I am not sure why this book was ever compared to Election or Normal People, but it is definitely not even close. I did not really find anything really compelling about this book and did not get the dark humor elements at all. I really felt that the writing needed more description and to decide where it wanted to go and what it wanted to be. The characters felt very flat and disconnected. Thanks for the ARC, NetGalley.

This book was not for me. The pacing was incredibly slow and the writing was dull. The storyline was interesting, but the reading experience was not really enjoyable.

This is not my usual genre,  however I wanted to take the opportunity to read something from outside my norm. And I am glad I did!! Thank you for  opening up my mind to something totally different. Characters were so well developed that I felt as though I knew them. I love when a book draws you into the story and it feels like you are living it with them.
