I was so freaking excited for this book. I've been obsessed with Tijan books since the Fallen Crest Days and OMG, the Insiders completely blew things out of the water. The thriller aspect in this story along with the romance between Bailey and Kash was so gripping, I was on the edge of my seat, frantically turning the pages right from the beginning. Absolutely un-put-downable and definitely one of those books that requires a reread because there is just so much to take in!

I was sent the full trilogy to read and I was not expecting how much I was going to love this book. From page one you are sucked into Bailey's world. The story is intense, the characters are really fleshed out well - they feel complex and real. Loved reading about an intelligent female lead - the whole dynamic between the two main characters is just chef's kiss. Book one does end in one heck of a cliffhanger, but thankfully I have book two ready to go.

If you are a fan of books with family secrets, steamy chemistry, and forbidden romance - check this one out.

The Insiders by Tijan starts off fast with an attempted kidnapping of Bailey, the main character. She soon finds out secrets about her family and is forced to decide to go into hiding with her mother, or go live a new life with her father. Mystery and intrigue ensues from there. The story started off strong, but got a bit slow and a teeny bit repetitive until the twist at the end. While this is marketed as a romance, I would say there is a small amount of steam/spice as well as insta-love, but this is more tension and suspense than romance. Hoping for more from the rest of the series and that it is a bit more fast paced than most of this book.
Overall I would give this 3.5 stars. Thank you to Netgalley and St. Martin’s for the opportunity to read this in exchange for my honest opinion.

I really enjoyed The Insiders and thought the book was well written and characters relatable. Bailey has a genius mind growing up with a single mother. She loves programming and cyber security. She's pro at hacking and covering her tracks. After an attempted abduction, she's whisked away into protection by her father, Peter Francis, who's a tech mogul and billionaire. Kash is part of the security team for the family and brought Bailey in with a cover story for her protection. I love their dynamic, she's spunky and witty and he's grumpy and brooding. As Bailey gets to know her family, she and Kash finally give into their desires. I really like Bailey as a character, she has a full range of emotions and it's hard not for feel for her and what she's going though. A story with family secrets and her life still in danger, can Bailey also survive the lifestyle of the rich?

Unfortunately, this series just isn’t for me. I’m sure many people will love this, but it’s not something I’m enjoying.

WoW! I had no idea what to expect when I picked up this book, but it was a rollercoaster of a ride. I enjoyed all the chaos, secrets, and the slow burn romance. I'm the ending left me with questions, but I can't wait to see how the story continues.

I always enjoy Tijan’s book. She is one of my all time favorite author. Which was why I had to read this book. It took awhile for me to read this one because I heard it was part of a trilogy. Also I’m not a fan of cliffhangers so I waited. Which I know was not great.

Bailey was a graduate student who suddenly was thrust in a crazy rich environment for her protection. Kidnappers almost got away from taking her. Her mom neglected to reveal her biological dad was the Peter Francis. Tech genius that she admired since she was a child. She was like him in that respect, and was able to do all the computer hacking look so easy. The mysterious Kash was in charge of her to make sure she stayed safe until they catch the bad guys. Someone wanted to get at Peter and to do that was to get at his kids. Bailey stayed with Kash and her half siblings for awhile. Of course, there were many secrets they had that was slow to unravel.

What I loved about the book: Bailey and her resilience to all the hard crap thrown her way. She was honest, smart, strong and caring. She didn’t deserve a horrible dad or stepmom. Her step mom was completely evil. And to make anyone feel unwanted was horrible. Matt, her sibling, was okay but selfish and very spoiled. Her younger siblings were great. She and Kash together was hot, and the chemistry was through the roof.

What I didn’t like: the story itself was a little bit of a letdown for me. It was good but something was missing from it. There were too many questions I had that were not answered but hopefully they will in the next book. The ending was good but the cliffhanger ending was not my cup of tea. Overall, it was a good start of the series and I am looking forward to reading the next one.

I received this ARC from the publisher and Netgalley for my honest review and opinion.

Tijan is back better than ever query a brand new book, the first in a new trilogy and y'all I was here for all the angst and for all new characters in a whole new world. And a little word? Tijan did not disappoint for a single moment in this beauty... just wow!

