You can imagine that the whole book will be crazy, combined with an intensity that will make your hair stand on end, from the very first pages. It has become this book just like a Netflix series that you start one afternoon and finish in a few hours. Completely devourable.

The Insiders tells the story of a smart girl, full of difficulties in her life, who finally gets her dream life when one moment her life's in danger and the next she is meeting her inspiration. She now has a new identity and has to live under the protection of a technology tycoon and in the care of a handsome young man who can melt you with just one look. While the tycoon's children hover around her.

Bailey has to learn who she can trust and keep Kash from breaking down her barriers to sneak into her being. A 007 style story, with a touch of sauciness, a mystery to solve, a thousand looks to hide from, and the adventure of a lifetime. Bailey must protect herself and her heart.

Every moment is an adrenaline rush that thrills you to such a degree that you can't stop. This is a Tijan trilogy worth knowing. The atmosphere is so dark that every moment the flame sparks to life, it sets the whole place on fire.

This book had me hooked from the very start. There was mystery, intrigue, and a lot of drama. I liked Bailey, she had a fun and quirky personality. Kash is mysterious and very protective of Bailey. I feel like their romance was kind of forced and underdeveloped. Other than their physical relationship, I felt they were lacking that emotional connection to their romance. I really liked the bond that Bailey was able to form with her siblings. All of the characters were well written and the story line was interesting. I really enjoyed this story and can't wait to continue the trilogy.

Warning: This book promotes obsessive reading which results in maximum enjoyment!!

Sucked in from the very first page I didn't want to put this book down, unfortunately forced to a couple of times, which did not make me satisfied at the time although I finished it in a day therefore I am appeased. Characters that leap from the page, considerably eventful plotlines and a way of expressing emotion that is incredibly insightful, Tijan knocked it out of the park, yet again!!

A forward leap into a remarkable new world for Tijan, we've got Bailey and she's a heroine I admire tremendously. Thrown into a world she knows nothing about with nothing to tether herself to she starts out on a rocky road which eventually becomes smoother but not entirely because everywhere we turn there's something new to learn. Phenomenally intelligent she thinks she's a match for this world however she has no experience with the type of world in which these people inhabit therefore she finds herself confronted with things her intellect is unable to control when encountering her family and Kash's world.

Kash is a enigmatic character that we know little to nothing about except he demands attention everywhere he goes. Intrigued by Bailey on a very primal level, he needs to understand her furthermore he's challenged by her while being her guide through their world. Adoration is definitely a feeling they both induce in me without a second thought, his protective instincts are incredibly honed.

Side characters that I truly hope get explored in the future, the family is a whole ensemble of colorful people that deserve their own exploration!!

Kash and Bailey belong in my harem and they are making a nice comfortable villa for themselves!!

Oh WOW Tijan brought out the big guns with this one!

Once I started I did not want to put it down! who needs sleep anyway?? Not only was the storyline flowing perfectly but the emotions that were poured into this one seeped out of the pages. I felt everything!

From the very first chapter it knocks you on your a**e and makes you super protective of Bailey. Honestly this girl has had her world tipped upside down and has no-one on her side. Honestly I just wanted to hug her and shout at everyone.

With Kash i alternated went from wanting to junk punch him from the first half of the book, to swooning in the second half. As more secrets are revealed you get to see a bit behind him, the elusive brooding sex-on-a-stick, and you see there was more to his actions. He just needs to drop those sky high, fortified walls.

The characters were all brilliantly written and brought this world to life. As this is only book 1 in this trilogy I'm 100% invested and super excited for the rest of them.

Whilst we got some answers for the main questions that ran through this instalment, the way this one left off gave us a few hints at what is to come and its going to be so good!

A confession. I grabbed these books as soon as I saw Tijan's name. And I fell so deeply into the world she built. And Bailey didn't belong. She was so much part of this world, and at the same time, diametrically different. And while she was drowning in unfamiliar waters, the unexpected current that kept her head above water was Kash. (For die-hard Tijan fans, he's got the same draw as Mason Kade).

