I like the setting and the continuation of the main characters. Taylor and Pierce have all ways been best pals with no lovey Dovey stuff. Until one night, after drinking Too much, they explore the path of no return. I always like this plot line because they can never go back to the way things were. It just takes them a while to realize it. There are some racy scenes that are very steamy. I liked how they were willing to admit their flaws and adapt their lives and realize home isn't necessary a place but a feeling. I hope this series continues because it's a good one.

I've read books by this author that I really enjoyed before so I was excited to get an ARC of this book. I was surprised to see it was part of a series but could be read as a standalone. With so many more books on my TBR pile, I fought the OCD of needing to read them in order. It was a cute sorry of friends to lovers, no strings attached. But their relationship felt comfy like an old shoe, slightly boring.
I received a complimentary copy of this book through NetGalley. The views and opinions expressed in this review are entirely my own.

Forever in Cape May is the third book in the Sunshine Sisters series, and those of us who have read the series, we’ve been waiting for Taylor and Pierce’s story. Love that these two have been best friends since childhood, love that they’ve supported each other in their talents as artists, and love the Cape May setting. What I didn’t really care for was the continual back and forth on whether or not these two should take it to the next step, which doesn’t usually happen with this author in her books. I honestly put this book down a few times because you just wanted to smack the two of them and tell them to just move on already, but when they are together it’s pretty awesome. You find yourself wanting the two of them to live the life they both want together. Loved we got to see Avery and Carter get married, Zoe is adorable, and Bella and Gabe make their appearance. It can be read as a standalone, but you get more history reading the series.

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC copy of this book

I didn’t read the first two but that wasn’t an issue. The author did a great job with that portion of the story and readers should have no issue reading this as a stand-alone novel.

I would like to say I really enjoyed this, but the truth is I was a little bored at times. The dynamic between Taylor and Pierce didn’t have the tension I was hoping for, but maybe that’s the effect of them being best friends for so long. I hate to admit, I had a hard time wrapping my head around them coming together. I think it’s because there was so much emphasis in the beginning about how they had no chemistry. They even made a pact and tried twice before to get together . So I couldn’t get fully on board. It might be fault of the trope, but either way, I wasn’t fully invested in them as a romantic couple.

Thank you NetGalley for the advance copy.

I haven't read the prior 2 books in the series (although I did buy the first book in the series due to the good reviews) so I was excited to receive an early copy from NetGalley. A friends to lovers book (one of my favorite tropes), it has the standard story- one person wants the other more and the other just wants to "escape" what she thinks is a boxed-in existence. Taylor wants life outside of small town living. Pierce loves his hometown and he loves Taylor so much that he wants what is best for her. But he wishes that it wasn't a life without him. So, when they have a summer to explore their attraction, can real love and attachment come out of it? As always, a sweet read with lovable characters. Obviously, I need to read the other books in the series.

wait what this is book 3.. .how did i miss out on one of my fav authors series release? i will say i didnt know it was book 3 until i sat down to write the book review. So i am glad i didnt lose a lot of information by jumping ahead. I will say i can see who the other two books were about and their love is soooo cute so i bet their books are too. this book is a perfect vacation (to your couch because COVID..) book. Just remember when you get to 50% you need to flip over and catch some sun on the other side.

Great ending to this romance series. I've loved everyone of them. Predictable but fun and enjoyable. I would highly recommend you add this one and the first two of the Sunshine Sisters series to your summer TBR beach read list.

Thank you #netgalley and #montlake for the eARC.

I have always enjoyed the idea that even though there is history with years of friendship, there’s still much more to know about a person. I enjoy the anguish of deciding what the next move should be and which a person should follow, their heart or their head. This story is a prime example of that. Taylor and Pierce’s is sweet and wholesome. It’s the kind of relationship you hope for with your partner. One that is supportive and kind, while having a passion that is hard to extinguish. Though this is a part of a series, I had no problem jumping in while not reading the other two books. The author had a great way of making a new reader, like myself, feel as if I did read the other two books.

For as nice as this story was, there were times it felt a bit too generic for me and there wasn’t much to distinguish it from other books with a similar storyline. At times I had a hard time with Taylor as the lead female. Some of her actions irritated me and her stubbornness made it hard for me to root for them as a couple. For me the story was more captivating towards the end of it. I felt more chemistry and emotions than in the beginning. The pace of the story began to speed up and I found myself becoming more invested in the outcome towards the end.

Overall this was a good read and though there are some aspects of the story that I wish were different, I did enjoy a majority of it. Thank you to NetGalley and Montlake for this ARC

Do you love friends to lovers? That moment when they realize they’re more - does it make you clench your chest in joy? What about when they start sleeping together and COMPLETELY convince themselves it’s not love, but we all know better?

