A delightful book full of adventure, action, and thrills. Fun to read, engrossing world building, and very descriptive imagery made it feel like it was cinematic. It's hard to resist the story as it drives forward. Would recommend.

This was an amazing conclusion to the Brown Sisters trilogy! I've loved every book in this series so far and Act Your Age, Eve Brown was no different. Eve is the sunshine to Jacob's grumpy and this has to be one of my favorite executions of this trope I've ever read! I'm currently making my way through Talia Hibbert's backlist now that this series is over and I have yet to read anything below a 4-star!

This book was a wonderful experience. I loved how the author did take time to show Eve come into their own and see her beyond surface level. The romance was amazing and I have a soft spot for Jacob’s character as well as their meet cute. I loved the fact that we got to see how protective the Browns were even though they felt they needed to be harder on Eve in order for her to become more responsible. I love all the reps in this book and how important it is for people to be treated with kindness and love rather than always lacking in an area. Overall this book met my expectations with laughter, a beautiful romance, and a way to have a good time.

What a fantastic end to the Brown Sisters trilogy! I think this was my favorite one. Not only was it enemies to lovers, it was set in a quaint English village at a B&B. The romance was amazing and the steamy scenes were very steamy. Nobody does romance quite like Talia Hibbert. Looking forward to reading their future books.

This book was so so cute! I admit I haven't read the other books in this series but I didn't need them to understand this.
The "friendly" enemies to lovers romance trope was quite dominant in this book but I loved it! It wasn't too much and it wasn't too little, it was just right!
Having never read a book by Talia Hibbert before, I wasn't sure what to expect. But I got plenty! This book was light, fun and tense all at the same time with a flowing plot. I loved it!
Can we please have more🥴

Thank you NetGalley for this ARC!!!

Talia Hibbert strikes gold again in Act Your Age, Eve Brown. It is funny, sexy, charming, heartbreaking at times, and overall fantastic. I absolutely adored the character of Eve and related to her struggling to find her place in the world after trying a multitude of things but nothing quite clicking. I love how deeply she cared for others. I also loved how she just want to make her parents and family in general, proud. Jacob was so funny and charming. My heart broke learning about his backstory of growing up and his parents being neglectful. Watching Eve and Jacob’s relationship develop over the book was beautiful to watch. I cannot wait for more books by Talia.

First romance I’ve read where both characters are autistic so that was super special and awesome. Loved seeing a grumpy autistic and sunshine autistic. Sexy and sweet as always with Talia’s books.

Another laugh-out-loud funny Brown sisters book. I am so sad to say goodbye to this series. This one was also extra spicy.

I really loved all of the Brown Sister books, but Eve was probably my favorite! I connected to it in ways I haven't connected to a book since THE KISS QUOTIENT and really appreciate seeing more books deal with neurodiversity in ways that don't define a person or their lifestyle.

I have really loved and appreciated that every Brown sister has had something atypical that has shaped them and their stories, and I have sold these books to SO many customers based on these issues and how they resonate with the person I'm conversing with.

My only wish would be to have the publisher define the book as Romance instead of Fiction so I could officially move them into the Romance section and not just let them live on my Romance Endcap. They deserve so much more and I'm always running to Fiction to grab them for people shopping in Romance!

This is by far my favorite Brown Sisters book. Talia Hibbert is fantastic at creating independent, sassy heroines and irresistible heroes, following that Eve is the sassiest, and most independent woman who falls for the best and most irresistible man.

Because I'm still collecting my thoughts:

#1, The thing that I probably love the most about Talia's books is the *casual* representation. Her books are diverse and inclusive, but not in a way that caters to the people reading it -- it's just natural, as it should be. The autism representation in this book was fantastic. It was never a hurtle to jump over, nor was it the focus of the developing romance. It was perfectly done.

#2. THE B AND B!! I love a good setting, and the bed and breakfast was (pardon the pun) a perfect chef's kiss. The proximity of working together, the love Eve developed for the cottage -- it was all perfection. (In a nutshell, I guess this book is perfection).

#3. The hilarity is amazing. The banter Talia writes hits just the right spot. I was laughing throughout this entire book -- and definitely crying too.

I'll treasure this entire series as one of my favorites forever, but this one was definitely the best and most memorable.

5 Stars / 4 Steam Fans

Act Your Age, Eve Brown just moved into my favorite Brown sister slot!! Eve and Jacob are so much fun together from their first introductions. Eve and Jacob are dealing with individual issues as well as the ones they get into together. I loved every second and page of their story.

This is one of my favorite romances of 2021. Talia Hibbert is such an incredible romance writer and I’m delighted that she’s finally getting some attention. (Linking to the podcast below because we talked about this in multiple episodes)

This was my first time reading Talia Hibbert, and I really loved her voice and the very British sense of humor and cheekiness of the characters. I do wish she had done a little bit more with the B&B premise of the book, and the competition that was teased early on but didn't become the centerpoint of the story that I was expecting it to be. Still, I really enjoyed the main characters and their dynamic and only wished we had had more time to build up to them falling in love – but I am looking forward to following Talia's career and reading more of her books in the future.

Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for an e-arc in exchange for my honest review.

This is the third installment of the Brown sisters trilogy and again, Hibbert knocked it out of the park. This is a fun little romance involving Eve Brown and Jacob as they become sort of enemies to lovers. The chemistry between the characters leap off the page and you can't help but giggle at their antics. The sex scenes were pretty steamy and the diner storyline was unique to me.

There were a little bit of repetitive scenes and moments but I still enjoyed the book as a whole. Talia Hibbert is such a great author and I can't wait to read more from her!

5/5

Well, this was just a delightful read!

Ask almost anyone that knows me, casually, and they’ll tell you I don’t have a sense of humor. It’s not true. My humor just doesn’t coincide with today’s comedy standards. I honestly don’t know what the fuss is with most comedians. I don’t like most comedy movies. And if it’s a book that’s supposed to be funny? Most of the time I’m rolling my eyes.

There have been books that make me laugh. But, I can’t even remember the last book that made me laugh out loud, snicker, and chuckle to myself, like I did here. I was sitting on the couch reading as my wife sewed at the table and she had to ask what I was reading because I just don’t laugh like this when reading.

This book is everything I could have possibly wanted. I loved the two main characters. I felt like I knew Eve and Jacob; they were so well portrayed. Eve, with her privilege and insecurities, and her so kind and loving heart. Jacob with his lack of trust and self-protectiveness.

Watching them fall into friendship and companionship and then love is just an absolute joy.

I can’t talk about this book without mentioning the representation here. Eve is clearly neurodivergent – being a woman, she’s never been diagnosed, but she comes to accept her own truths. She’s also not thin and is beautifully comfortable in her body with no self-consciousness. Jacob is diagnosed as having autism, and it’s also treated as just a different way of dealing with the world. Something that I have come to appreciate more and more in the last few years.

Also, the pansexual grandma is probably the absolute best and I’d love to see more with her and her partner anytime.

This is a mostly light-hearted romance, with lots of laughter and joy, and very little angst. There’s a moment of miscommunication and assumptions towards the end, but both characters are fighting towards each other – something that is quickly becoming one of my favorite romance tropes.

Act Your Age, Eve Brown is the first Talia Hibbert book I’ve ever read, but it damn sure won’t be the last. I loved this book from the first page and can’t wait to dive into more of Talia Hibbert’s backlist.
