Love & Other Disasters is about J.P. and Violet and is told from both of their points of view. Violet and J.P. had one fun night together, however Violet may have used a cover for who she was.
Now with his job on the line he finds himself working with Violet. Feelings still grow, but he needs to save his career.
Will they be able to work together? Will they get their happy ending?
This was also just an okay read for me. It started out great when we meet Violet who gets to be all hot and flashy and posing as Katya for one night and ends up having a One Night Stand with J.P. Harper. Next comes the awkwardness and embarrassment when she discovers that her ONS is now her new boss, Jordon.
It starts off really nice and funny but ends being confused on what it wants to be. And I have this thing where I do not like fmcs having double standards in the book and Violet definitely fell in that category. I felt so sorry for Jordon because he had to face crap from everyone around him and I really think he deserved better than what Violet was offering.
This just wasn't for me. I did not connect with it and I found it to be boring, which did not make me excited to keep picking it up.
Cute and funny this book kept me really engaged and waiting to see what would happen next. I liked it and will seek out more books from this author.
I loved it from beginning till the end. It was a real page turner couldn't put it down once I started it. The story was fast paced, witty and engaging and I cannot wait to read the next book this author brings out. Happy reading everyone
This book just didn't connect at any point... Way too much telling and descriptions of décor and 'stuff' and the characters just never really stood out for me, unfortunately
I really enjoyed this roller coaster of an almost adventure / romance/ rom com. I would definitely recommend picking it up for a fun vacation read.
Nice story overall with interesting characters and a romance that goes through a few bumpy obstacles before it gets its deserved place on the shelf. I haven’t read any of the authors books before but will keep an eye on her as I liked her writing and I’m curious about next books.
Loved this read! Couldn't put it down and decided to read it all in one sitting, definatly did not disapoint! Thankyou author!
This book started out so strong but lost the plot somewhere along the way.
I loved Jordan but Violet was another story. Though she grew into herself through the novel, I still felt Jordan deserved better.
Note - this is a closed door sexy times kind of book if that’s something you want to know.
Sad to say this wasn`t for me. I often like meet cute books, but this just didn`t do it for me. Did not feel like the characters had chemistry and were just annoying and boring.
An enjoyable romance, nice characters and writing, but nothing particularly stood out to me, run of the mill story, just lacked a bit of spark or warmth for me.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
I received a copy of the book from Netgalley to review. Thank you for the opportunity.
A fluffy and stereotypical romance.
An OK read.
Due to illness I unfortunately have to make my reviews short and to the point. This book was a unexpected surprise. Not only did I actually fall form the hero, he kept me interested in what was going to more so than the heroine. He's a very interesting character. Put this book on your list. You won't regret it.
I liked it for about the first 50-60%, after that it just felt slow. It felt wordy and like it could have been cut down some with the same effect. I liked Jordan. I liked that it was set in an area/city I’m familiar with- Nashville. Those were the main things I liked.
Free copy received from NetGalley in exchange for an honest review.
I was a little disappointed with this one. As other reviewers have commented, the plot was a bit disjointed and I felt like it was trying to do too much without doing one thing well. I would check out more by the author, though, maybe it was just a one-off issue.
I really love this book.
I enjoy the characters and the story is very well written, I really hope that there is more pages because this book is so good that give a read slump.
The story of Violet and Jordan is so funny and beautiful and I enjoy meeting this characters and how their story began.
I didn't know the author but I will search other books and stay alert for new releases.
a 5 star reading for me
I had high hopes for this one but there was just too much going on but it does get points for kinda being cute and funny. I was just expecting more.

Thank you NetGalley, Enchanted Publishing and Terri Jones for gifting me an advance copy of this book in exchange for my honest opinion!
I’m going to be honest... I didn’t finish this one. I know, I know, I’m the worst. But here’s the thing, I REALLY don’t enjoy third person POV unless it’s done very well. I feel like I had too many moments of not really being sure what was going on to get invested. I thought this would be a light and steamy romance that I could binge read in one sitting to cleanse my palate. Unfortunately I think it had the opposite effect. When I started this one, I thought I would breeze through it in one sitting and love the characters. And I did... for a while. Somewhere after the first 50% the pace just seemed off. I’m not sure if that was a writing flaw or if the story started to drag, therefore my attention started to drag. I know this all sounds harsh but this is a book journal for me as it is a review for others so I try to avoid sugar coating how I feel! Honestly, all in all, I think this book was decent, but not very memorable!
Definitely an awkward moment for Violet Murphy who finds her one night stand is now going to be her boss. After a night out with a girlfriend (Elle), Violet gives a false name to a ‘hot guy’ called J.P, who she spends the night with. Yet J.P. Harper is the new CFO brough it to save the company where Violet works at as an accountant. Soon they find themselves working together to uncover the missing half-million, that Violet may be involved with.
This was definitely a great read with plenty of drama happening. I found myself thoroughly immersed in the romance between J.P and Violet, who are desperately attracted to each other. J.P. finds himself utterly captivated by Violet, which was so sweet, yet Violet can’t believe that this attractive man, could fall for her. I particularly liked J.P.’s support for Violet and the issues that she had with her sister, as they were well handled.
A great cover to match the enjoyable and entertaining read!
