I appreciate the publisher allowing me to read this book. This is a very interesting book about a subject I knew little about but intend to learn more. Highly recommend.
I actually ordered this book and read the 'hard copy.' SO fascinating! I love the history, the grit, the pure athleticism! Such a well-researched book!
A very short book although .when you realise that racism existed in the early '50s towards black athletes you wonder just how if anything has been achieved in the lives of ordinary Afro Americans when the BLM is needed to achieve equality still.
This reads more of a book for students and historians rather than the general public. however, I have still enjoyed the main theme.
