Courage in a White Coat is a great biography/memoir. It is well researched and a very interesting read. Dorothy was a medical missionary when she fell in love. When her child is born there is a shift in change. Her little family would be swept into a Japanese internment camp. The other prisoners remember her in her white coat carrying for everyone. Such an inspirational woman. This book tells the story of a hero, a wife, mother and so much more!

Thank you to Netgalley for allowing me to read this book.

This is not usually something that I would read, however I really enjoyed it. I have read a lot of historical biographies but this one was particularly interesting as it was from a missionary perspective and covered the Japanese prisoner of war camps. Over the book you really got to know the characters and Dorathay is truly inspirational. I enjoyed the love story and the tales of her children mixed with the hardship of life in the camps. Would certainly recommend this to anyone looking for a different perspective on the war.

A true story of a courageous young American doctor who struggles to bring healthcare to a poor remote village in India. The lack of supplies and the caste system makes her job nearly impossible. It takes you into a world known at the time to fear outsiders. She eventually finds love at last.

I have just one word; captivating. The author weaves visual metaphors into this story artfully. I truly enjoyed this book and fully intend to again..
