It's been a while since Kir's book and this one, and for shame, I'd forgotten how impactful and beautiful Ms Morgan's writing it. It's an utter pleasure to read and Mine To Keep is everything I've come to expect from one of her books. Emotional, intense, breathtaking.
I'd been wondering what it's like for a man like Roman to fall and fall hard for a woman. I'd wondered what he'd be like and how he'd behave. Well, now I don't need to wonder anymore. Roman is large and in charge. He's a man to be reckoned with. He comes along, takes one look at the situation, at Bonnie and takes control. He's captivating, dominating, and not one to back down from a challenge, and Bonnie sure presents a challenge with her sass and her reticence. I love how protective he is and even how he assumes certain things as given and it's just a matter of Bonnie getting used to the idea and agreeing with him once he's made up his mind about something. He's definitely not a man to back down from what he wants.
Bonnie is great. She's full of sass and snark and fire, but she's also humble and modest. She's kept herself squeaky clean despite her family's less than stellar background and activities. She's honest, hardworking, and has so much integrity it certainly puts those of lesser worth to shame. I love that she stands by her family even when they are less than worthy of her and she loves them despite all that. Her bewilderment when it comes to Roman bulldozing himself into her life is adorable. I love that she's got plenty of fight and fire in her.
I think this is the end of the NOLA Knights series and I'm sad to see it end. The writing, stories, and characters have been wonderful and I'm loathe to say good-bye to them. Might be time for a reread when I get lonesome for Ms Morgan's brand of possessive, protective men.
This is my first book by Rhenna Morgan, but it's definitely not going to be my last. As Mine to Keep was a fast-paced, enjoyable story. That had a satisfying mix of romance and suspense. Along with likable characters; and although I didn't necessarily feel the chemistry between Roman and Bonnie, I certainly thought they made an interesting couple, and I loved the steely determination Roma1an had not only in pursuing Bonnie, but keeping her safe.
And with a storyline that flowed, plenty of sweetness and just a touch of drama. This was an engaging and easy read; and one I would happily recommend to others.
AHHH!! I am so obsessed with the Nola Knights series by Rhenna Morgan. The previous two books in the series have been amazing and I could not wait to read Roman's book! Roman and Bonnie were absolutely incredible!! I loved their chemistry, intensity and overall banter.
Roman was intense and protective. Like his Russian brothers in the previous two books he was dominant but with a heart of gold. I love how enthralled he was with Bonnie and the addicting suspense throughout the story.
Overall, I enjoyed this story and can not wait for more from this author in the future.
I would like to thank Netgalley and the publisher for an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. stars! ~Ratula
Oh man, do I love these over protective Russian men. Absolutely adored Roman and Bonnie is so lovely! Loved this story, this whole series!
Big sigh. Much love for this one.

If you enjoy alpha males and reading about their complete capitulation into love, this book is a perfect example.
How can you help not enjoying someone who looks out for your every move and watches over you? It makes you feel cherished and important. And that’s exactly what the author has delivered in this exciting story.
With her brother and father both missing, someone is after Bonnie now for what they think she knows. With no one to turn to except a good friend, she finds herself under the watchful eye of Mr. tall, dark, and stunningly muscular, yet brooding Russian.
The heat sparks off of them and even though they’re slow to realize their compulsion for each other, the author builds up the attraction with deliciously spicy results.
Every story I’ve read by this author has been sexy and intriguing. This is no different and I highly encourage you to check out the rest of the stories in the series for a sexy, similar strain. Morgan does alpha Mafia right!
I think what made this one so much fun to read was how Bonnie reaching out to Cassie for help seemed to take a life on it's own once the Russian's entered the picture. Bonnie really didn't know what to do and was so out of her element that panic was her base line. Cassie and Evie tried to help, but it seemed like the more they tried to calm Bonnie down all it did was wind her up more. It also didn't help that Roman seemed to take one look at Bonnie and decided she was his, so his moved were often high handed and he rolled over Bonnie, always keeping her safety in mind. I loved how it was an "old woman" Bonnie didn't know that was finally able to get through to her, to help her see that where she found herself was the best possible place for her, surrounded by friends and people that would 100% help her for nothing other than friendship and love.
It seemed like once Bonnie had that in her head things were smoother for her. She didn't bristle (as much) at some of Roman's ways, but more saw the underlying theme, he would do whatever it took to take care of her and always make sure she was comfortable, not matter the situation. Things got a bit sticky when they all learned what was going on with Bonnie's family and had to deal with the bad guys. I think Roman and his crew took the right path, it was genius in the way it would screw the bad guy over. It's just too bad things went a bit crazy. I hated what Bonnie had to go through, but she finally learned how much she was loved.