Then ‘Forever in Cape May’ is for you.

Mark April 6 on your calendar, and get excited to finish our time with the Sunshine sisters. This one is a worthy finale for sure.

This is the third and final novel in the Sunshine Sisters trilogy. Having read the first two books, I wasn't really sure I wanted to read Taylor's story. The three Sunshine Sisters grew up in Cape May and were running a very successful wedding planning business. But Taylor was the one sister that never wanted to be a part of the family business, couldn't wait to leave Cape May and didn't believe in marriage! To say she was the black sheep of the family was an understatement. However, as much as I wasn't looking forward in particular to Taylor's story, I knew I wanted to see how everything worked out in the series. After having finished the book, I am very glad I didn't let my previous opinion stop me from reading. Although, frankly there were plenty of times I wanted to smack some sense into Taylor to get her to realize she was missing what was right in front of her with her best friend Pierce! This best friends to lovers romance was a great escape from the everyday with its descriptions of Cape May to the streets of Paris.

We're back in Cape May on the Jersey Coast with the three Sunshine sisters who run their own wedding planner business.

Taylor is the final sister to tell us her story.
She was never supposed to be working as a wedding planner. She always wanted more. She wanted to travel. To make art. To live an amazing life outside of boring Cape May, New Jersey.
And after years of being stuck at home, she's finally seeing an amazing artsy future on the horizon. Painting in Paris... and so much more exciting things to come.
And then there's Pierce. Taylor and Pierce have been besties since highschool.
They made a pact that nothing romantic will ever happen between them. It would destroy their friendship.

Famous last words ...

Let the fun times begin ...

WHAT WILL HAPPEN WITH TAYLOR & PIERCE?
WILL THERE BE A HEA??
READ THE BOOK TO FIND OUT ☺

I just loved this series ... so much!
And this final book is just as adorable as the first ones.

We so want those two to finally figure things out! Everybody knows they belong together!
It might take them a little while though. They're just too scared to lose their amazing friendship.

I don't want to say any more - I don't want to spoil anything.
It was a beautiful and funny and adorable and sparky love story.

It's an amazing series. Perfect location! Great cast!

Also - I want to move to Cape May asap!
And I so want to see this whole thing on Netflix!!!

► FOREVER IN CAPE MAY was such an adorable + sparky & emotional + artsy + wedding-y New Jersey Beach Town love story! I loved it! Run to your nearest amazon for your own Pierce - this one is mine!

I wanted a book with a beautiful setting and a plot I could escape in. Forever in Cape May was just that. It has more of Jennifer Probst's knack for friendships and banter, and was the perfect weekend read. While parts of it felt a bit formulaic, it was a great curl-up-under-a-blanket comfort read.

This trilogy of interconnected standalones has been a journey. I have come to be attached to the Sunshine sisters. They are each so different as is their love story. However, the underlying devotion and sisterhood that is common in each of these books need to be treasured.

I loved that the author poked fun at the cliche of making a marriage pact between best friends at a certain age and instead twisted the pact to be something else entirely. It was a perfect setup for what would happen between Taylor and Pierce. I loved watching these two navigate their feelings as they both tried to preserve their friendship. Even though as a reader it was plain to see that just the title of friendship meant that it stayed in the box. Sometimes the best friendships make the best life partners too.

It is bittersweet to see this series end. I have loved them. I cannot wait to see what this author has in store next. I am sure it will be amazing.

I was excited to revisit this series because Jennifer Probst always writes a a great, emotional romance, and this book was no exception. I was sad to see the trilogy end.

This is such a beautiful series, with a gorgeous tale tof finish ithe off. I can admit to a certain love for the friends to lovers trope, though it is too often set up as one of the pair harbouring unrequited love for the other. With Taylor and Pierce the history woven through their story, the 'opportunities' along the way, and the genuine growing feelings established by the author, this story reads and feels like one long, happy sigh.
Taylor is a complicated woman, but Pierce knows what makes her tick, even when she doesn't realise it herself. Even when it comes to his cost. I thought the scene in his studio was just beautiful. This story encapsulates the best of friendship in a relationship, and the beauty of not knowing what you've had until you lose it.

Thank you to netgalley and the author for the arc in exchange for an honest review.

This was my first book by the author and won't be my last as i enjoyed the writing and the romance quite a lot.
I'm always looking for some artists characters and this one definitely hit most of my boxes.
Childhood friends that become lovers, a secret relationship that transforms in something much more than any of them agreed beforehand and of course , a love that makes its way into their hearts when less expected.
I loved the interactions between the families and especially the settings in Cape May and of course, Paris, the city of love where so many hearts blooms or are broken.
I'm looking foreword to more books by the author in the future.
