Sasha runs her family's teddy bear factory in Silver Hollow, Michigan. It's nearing Valentine's Day and Cissy Davison is getting married. She's finagled both Sasha and her sister Maddie as bridesmaids in the wedding, something Sasha isn't looking forward to. That, and having to wear four-inch heels. The night of the bachelorette party, a drunken best man stumbles in and tries to tell one of the bridesmaids that he's sorry and innocent - but no one is having it and the groomsmen drag him out. While Sasha wonders about the comment, she doesn't say anything. The next day at the wedding dinner, Dylan is found dead by Sasha's sister Maddie, and now, after hearing conversations at the party and during the dinner, Sasha looks on everyone with suspicion.

It isn't until the main suspect is found to be Cissy's sister Debbie that Cissy looks at Sasha with desperation. She wants her to prove Debbie's innocence - but Sasha isn't relishing getting involved in another murder investigation, Especially when there's so much going on and she hasn't got time. Or the fact that people are pointing fingers at everyone else. But when another tragedy occurs, Sasha starts to put things together. Or does she?

This is the fourth book in the series and I have read every one of them. My only complaint with this series is that the author has so many characters throughout that it's hard to keep them straight; so on top of the wedding party, we have extended members of Sasha's family thrown in, too. I like the series, but the author needs to cut down the number of characters in each book - it will please the reader not to have to write out a 'cheat sheet,' too.

There was also a darker side story thrown in that had to do with children. I'm not sure why it was there, because the mystery should have been enough. It was just interspersed here and there and that didn't give it any steam on its own, and took away from the murder.

But back to that: after sifting through the characters I pretty much figured out who the murderer was early on. But then I have to say that I read a lot of mysteries, so I've gotten pretty good at this anyway. Still, I think that the writing was good and the plot had enough drive for it in itself, but it's the mass of people in the book (not to mention the local characters that own shops thrown in for good measure) that make the book confusing.

All in all, I did like the ending and how everything turned out, and that's what a mystery should be in the first place. I will continue to read this series because of that. Recommended.

The Silver Bear Shop is all things teddy bears. They even have their own factory behind their house. Sasha usually runs the shop by herself but sometimes her sister Maddie helps. They are both involved in Cissy Davidson's wedding.. All is going well despite the craziness of bridezilla until the best man,, Dylan Campbell ends up murdered at the rehearsal dinner. Who wanted him dead ? The jealous husband, the jilted ex fiancee or someone unknown. Of course Sasha isn't one to just sit back and watch things happen. No siree she makes things happen. And a lot does happen including another murder. But why?? And what about Cissy,'s and Gus' wedding? Its delayed not once, not twice but three times. Will the couple ever be able to marry? Will the killer or killers ever be brought to justice? Definitely a book to read when one has plenty of times because you won't be able to put it down once you start reading.

The fourth in this series finds Sasha Silverman and her family-owned Silver Bear Shop and Factory preparing for Valentine’s Day. The joyous holiday is marred by Bridezilla’s sister being accused of murdering groomsman, also known as the worst best man ever.

This story had plenty of twists, turns and the unexpected. I kept eliminating and adding suspects s I read. As I’ve mentioned in previous reviews, there usually are several subplots woven into each book. This was no exception. One of the topics in the story is child brain cancer.

I did not care for the slimy feeling left by the notion of men using teddy bears for unsavory reason. After all this is a cozy.

I am looking forward to the next installment. This can be read as a standalone story.
I was given an ARC copy by Netgalley and am not required to leave a positive review.

Debbie might have been angry at Dylan for jilting her but she didn't stab him to death at her sister Cissy's wedding rehearsal dinner. Cissy asks Sasha, who enlists her sister Maddie, to find out who really did it. Sasha and Maddie already have their hands full with their teddy bear business and a fund raiser but they forge ahead (a bit ahead of where they should be). It's a classic cozy so you know that Dylan made more than just Debbie mad and that there will be some glitches along the way in the investigation. This series has a large cast (family, friends, romantic interests, clients) and Macy uses a lot of puns but it's entertaining and light. Thanks to Netgalley for the ARC.

This is the first book I’ve read in this series, and I thought it works well as a standalone. I had no problems following along with the main character, Sasha. There are references to murders that Sasha had helped solved from previous books, but I didn’t feel like I was really missing anything.

My main problem with the story was that I didn’t care for anyone in the wedding party. When the best man is murdered, almost everyone has reasons to have killed him. I found all the characters to be irritating, and there were so many of them it was often hard to keep track of who was related or married to who.