An unexpected surprise to this story is how you are kept guessing with each turn. What are people's motives? What next secret needs to be uncovered? The layers to the characters and the plot are page-turners, keeping you glued to your kindle. But the best surprise of all is Bailey. Her character, strength, and sheer intelligence are the central pieces to who she is and why this story sucks you in so quickly.

After reading The Insiders, three things have become very clear to me.

I will read whatever Tijan writes, because I know I will want to read it again and again.
It's been over 24 hours since I finished the book and I'm still trying to puzzles pieces of it out.
I'm going to be in agony until I can get my hands on the next installment of this story.

You need to get your hands on this book.

Really, it's a no-brainer.

This was a fantastic book that kept you guessing about what was going to happen. I have read al of Tijan’s books and this was so different then any of them. The characters were well written and the storyline was fantastic. I need book 2 yesterday, and the wait will be so long!

I loved Kash and Bailey’s story! I did not want to put this book down once I started. There are so many twists and turns and I did not know where it was going to go. Kash and Bailey are such great characters. Bailey was really entertaining and very smart while Kash is a strong and powerful character. They are so great together! I look forward to finding out where this trilogy is going to go and I can’t wait for the next book!

What an epic start to this trilogy! I’m a goner for Tijan’s unique brand of drama and intrigue, her delicious angst, and her quirky characters- and the Insiders has it all! Add in a jaw dropping beginning, a unique plot concept, and heaps of danger- both physical and the even greater danger- emotional, and I am here for it! Magnetic chemistry and lots of mystery made for such a consuming read. I need more!

I received a copy of this book from NetGalley

I have been enjoying Tijan’s books lately and when I saw this one I jumped at the chance to read it. It is the first in a Trilogy. The suspense was so high in this one and don’t even get me started on the tension between Kash and Bailey. Really I was on the edge reading this turning pages as fast as my eyes and brain would let me.
Bailey Hayes was raised by a single mom. She grew up idolizing Tech Genius Peter Francis. Everything was going smooth for her and her mom until someone tried to kidnap her in the middle of the night and her world was turned upside down and inside out. Kashton Colello is assigned to guard her by her father the one the only Peter Francis. Bailey was now embedded in this new life away from her mother to protect her. Now living in Kash’s quarters on her dad’s estate she is getting to spend time with her half brothers and sister. Bailey is a super smart with a photographic memory and now she is trying to figure everything out. Her life is like a puzzle that someone picked up put back in the box, shook it up and dumped the piece back out. Now Bailey is trying to put her puzzle of life back together. She is trying to figure out how she fits into this family but it is hard when her dad will not communicate with her and Kash will not give her any information. Her brother is nice one minute then using her the next.
Kash is full of secrets and keeps them locked up like Fort Knox. No one gets in and nothing gets out. He is there to protect the family and now Bailey. He caught Bailey’s eye from the first time she saw him. She could tell there was something about him the power just rolled off him and she liked it. Kash is a key player in this Family and I’m just waiting to hear the rest of this story. I have a feeling Kash does more for this family than they know or ever will know.
I still have so many questions about Kash and other things. I do enjoy the chemistry that Kash and Bailey have. This was a great romantic thriller so many things that still need to be uncovered and puzzle pieces to add to this complex family and hidden secrets. This book had a unique plot that I am enjoying so far and I’m waiting to see how this plot thickens. There are so many players in this story that I have no idea how it will go or who the evil doers will end up being.

A few of my favorites:

But there was one thing none of them knew, either. Not fully. Not Really. Not yet.
Me.

“No offense,” Kash snapped, “but her placement isn’t up to you, Peter, or anyone else. It’s up to me, me alone. And I say she stays here.”

I received an ARC from Netgalley for an honest review. Thank you!