I really liked the ending to this one, liked that Bonnie was happy with her new life and all the open roads ahead of her.
Mine to keep is the second of the NOLA Knights books that I have read, although it is actually the third in the series. I believe that it is also linked to another series by Rhenna Morgan. Depite this, it works well as a standalone novel.
This is the story of Bonnie and Roman. Bonnie has had a hard life, her mother was killed after driving drunk. Her father has spent his whole life getting into all kinds of trouble and is now dying. Her brother isn't much better, being involved in hacking and all kinds of other criminal activity. When her brother and father are taken from their house, she turns to her friend Cassie for help. She knows that Cassie's husband is some kind of Rusian Maffia member and she soon meets his close friend Roman.
The attraction between Roman and Bonnie is instant and it's quite nice to see someone like Bonnie, who has clearly had a hard time of it all, actually having things go her way for once. Roman is a very dominating character, which isn't always my favourite thing, but they work well as a couple here.
I really enjoyed this read and didn't want to put it down and do other things (that I should have been doing) always a good sign. I'm looking forward to seeing if there's more to come in this series.
First off I want to say huge thank you to the publisher Carina Press-HARLEQUIN - Carina Press , the author Rhenna Morgan, and to NetGalley for inviting me to continue on with this series and letting me read and review it .This book had me hooked from the start and I thought my all time favorite male character was Kir ( from book 2 Hers to Tame ) but after reading this one I now think its Roman . This book had me laughing at some of the inter actions between Roman and Bonnie and I loved the inter action Roman had between his brothers and their family, and there's just something about this author's writing that makes you fell in love with the story and her characters.
Roman and Bonnie had exactly the story they needed. Roman needed some humor and light in his life, while Bonnie needed honesty, stability, and someone to have her back for a change. So when she runs into trouble that isn’t hers, but can easily become a problem, Roman jumps in by way of taking over.
I’ve really enjoyed this series because these guys are intense, but only dangerous to anyone except family if crossed. Roman definitely fits with this series, and not only because he’s one of the brothers. He fits because he’s got a heart of gold, a desire to pay his good fortune in life forward, and so much love to give. And Bonnie is definitely deserving of that love. She’s had it rough and her confidence is severely lacking when up against these guys, but this family by choice does what they do best: they show her how life can be with support and love by your side.
I’ll definitely continue reading this author’s works because she gives me a wonderful escape from reality without making it feel too much like fiction. And that’s quite a gift to me.
At the end of Cassie and Kir's story, I had an opportunity to read an excerpt from Bonnie and Roman's story. Right there, I was already dying to read the full story. Now that I did, I can say that once more, Rhenna Morgan did not disappoint.
Bonnie finds herself in a predicament when her brother and her father are both kidnapped while she hides in a different room. Not knowing what to do, she turns to her only friend, Cassie, who also happens to have connections with the Russian mafia. Enter Roman, an alpha male who's at first not so enthusiastic about helping Cassie's friend, but their lives are quickly intertwined. As danger and love grow, Roman will do everything he can to save Bonnie and her family.
This story is one hell of a ride. I love the fast-paced action, the somewhat awkward but sweet romance, and Bonnie's bluntness. Bonnie is herself, and she is a refreshing character. She is fierce, blunt, and independent. Roman is loyal, bossy, and attentive. Their love is a strange one, yet the chemistry is sizzling. I really enjoyed reading this story—an entertaining read.
Excellent add to the series! Loved Roman in this one. I always enjoy seeing the big bad alpha's meet their match. Ms Bonnie was going to give him trouble no matter what. I loved watching her learn to trust him.
A little suspense in this one but overall a great slow burn romantic read!
Mine To Keep is the latest addition to Rhenna Morgan’s “Mafia like” series and boy I have to say she keeps delivering on all the treasures here. I adore seeing it. I will say that this story was so magnificent in many ways and if you love alpha protective males in contemporary romance, what are you waiting for on this one or even this series? I have really admired the strength that we have come to see within this author’s writing. Its always interesting to see the way she will bring certain characters in the same frame as we see here. I will mention that even though this is mafia romance, I wouldn’t ever categorize it “Dark Romance” as most Mafia themed romances are also in that sub category within the romance genre. Its essential to understand that its definitely lighter toned. So if you are even curious about “mafia romance” this series is definitely a great way to get introduced into it with.