There’s also a side story involving potential crimes against children, and honestly, I wasn’t sure why that was thrown in there. There was enough of a mystery going on with the murders without having to throw that in on top of it.

I did like that the author keeps readers guessing as to who the murderer was. I didn’t see that coming and I liked the surprise of it. I was a little surprised how easily he confessed though.

Unfortunately, this book wasn’t really my cup of tea. I found most of the characters to be too annoying for my liking. Still, there was enough that I did like about it that I would be willing to try another book by this author.

Readers who love these cosy, quirky mysteries will find this a great example of the genre. Building on an existing character base, the book presents a mystery which comes to a satisfying conclusion and which allows the reader to work along with the protagonist and feel they have been a part of finding the solution.

Set in Silver Hollow, Michigan, Sasha Silverman runs a shop called Silver Bear Shop which she’s been managing since her father retired. They sell teddy bears and their accessories, produced in the factory behind their Victorian home.

Sasha and her sister Maddie are set to be bridesmaids at Cissy Davidson’s wedding. Sasha’s partner Jay Kirby has also been hired to make two ice sculptures: one for the rehearsal dinner and the other for the reception.

Meanwhile, Cissy is not happy to have Dylan Campbell as the best man; Cissy’s sister Debbie and Dylan were engaged before he dumped her after they’d planned their wedding. Cissy’s fiancé, Gus, however, insists on having Dylan as his best man.

But then at the couples’ wedding rehearsal dinner, Dylan is found dead in the restroom; he’s been stabbed with an ice pick. Who killed him and why?

Matters worse, they find Debbie with a red stain on her dress. Is it Dylan’s blood? But Debbie claims she spilled marinara sauce on her dress. Now the police think Debbie killed Dylan. The bride’s family begs Sasha to help them prove Debbie’s innocence.

I enjoyed this book. My first in the series and I look forward to reading more by the author. Would recommend.

Thank you to NetGalley, Meg Macy, and Kensington for the ARC of this book.

Wedding Bear Blues by Meg Macy which is the fourth book in the author's Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear Mystery series is a fun whodunit. The characters are very likable. Sasha Silverman, the main amateur sleuth, keeps getting asked to prove a character's innocence. In this story the bride asks Sasha to prove her sister Debbie's innocence after the murder of the best man, Dylan who is Debbie's ex-fiance. This leads to Sasha's involvement in the murder investigation. In this story the best man was murdered during the wedding rehearsal dinner. Ms. Macy sure kept me guessing with this case. She does a great job teasing readers with possible suspects and then surprises the readers wit the identity of the murderer. I really enjoyed this book!

This book is the fourth in this series and it is 'beary' good indeed!
The characters were well written and the whodunit was top notch. It kept me guessing right up to the reveal.
A good solid cozy mystery and I look forward to reading further books in the series.

The 4th in the Shamelessly Adorable Teddy Bear mystery series. Sasha Silverman is running the family Silver Bear shop and factory along with her sister Maddie are bridesmaids in a Valentines wedding. The bride, Cissy Davidson is a bridezilla and the groom’s best man Dylan was engaged and broke her sister Debbie’s heart so when Dylan winds up dead at the rehearsal dinner she becomes the prime suspect. Sasha is asked once again to investigate and help prove Debbie’s innocence. This is a good solid mystery and a great addition to this series. There was a lot of drama surrounding the wedding and almost nothing redeeming about Dylan so lots of suspects who might have done him in. I really like Sasha and her whole family and how they all work together and help each other out.

A wedding featuring not on a Bridezilla but an overabundance of unpleasant friends and relations is marred by the murder of the putative best man.

An agreeable enough cozy mystery, but nothing special, without a sufficiency of teddy bear content to make up for it.

This was my first time reading this series. I was confused at first with all the different characters. Sasha is the MC and owns the Silver Bear Shop and Factory. Sasha and her sisters are bridesmaids in an up coming wedding. The best man is murdered and Sasha is on the case. I would suggest you read the other books in the series first.

This is a fun story where a teddy bear shop manager vows to solve a crime before a ruthless killer ruins a Valentines DayWedding. At the Silver Bear Shop and Factory Sasha will be selling plenty of bride and groom teddy bears for springtime weddings. Sasha and her sister are bridesmaids at Cissy Davidson’s up coming wedding in Silver Hollow. Cissy is upset over the grooms pick for best man and he won’t budge in his decision. The best man Dylan is found dead impaled with a ice pick. When Debbie is the most likely suspect because of the blood on her dress the bride begs Sasha to prove her sister’s innocence. Sasha needs to find the cold hearted killer who iced Dylan so the festivities can go on. This author writes fun, exciting stories using cute and cuddly teddy bears to add to the murder and mayhem.