Tijan is one of my favorite authors and I love her books. The insiders is a little different from her others books but I liked it. The Insiders is the first book of the trilogy Insiders by Tijan.

The Insiders is the story of Bailey, a genius girl who idolized her father Peter without knowing that's is her father, she found out that's her father after someone tried to kidnap her and the mysterious Kashton Colello saved her. After that night Bailey's life changed completely, she had to leave her old life behind and move with Kashton. She found out that she has three siblings but she can't say to them who she is but she had the opportunity to meet them and to form beautiful bonds with them. She loves that she has three siblings and she wants to love them and to protect them and to part of this new family. She also wants a normal relationship with her father and to love her.

She lives with Kaston but for her, he is a mystery, she feels safe with him and she knows that he will protect her but she doesn't know if she can't trust him. Her relationship with him is complicated because he is her bodyguard but she is attracted to him and she can't stay away from him and began a relationship with him. You can feel the sizzling attraction between them.

I liked the relationship between Bailey and her father Peter and how he found the courage to apologize to her and to try to have a normal relationship. I loved the relationship between Kashton and Bailey. I love the formed relationship between Bailey and her siblings. The Insiders by Tijan have everything, mystery, twists, action, and romance. I can't wait to read the second book from this trilogy.

This is an intense story filled with mystery, secrets, and some romance. It will keep you turning pages from the beginning right up to the end. This book has so many different characters, each with their own unique traits and quirks. This book is one you will not want to put down.

There was something about the blurb for The Insiders that made me actually pre-order a book from an author I’ve never read before – definitely a first for me as there’s only a handful of writers I do actually pre-order but now I think I’ve found another author to binge read. Once I started reading this book I was pretty much hooked from the first page but I think this was more down to the authors creative style of writing and building up the story which drew me in, so much so I lost track of time as I read, rather than the plot itself. I was slightly disappointed by the plot which on the surface promised to be a suspense-filled mystery thriller but didn’t quite live up to its potential for me – I figured out who the “villain” of the piece was quite early on but it was still enjoyable seeing it all come together on the page. I have a feeling though that this book was mainly to introduce Bailey in a dramatic fashion and set the stage for what’s to comes in the remaining two books in the trilogy. The hero in the form of Kashton Colello, a brooding man of mystery, giving off a slight dominant vibe earned bonus points from me but the heroine Bailey was a bit all over the place. One minute filled with anger at finding out everything she believed about her father was a lie but then backing down from any confrontation. And when it came to her relationship with Matt, who incidentally I couldn’t help but feel a bit sorry for – he was more of a cuckoo in the nest than Bailey was - well she was a bit of a doormat. How many times do you intend to let people walk all over you? Find your backbone woman! I think you’re going to need one for what’s ahead. I can’t wait to see what happens next in this series.

3.5/ 5 stars

The Insiders is the first book in a new romance/romantic suspense trilogy.

The narrator is Bailey (22 years old- 1st person POV). She is a computer genius/hacker with a photographic memory. Something violent/traumatic happens to her ... and she is brought into a completely different world of wealth.

This was a quick interesting read. The book starts with an explosive beginning. And I was hooked right from the start.

Romance is a key part of the story. And I have mixed feelings about this. I really don't love alpha male characters. And the main male character Kash is one. Also this book is super sexy (a bit too sexy for me).

I loved everything to do with the hacker aspect of the story. And I really liked the premise of who Bailey was. I loved all of the suspense aspects. And there were times when I had no idea where the story was headed.

The cover confused me a bit. Because for most of the book I could not figure out who the blonde woman could be. And for some reason the dark-haired girl looks 18ish to me and I thought this was going to be YA.

The last part of the book was really good. And there is a cliffhanger ending. If you like alpha males and super sexy scenes then this book will be right up your alley.

Where is the sequel???

Tijan is one of my favorites in romance and reading her books is like coming home. I know what kind of book I'll get and that she will answer some need, scratch reader's itches I have at that moment.