So the story….well its fire and crazy in many elements but simply fantastic. Bonnie Drummond is from the other side. She grew up with her father and brother and is always having to use her savings to get them out of trouble financially. She is the responsible one of the family, working towards getting to a better place, but they are definitely a drain on her both financially and emotionally. But her love for her family never allows her on giving up on them until….now. When her brother gets involved with some dangerous people in town, and both her brother and father are taken, she needs help. So she reaches out to her friend who is affiliated with the New Orleans Mafia family and what she never expected to find is friendship, acceptance and love with Roman Kozlov. But her life is in danger and she will need to learn to humble herself and open herself up to this new found family, before she loses all of whom she loves dearly.
Mine To Keep is a powerful story and quite addicting. The writing that Rhenna Morgan implements within this book is empowering on a variety of levels. The moment I picked this one up, I just couldn’t put this treasure down and was captivated by Roman and Bonnie’s romance. Bonnie, I will admit was difficult at times. Her pride and stubborness really get in the way and she has learn along the way to open herself to others. For so long, she has had to be closed off to others to protect herself, but with Roman and the others, we see her grow and accept the changes that are happening within her life. The romance that builds between between these two is beautiful and I just couldn’t help but be consummed by the level of emotion this author conveys within the story. Superb in every way.
I really, really like Rhenna Morgan's Mobster family. They are honorable and they have the best Russian accent. And, yay, Sergei and Kir also make an appearance in this third installment. Bonnie is trying to stay out of trouble all of her life. Which is difficult, while living on the wrong side of the tracks and having both her father and her brother working with all kinds of shady people.
So, when one day both her father and brother disappear, she doesn't really have someone to rely on. In desperation she contacts her co-worker Cassie, who is married to a Russian mobster. Maybe he can help her out. But since Kir is busy, Cassie takes Kir's brother (not by blood) Ronan with her.
Ronan doesn't know what to think of Cassie's friend Bonnie. She is wary of him, but she is also fiesty as hell. No one usually stands up to him, but she doesn. Even when she is scared for her brother and father. When it is clear that Bonnie has no one to take care of her, Ronan decides to help trying to find her family. Bonnie thinks she stepped into a fairy tale, when Ronan and Cassie take her into the fold of their family. And she can't wonder when the shoe is going to drop. But Ronan is determined to show her that she fits in with their Russian family, like, forever.
And what Ronan wants, Ronan gets. Although... he isn't used to the stubborn and feisty woman who uses the word No more often than not. A wonderful addition to the NOLA Nights series. I loved Ronan and Bonnie. Five out of five stars from me and a special thank you to Netgalley for providing the arc.
I have to admit this author took awhile to win me over but now I am hooked. I am also loving these NOLA bratva men. Their hearts are huge as well as their protective side. I have adored Roman from the start of this series and I wasn't sure whom was going to win his heart.
I wasn't sure about Bonnie but she grew on me in the end. I didn't mind her background what I didn't like was the mind games she played with Roman to test his loyalty and affection. If it wasn't for that I would have liked her even more.
I like how there is a suspense story happening parallel while the romance is blossoming between Bonnie and Roman. I also like how the suspense got resolved and how there was also some resolution with Bonnie's family. I'm not sure if this was the end of this series or if there is more to come. What I do know is that I can't wait to read more from this author.
It seems like ages since I read book 2 Hers to Tame (which I read and loved) and I have to admit I had forgotten how much I had liked that book, so I was ready for book 3.....
Bonnie is Cassie’s friend (MC from HTT)
Her life is crappy at the moment, two jobs to just make ends meet, she’s constantly having to bail out both her brother and father in whatever scheme they are embroiled in. She’s also trying to make a dent into the hospital bills her father has accrued (he’s waiting for a liver transplant)
Her life takes a nasty turn when both her father and brother have an altercation with an unseen foe (she’s hiding in her fathers bedroom at the behest of her brother) noises are heard, then silence, both of them are missing, and there is blood! The only person Bonnie can turn to is her new best friend Cassie (and hope it doesn’t end the start of a friendship)
Why Cassie you ask, well, she’s in love with a Russian Mafia Mobster (or Bratva) So Bonnie thinks that maybe Kir can help?! But is it asking for more trouble becoming involved with the Mafia? But what choice does she have?
Roman is happy with his life, an enforcer, a job he takes seriously, it’s gotten him out of the hell hole he lived in, so he’s grateful and a hard worker.
He’d love to have what Kir and Sergei (MC in book 1 His to Defend is his Pakhan or boss) have, but he know that won’t ever happen, so he will get his happiness within this family.
He becomes involved when Cassie gets a phone call asking her to go to a part of town he knew her husband would not like. (He’s away at the moment, and Roman takes his wife’s security very seriously) So he drives Cassie to see her friend.
Bonnie is amazing, she wants to walk away from her troublesome family, but she can’t do that, so she works a multitude of jobs to help. She has a quick brain, and an even quicker mouth. She’s not afraid to voice her opinion, but she’s a very private person.
