It is a supernatural based mystery with an 'x-files'esc department investigating. The basic concept and ideas were great. The conclusion of the plot however does not suit the build up.

The Underground Mystery was a disappointment to me. The writing seemed rushed. There were too many short, blunt sentences. The plot was not compelling. Thanks, NetGalley, for the ARC.

Honestly I read about 4 pages into this and had to quit. There. Were..
No complete. Sentences in the. Pages I. Read. Basically, what I just typed is exactly how this book reads.........absolutely no complete sentences. The spacing issues were horrible as well. I sincerely hope there is much editing in the future for this book. In the meantime, I just can’t do it. I can’t figure out if there was some sort of issue that occurred in the transfer of the book or if the writer actually writes like this. If so, bless his heart. I really hate to give this book a rating since I didn’t read it but net galley requires me to do so. It’s quite possible that this may be a good read but I’ll never know.

I received this ARC via netgalley. Normally the ARCs I read are almost identical to the finished product. I am hoping that this book has more edits coming to it before release. I am therefore ignoring the numerous typos, spacing issues, and so forth in my review, hoping that the final copy will not contain them.

The conclusion of the plot however does not suit the build up. I want to be able to give this more stars, however it felt like the author needed to maybe take a walk and then do some final tweaking to the story to smooth the rough edges together.