The latest in Meg Macy's A Teddy Bear Mystery series did not immediately engage me. 'Wedding Bear Blues' had many characters I didn't know and I felt as if I was missing an inside joke. Often the dialogue was infantile and that was disappointing. The mystery was convoluted and the resolution a let down. I also was confused about the addition of a child pornography aspect and a gratuitous fund raiser with remarkably little financial return for the global issue of childhood brain cancer. I feel as if Ms. Macy would have done better to concentrate on relationships and her mystery. Definitely not my favorite in the series.

I received a complimentary copy of this book from the publisher via NetGalley. The opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Author Meg Macy delivers a snuggly cozy chocked full of fun details in Wedding Bear Blues. As with previous books in this series, I was charmed with the rich, sparkly details surrounding the Silver Bear Shop in Silver Hollow, MI. The protagonist, Sasha Silverman, manages the family shop; has two of the cutest little dogs—Sugar Bear and Rosie, plus her cat, Onyx—and a great boyfriend, Jay Kirby, who’s a carver of both wood and ice, and an animal lover, also.

Sasha is to be a bridesmaid for bridezilla, Cissy Davison, and it’s a decision Sasha fast regrets. Both sides of the wedding party have past and/or current indiscretions and secrets that threaten a smooth wedding ceremony.

Despite the seriousness of murder surrounding the nuptials; humor makes an appearance throughout the story. Suspicious men appear at the bear shop with odd questions that make Sarah wonder if illegal drug smuggling is involved. Around halfway through the story, I had an idea of who the murderer might be, and sure enough, I was right! I enjoyed the intricate plot, and I’m looking forward to book five. I highly recommend this charming series to cozy fans!

I honestly reviewed a digital arc provided by NetGalley and Kensington Publishing. All opinions are my own. Thank you.

WEDDING BEAR BLUES is the fourth book in the shamelessly adorable Teddy Bear Mysteries by Meg Macy. This newest addition features Valentine’s Day as the backdrop for protagonist Sasha Silverman and her family-owned Silver Bear Shop and Factory. Love should be in the air with chocolates, roses, and teddy bears galore but instead a bridezilla and the worst best man ever take all the joy out of the holiday. I truly enjoy Sasha and her family. They work well together and I love how her mom has gotten involved in local politics and is running for mayor. Rounding out their core family are two sets of aunts and uncles. The extended family gives greater insight into the characters of the Silverman family, which is all good. The auxiliary characters, however, don’t have many qualities to make them likeable, including the ring bearer dog and the bratty flower girl. Still, the interaction between these characters ramps up the tension as the scene careens toward the murder.

When the bride’s sister is accused of the murder, Sasha and her sister are pulled into proving her innocence. The author does an admirable job of setting up reasons why so many people could have killed the worst best man ever. I was convinced multiple times that I’d figured it out only to change my mind a few pages later. Along with the main murder plot, there are subplots interwoven to add to the storyline. Why does their teddy bear shop competitor want to buy a neighboring house? Is he trying to sabotage their business? The author also includes a heartwarming thread for raising both awareness and funds for pediatric brain cancer which I applaud. On the other hand there is a small subplot involving creepster men who use teddy bears for nefarious reasons involving kids. While there is nothing graphic and nothing happens on page, it left me with an icky feeling. Despite that one small item, as the story concludes and the reveal comes to light, Ms. Mims pulls all the threads together into a cohesive plot that left me satisfactorily surprised.

A wedding, Valentine's Day, and a murder? This is everything and more in the fourth installment of this series. Love is in the air, and murder of the best man leaves an air of disaster when it comes to a wedding. Full of twists, suspects, and a plot that doesn't quit.

Great read. The author really draws the reader into the story. So many different twists in the plot in trying to solve the mystery of who did it. Cannot wait for another book by the author.

This is the first book in this series I have read, and I am certain I’ll go back to read the books that come before it in the series. I did not have any problem following the storyline, as there is enough history given so one can understand. The main character and her sister are to be in bridezilla’s wedding, as well as running their respective businesses and eventually trying to find out the identity of a murderer. It was a fun, fast, easy and entertaining short story. I did find there were a lot of characters introduced during the wedding rehearsal night, and it was hard to keep them straight.