And I thought I loved Kir, well move over dude, my heart belongs to Roman, he’s such a teddy bear, he’s a family man at heart, and a core of loyalty that is never in question. But cross him at your peril.
He’s also had a hard life, so he’s in a position to understand why Bonnie is so guarded. He also thinks that once Bonnie really gets to know him, she’s going to walk away (his mother left him at an orphanage, so why shouldn’t Bonnie?!)
The story is well put together, enough action to keep you entertained, it’s a pretty fast paced book once Roman and Bonnie go looking for her father and brother. Very descriptive, and it has it’s funny moments (like when he saw Cassie start to play matchmaker between Roman and Bonnie) I’ve not read the previous series (Men of Haven) and it doesn’t matter if you haven’t, but when we catch up with them, listening to how they found each couple, has me itching to read more.
Reading the interactions between Roman and Bonnie had me sighing with delight, he wants to take care of her, and she’s suspicious of his intentions, she’s also worried that If she gets to attached, it would break her when he left! Only by showing her his intentions does Bonnie slowly come round to his way of thinking.
Her brother and father are a liability! Both have taken the easy way out for years, but being Ki napped and beaten by their captors certainly shakes loose a few home truths! And when Bonnie becomes a bargaining chip, will Roman and his family pull the city apart to find her? You bet they do!
I’m going to have to go back to visit Cassie and Kir, and as I never read Sergei’s book it looks like a visit to Amazon 😉
Highly entertaining, and highly recommend you pick up this book.

I love Roman and Bonnie's story. When Bonnie is faced with her missing family she has no one to call except Cassie but she doesn't want to involve Cassie with her family. But that call was the best decision she could have made because it brought Roman into her life. Read the journey they take together. A dark knight in scuffed armor.
I received this ARC in exchange for an honest review.
The perfect finale to the NOLA Knights trilogy! I loved every moment and know I'll revisit this world again and again.
Bonnie is in trouble, asks Cassie for help, and ends up with Roman in her life. Once again great chemistry and a beautiful romance.
Roman had a tough upbringing and has lived in deep darkness. He doesn't believe he deserves light and happiness. Bonnie has walled off her heart and doesn't trust.
Following these two as they take risks, face their demons, and fall in love is a beautiful and sexy adventure. Add to that seeing the first two knights and their wives and the fun suspense element, which comes to a highly satisfying if a little sad conclusion, and you have a great finale to a great series.
I love how Rhenna Morgan's heroes have their own rules, their own values. Not all of their actions are accepted by society, but they are usually in protection of others. I can't wait to see where she takes us next.
Bonnie comes from a family of liars and drunks. They are always trying to make a quick buck. When her brother and father are taken, she asks her friend for help. Roman is from Russia and belongs to the Russian mafia. He grew up rough and now will do anything for his family. When someone attacks Bonnie, Roman takes her to his place and puts guards on her. Bonnie has been on her own since she was seventeen and is not used to somebody taking care of her. Will Bonnie be able to forget the criminal acts Roman commits or will she go back to being alone?
Loved this story. Suspense and romance. Bonnie is independent and tough. Roman is dangerous but with a big heart. Couple of sexy scenes.
* Voluntarily read and reviewed this for NetGalley *
Another great story from the NOLA Bratva! Roman is the enforcer for his Russian mafiya family, someone who is willing and able to do all to protect his family. When a friend of his brother’s wife is in trouble Roman intervenes. Bonnie is a straight arrow that comes from a crooked family. One day her father and brother disappear and she has no clue what to do. When she turns to a friend she gets more than she bargained for, much more. While slightly over handed Roman’s alpha tendencies are to protect Bonnie and solve the mystery surrounding her family, but can Bonnie deal with Roman and his lifestyle? The heat between these two is dynamite and they are like two magnets that cannot be pulled apart with plenty of steamy scenes (thank goodness for Fall weather). However, it’s the family aspect of this book that is amazing, as Roman shows Bonnie that there is nothing that one will not do for family. This book has a nice blend of romance, intrigue and alpha male hotness with a good blend of family mixed in. Along the way we see the familiar cast of characters from the other NOLA books and some from The Haven books too, but you can enjoy this book as a stand-alone (however I highly recommend reading the other books). 5 stars. I received an arc copy of this book from NetGalley for my honest review.
ARC received for review
I loved Roman a big, yummy, sexy Russian. Bonnie was in a bad place, and he rescues her. He helps her and her family and saves the day (along with help from his friends). Why can't authors give me an epilogue a little in the future with the rest of the NOLA knights and the Haven boys?
