This was a great quick younger man older woman read!! It had me hooked from the beginning and did not disappoint. Neighbors to lovers too, loved it!!
Hot steamy full of erotic scenes but all these wrapped in an enjoyable fast paced humorous story. In a phrase... I loved it. I couldn't let my tablet/book down. The perfect story for a lazy afternoon.
This was a pretty fast read! I enjoyed the Older woman/ younger man aspect a lot! The characters were very likeable.
D*mn Near Perfect took me about an hour to read, it was mainly sex without substance. If you want a quick and steamy book, this will be perfect for you. Personally i would have liked it to be double the size and expanded on the characters and their emotional ties to each other. Also, she was only 35! I dont know why she kept talking about herself like she was ancient and why men kept referring to her as still being attractive.
Hot. One word to describe this book. The sex scenes were written phenomenally and made you wish you were in the place of Beth. It was a short book, just under 200 pages but it was packed with wonderfully written characters that developed from the moment we met them both and of course the sex scenes... can't forget those. I almost wish for a sequel to get more of Jonathon and Beth's adventure into marriage and how they grow in their professions.
A quick and dirty novella! I loved this book and devoured it in one sitting. I can't wait to read the next book in the series.
Thanks so NetGalley and Romantic's Heart Publishing for an eARC in exchange for an honest review.
Sexy younger man/older woman novella. Beth Andrews' fantasies about her upstairs neighbor come to life and led to happily ever after! Quick, steamy read.
Too much sex & insta love for my liking, Beth seemed desperate for attention & Jonathan was a bit of a man whore
Wouldn't rush to read more from this author
A short novella about a woman who starts sleeping with her upstairs neighbour and quickly turns into more.
This is hard to rate as this is basically just smut from beginning to end. The relationship development was minimal due to the length of the story and the conflict is something that has been done to death in books and movies so not very exciting in that regard. Especially since the conflict was resolved so quickly. The smut was okay. It didn't blow me out of the water but it wasn't bad either.
This is a really cute, short book. The relationship, not just physically, moves quicker than the average couple does. Since I know couples who have moved that fast, it’s within the realm of reality. I love that these two are so drawn to each other and that their jobs complement each other. (Though I was a bit confused in the beginning as to why Jonathan had to travel so much as an artist.)
Beth Andrews is bitter from her divorce, and also, she is bitter from her lack of being satisfied by the men that she has dated since then. Especially her last man who only talks of finical, stocks, and earnings. When she gets him off yet won’t return the pleasure that night becomes more unbearable when her upstairs neighbor will not be quiet especially with the number of times, he and his date are still going at it. She has also noticed since she cannot sleep the women are different than the last one.
A few days go by and low and behold her upstairs neighbor is standing in front of her after knocking at her door. Wanting to introduce himself with a bottle of wine she decides to let him in and the next thing she knows they are moving from the couch to the bedroom. After telling him she needs a break he tells her two hours and when she hears a noise she is awakened. Remembering what Johnathon said about setting an alarm she is surprised he actually did.
She is surprised that he is attracted to her and though he leaves for a business trip when she arrives for his art show they spend an hour together making up for the lost time. You get the feeling that they are both into each other and once it begins to grow a misunderstanding by Beth leads to a breakup for a short bit. She still has her fears and insecurities from her past marriage and divorce once she realizes her mistake will his youthfulness allow him to accept her forgiveness or will it be too prideful and ruin a good thing that they had. Read this good story with good characters and is also a quick read.
This was a short fun little read. Very fast paced and to the point. Lol Beth is a successful business woman who has been divorced for a few years is not having the best of luck in the romance department meets her upstairs neighbor Jonathan who is a successful artist and when he makes the first move, things get very steamy fast. The chemistry between these two is very hot from the moment they meet. Since this is a short little story there is little drama. So when a small misunderstanding between Beth and Jonathan happens it gets quickly resolved and ends in a happy ending.
I received this book via NetGalley for my honest review.
It's been two years since Beth got divorced. It's not that she is is looking for a guy. She is looking for sex. But it's not so easy.
Well, it's not easy for her. Because her neighbour, Jonathan, has a new girl every single night. All night long.
So when Jonathan makes a move on Beth, she can't refuse. He is a sex machine. Who would refuse?? Come on!
This book is super short. That's good because you can read it in a couple of hours. But, at the same time, everything happens so fast that it doesn't seem believable.
This is exactly what I expected ... a spicy hot romance!
The sex is off the charts. The characters are well written.
My biggest issue is that it’s a short book.
I’ll be looking for more of Nancy Fraser’s books!
Thanks to NetGalley and the publisher for providing an arc in exchange for my honest review.
I liked it a lot!
Well written sexy romance for adults...
Good chemistry between the characters, interesting, good pace, short read.
Beautiful cover too.
Thank you to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC of this book. This is my honest review. All opinions are my own.
This is fun escapism at its best - no challenge, just some laughs and some pretty hot sex scenes! If you are the type of skip past the sex, you might find this book on the brief side. The plot is “as it says on the can” - a light hearted romp based on a kind of funny premise. I thought it was well written, didn’t take itself too seriously and made me laugh.
The book was provided to me for an honest review by NetGalley.
While I was intrigued by the teaser summary of the book, I was left disappointed. I felt like I never got to know either of the main characters. I was expecting a romance novel and instead ended up with a book that was just about Beth, a recent divorcee, and her younger neighbor, Jonathon, having a lot of sex. The plot was predicable and boring, but the sex scenes were decent.
I didn't think much of the writing skills. The romance that blossomed and their first time in her apartment felt made-up and insincere. However, I get that no one's reading this book for quality literature.
This is the first in a series and the author set it up for other characters mentioned to have their own stories told in next books.
I liked this story. I love an older woman younger man romance. I wish it was a little longer. I liked this author and I would read more.
Readers of eroticism expect the book to contain a good story mixed in with a good amount of graphic sex scenes. Oh it had a lot of the latter but not so much the former. The story had cracks in it. By that I mean it seemed to not finish one thought before it jumped to another with sex scenes thrown in. Then there was the ending. I felt like the story hit a brick wall and stopped. Yet there is hope that with some tweaking and more added to this book, the author would have a really great story.
I received an advanced reader copy from NetGalley and am voluntarily leaving my review.