The Insiders has all the favorite elements:

- a female character that needs protection: Bailey. But Bailey is no some fragile flower or helpless maiden! No, I loved that Bailey was a badass hacker! That makes her far from a ninny even if we have that "need to be protected" element that I crave in Tijan's books.

-a hot and protective Alpha hero: Kash. Kash is THE guy everyone will obey even billionaires and security agents! They will run to do is command with a "Sir, yes Sir". Of course he is hot, commanding, mysterious and protective of Bailey. He remains very mysterious for so long and that's what made him even more intriguing!

-sizzling attraction When Bailey and Kash are together I swear you can smell all the pheromones dripping from the pages! :-D I always love that in Tijan's books: that craving both MC have for each other. That unstoppable attraction they can't deny. And all that makes the guy so protective he does everything but beat his chest and pee around the female character's legs to stake his claim. Did I mentioned that I LOVE alpha protective heroes??? LOL

-strained and complicated relationship with parents. Even if Bailey is an adult, her relationship with her father is...totally new and strained! That's to put it mildly! She just discovered, after a kidnapping attempt, that her father is not some dead military hero but a very alive tech genius!

Her newfound family is complicated but she so wants to love and be loved by her siblings!

There is also a villain lurking in a dark corner or even, several villains to uncover and put into jail.

I read that book very fast because once I began, I didn't want to stop. And now...I need the sequel because that ending left me reeling!

“You make me want to forget the world.”

Man this book starts off with a bang!! It definitely grabbed my attention and didn’t let up until the end. Mystery, suspense and amazing characters that I couldn’t get enough of. I automatically connected with Bailey, not with her talented because the girl has some serious talent, but with the way she felt at times and her emotions. And yes I caught a few tears obviously because this author loves my tears and is always drawing them from me. Kash is everything I like in a hero, protective, mysterious and deadly. He was exactly what Bailey needs him to be. This is a trilogy so everything isn’t wrapped up by the end and I think the last 10% of the book almost gave me a heart attack. I cannot wait to find out what is to come next! Highly recommend!!

“Secrets were popping up. Anywhere I looked, it was a secret trap door to history I was being warned about.”

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Another winner from Tijan
Tijan is a go-to author for me, and as it turns out, The Insiders is most definitely one of my favourites. Lots of drama, a little action, and a whole lot of romancing when Bailey comes face to face with her tech genius father who also happens to be her childhood idol. Discovering who her father is, and meeting her siblings comes at a price though, round the clock security. Although, I’d be willing to pay that price if I had round the clock protection from Kashton Colello. Kash is my dream guy, but, as is often the case with the broody, alpha type, he has secrets, lots of secrets. I loved the honesty between them, They held nothing back. Bailey’s life is is danger, and Kash is determined to keep her safe, at all costs. I was hooked throughout, I finished this in less than a day (thank you bank holiday weekend), great characters throughout, even those that were less than friendly, had their place, I had no idea who to trust, lots of surprises, and a super twist. Tijan really does know how to keep you on your toes. I absolutely loved it, and if I could give a book more than 5 stars, this would be it. I received an advanced copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. This is my honest review.

Umm where can I sign up for a body guard like Kash?
Some stellar qualities for a book: an attempted kidnapping, a hot bodyguard, sizzling sexual tension and some family drama. 🤔
I would totally give this book 10 stars if I could. It was amazing. It grabbed me by the collar at sentence one and had me literally sitting on the edge of my seat for what happens next that I had to read it in one day!
We have a super nerdy heroine with some genius hacker skills, heck yes. And our brooding alpha male who tries so hard to stay away at first but just can't resist falling for the girl. ❤
I loved it and really want more of Bailey and Kash's story. Definitely a must read so add this baby to your TBR pile right now!

The Insiders by Tijan would make for excellent reality television, if it wasn't fiction. The intro to the blurb describes it perfectly - Bailey is as normal as could be, with a genius IQ and a photographic memory. As normal as could be...