All the angst, heat, drama, suspense, and all of those pesky feels! Seriously just wait until Kash and Bailey blast into your life and wreck you in the best possible ways.

The Insiders was everything I needed it to be to satisfy this addiction I have with Tijan and her words.

Fans of this author, you are in for a huge, huge coming home feeling with this new release, The Insiders and I promise by the end, the wait for thy next will seem totally worth it.

I need the next book in this new captivating series like yesterday still y'all!

I highly recommend this book.

I love Tijans books and this is no exception. I was instantly drawn to the characters and fell in love with Kash right away. I didn't want this book to end and found myself non stop reading.

One of the best Tijan books I have ever read. Full of twists and turns and amazing writing as always. I recommend it.

I've always wanted to read a book by Tijan and I can't really pinpoint what prevented me to do so.
So this time I finally took the chance and dove in, because this intriguing and promising blurb simply caught me right away.

And from what I heard, that Tijan has the gift to keep her readers in the right place and throws us/them into breathtaking adventures, I now can happily confirm, that all this is true.
Crazy twists and turn of events kept my mind spinning. The secrets and hidden truths are absolutely thrilling and captivating.

The characters?
Kash is the perfect mysterious bad boy you can’t help but fall for.
Bailey is a quirky and smart heroine, I can't help but to adore.
Secondary characters who add an extra layer to the storyline.

The only thing I wished for was if it had been made more clearly that this is going to be a trilogy. So, the cliffhanger at the end took me a little by surprise.

Otherwise I have to say that this was a very enjoyable read and not a bad start to dive into Tijan's world of words. If you are looking for a new adult romance with alpha heroes, an intense plot with secrets and lies, this is definitely a book you should read!

Alpha heroes and strong heroines YES PLEASE! This is book 1 in a trilogy and I can’t wait for the 2nd one.

Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the eGalley. All opinions are my own.

From the first page I was hooked! Devoured this book in one sitting! (responsibilities what?! 😆)

In one night, Bailey’s life as she knows it is forever changed. Thrown in a world far different from what she grew up in, around people she doesn’t know she should trust.
Secrets, so many secrets coming left and right, what’s a girl to do?

This book got me on the edge on my seat. And I want more!

Plot Summary :
Bailey has an ordinary life. That is until a secret that her mum kept from her comes to Life and nothing is the same ever again. She has just found out that she has a father and that too someone very popular. Someone who threatens her very existence since because of that man, she was almost kidnapped. And now she has to leave her home and live with him.

Things would have been slightly better if the man escorting her to her father had not been such an ass. Kash was not amused when he had to babysit her and handle her. And his displeasure showed. If only the man didn't look like a walking dream.

With so many secrets popping up from everywhere, it doesn't take Bailey long to realize that her paternal family is something else. Her half brothers and sisters are just as broken and just as fun and something tells her that she will never fit in here. Not that a certain people will let her. Being associated with a powerful man has gained her enemies and there is nothing Kash won't do to save her even though she still gets on his nerves.

Overall Opinion :
Alright, so here's the thing, there was a time when I was crazy about this author. When her books were so good for me. However lately, I have been having a hard time connecting to them. This has been happening since the last two three books and therefore I won't be reading more of her books from now on.

The Insiders kept me hooked because of the suspenseful storyline and the chemistry between Kash and Bailey. The characters were good and I even had a few laughter moments because the book was super funny at some parts! The ending was good too but like I said above, this one was a one time contemporary read for me.

I would definitely recommend this book to all the Tijan Fans but for the others , I'd leave the decision to you.

Ehhh....this was so-so for me. I get that we have to suspend our disbelief in order to enjoy fiction, and that's not a problem for me. So setting aside some of the outlandish storylines, I did like the main characters Bailey - she's interesting and smart - and Cash (though he seemed a bit two-dimensional at times). However, a lot of the book just...didn't make sense. The entire "mystery" about Cash, the whole media circus, the weird kidnapping stuff, it just seems silly. A lot of build up about nonsense. I dunno. I'm gonna give the next book in the series a go to see if some of it starts to come together.

I was excited when I first heard about this trilogy and as a big fan of Tijan I couldn't wait to read. I had a hard time connecting to the story. I felt it very slow going after the initial fast paced start and it was hard to stay focused on the story line. I will say the ending does have me curious about the next book and I hope the action picks up in that story.
