Wish I had read this book sooner, was a great thrilling read with good established characters and plot. Will recommend to family and friends.

It took a while to read this book, not really due to anything with the book, just life in general, it was a good book, just not one that I felt I had to be reading at the expense of everything else.

When the President of the United States decides he like the power he has and doesn’t want to surrender it after eight years, he plots to create a constitutional crisis. When the plan is discovered, a lieutenant colonel assigned to the Pentagon decides that he needs to take action to stop it. With a ragtag group of NCOs, secretaries, and CIA, a counter-plan is made and brought to the attention of the President-elect and his protection detail. Story moves at an excellent pace, characters and plot very well developed.

With Watergate in the distant past, and long before the current denizens of the U.S. capital arrived; these characters populated the District of Columbia—and left us this dilemma.