Bailey is completely likable even if the reader is highly unlikely to relate to her life. She's not only normal, she's not easily swayed by the wealth she's suddenly surrounded by. What do you do when you find out your idol is in fact your secret father and he's not that nice? He doesn't want much to do with you and he's not likely to share relevant information like why someone might want to kidnap and/or harm you. As Bailey is spirited away from school to live in Kash's lavish house, she finds herself in the middle of more secrets than she can fathom with a future she cannot picture. Add to this stepsiblings with varied feelings to her presence, a hostile step-mother, the enigmatic and highly sexy Kash, new hanger-ons whose motives are suspect and the continued threats against her and poor Bailey is swimming in uncertainty. And to think until recently her biggest worry was starting grad school.

Kash is hot and cold to Bailey. He's protective and smart and hiding too many secrets. Is he wealthy entrepreneur, intense bulldog bodyguard, loving and caring, cold and aloof? It's going to take a lot before Bailey is certain.

Tijan builds lots of intensity with all the situations this story revolves around. The characters are real whether likable or loathe worthy. Everything Bailey goes through seems possible and likely in the context of her life. .There are so many possibilities that I was guessing to the end as to what was really happening. Love that.

Thanks to St. Martins Griffin and NetGalley for the ARC.

That was intense! I wasn't sure what to expect from this, as it is a bit different from Tijan's other books. It reminded me alot of Bennett Mafia in the sense that it is dark and suspenseful, and it has that crime family vibe as well. If you liked Bennett Mafia, I think you will really enjoy this. There are some pretty graphic scenes in here involving sex, drugs and alcohol use and trigger warnings for things you would associate with mafia and crime families.

We have Bailey, who is ridiculously intelligent and the product of a single mom. Bailey was raised not knowing who her biological father was until she is kidnapped. Her true parentage is revealed and she is given a choice to live at her father's estate under his protection or go back to her life and wait to be kidnapped again. Bailey knows everything about Peter Francis, he was her idol growing up, so naturally she is shocked to find out she has an entire family. Unfortunately, for her protection and theirs she is not being introduced to them as part of the family, but as a family friend of her personal guard Kashton Colello aka Kash. Kash is our mysterious, broody head of security who basically takes charge of every situation. As Bailey gets to know more about him she finds out that there is more to him that just the security details and cleaning up the messes of the Francis family.

The character dynamics were really interesting in this. Bailey is taken from her life and forced into a situation she didn't ask for. Her presence is not wanted by many of those involved in the running of the Francis family daily schedule, but as she gets to know them they begin to warm to her. Bailey just wants a place to belong and wants to be accepted by her new found siblings and of course her father who she has spent her life idolizing. She quickly realizes that she is very protective over her siblings, but she wants nothing to do with the glitz and glam of their posh lifestyle. Her relationship with Kash develops in an interesting way as well. They are definitely attracted to one another, but nothing happens right away. They are always getting interupted by some shenanigans with Matt, or Kash is pulled away for work, or something happens. When they finally do get together is is steamy, but not over the top. Kash has issues opening up to Bailey, but she is determined to make it happen. Overall, I thought Tijan did a good job with the character development. I think there is more yet to come in the future books from these characters, and I look forward to seeing where she takes them.

The ending was left a bit open-ended for my tastes. I do believe this is a trilogy, so I can forgive that knowing we are getting more books. We end with a mini-cliffhanger which sets us up nicely for the start of the next book. Overall, I really enjoyed this and had a hard time putting it down once I got started.

I was provided an ARC in exchange for an honest review.

I really liked this book and it was so interesting. It's not every day that someone tries to kidnap you and you find out who is your father but that happens to Bailey. She was great character and I liked her. It wasn't easy for her to get into his father's world but she had to try. I liked how she was with her siblings and how she wanted to get to know them. Kash was a bit mystery first but I liked him. Can't wait to read next book.
