note. Nope not the case she got sucked into some craziness that didn’t stop, all the way to the end. Surprize after surprise came out of every chapter. I didn’t think it could get any crazier, then the last chapter happens and ….. I can’t wait for more to see what happens next.

This book brought me back to The things I love about Tijan books...
Things that I've been missing in her last releases.
Great characters, lots of characters with their own depths and back stories, family drama all over the place...
But there's a bunch of repetitive stuff that could definitely be cleaned here.

I liked Bailey and I liked most of the characters. I still don't have a good grip on my feelings toward Kash though.
He's an enigma to me, and to be honest here, the chemistry and development of his relationship with Bailey is lacking in basically everything.
Everything is just too shallow and just skimmed between them... Skimmed steam, skimmed in conversations, skimmed in depth. I would say that they fell in lust with each other, but the lack of details on their sexual encounters don't help with this theory either.

But I did liked the plot... A lot! The story of Bailey and her family is what kept me interested in the story.
It's a trilogy, so I hope to see more romance now that a few pieces had already fallen in place.

The narration was incredible, but I wish the book was told in dual pov, so I could at least connect a little with Kash.

The Insiders is a wild ride, and it's only the first book in a trilogy. *insert screaming face emoji* Bailey is a 22 year old hacker extraordinaire with a photographic memory. And she has no idea why she's being kidnapped. After she barely escapes, her life is completely upended. Turns out her real dad is a tech genius, she has three half siblings, and now she's locked away at her father's estate for her protection. But her stepmother isn't pleased. At all.

And then there's Kash--her protector, her guard, the guy she is falling head over heels for.

This is my first book I've picked up by Tijan, but it definitely isn't going to be my last. It's romantic suspense with a side of mafia and organized crime. It's passion and drama and family and revenge and terror and despite it all, hope, too.

If you haven't read The Insiders. definitely consider picking up a copy. You won't want to put it down. I read it in less than 24 hours.

A huge thank you to SMP Romance for sending me a complimentary e-book copy for review.

Shit this book was an absolute mind-blowing read for sure!

From the very beginning I was intrigued and hooked.

Bailey and Kash were on Fire. Tijan knows how to write a couple and these two were AMAZING and Smoking hot together.
I cannot for one moment tell anyone how freaking good this book was because it was off the charts crazy good!

It soooo ends with a cliffhanger but I'm super eager for the next book.

Huge thanks to St. Martins for sending me a Netgalley widget!

I didn’t know what to expect from this one because the synopsis was vague, but I thought it sounded great. I like a little mystery lol.

I felt it was a little slow at the beginning, but it quickly picked up. This is the first in a series so it had to build the world.

Bailey’s world was turned upside down when she realizes her father is a famous business owner.

She is kidnapped and everything spirals from there.
Once the story picks up I couldn’t put it down. I needed to know what Bailey was going to do. What is Kash’s deal? Will she join her new family?

I can’t wait to read the second one.
