As, with Mrs. Abramson’s previous suspense novels, this one will also have readers reading all night to discover the ending! This book starts off at a fast pace and doesn’t stop until the explosive ending. This book was very enjoyable to read. I loved the concept of the guardians and how they work to fight against the evil in this world. I have liked all of her books that I have previously read and loved this one as well. This book focuses on Elle and an investigation that she is trying to get to the bottom of. After an unexpected tragedy where she knows someone is after her due to all of her digging, she goes on the run. Unbeknownst to her, the guardians head her way to help her. Her “ghost” Nolan’s goal is to protect her, but he realizes that there may be a connection between them. Readers will have to read this to find out what happens to them both. This book is written very well. The words flow throughout and as the scenes change it is a smooth transition. The research that was done for this book is apparent and the topic was a fascinating subject! I highly recommend this book! I know you will not be disappointed!

Romance, clean, suspense; series but stand alone read
Elle Jameson's suspicion of a crime as she works undercover at an Air Force base abroad. Her subsequent rescue by The Guardians has her running and trying to escape danger with Ghost/Nolan to try to keep her secrets safe and undercover who is involved and behind the murder of her sister and what is going to be done with the secrets she has uncovered. Perfect blend of intense action, moments of digging to uncover the secrets and connections to the criminals, and of course, the attraction between Elle and Nolan. Loved seeing glimpses of other characters from past novels to support the story line in this one. Perfectly paced and detailed, and loved all subterfuge, action, and ov course the romance. Great characters, side characters, and perfect setting abroad after the previous novel set in the US. T.H.A. knows how to right fun, fast paced, action packed fiction with a fun romance in the back ground. More of a 4.5 for me as a reader, but rounding up!
I received an ARC from the publisher via NetGalley in exchange for a fair and honest review. My opinions are my own.

This is a fast paced romantic thrill ride. Elle, an investigative journalist, has discovered something that someone wants desperately to keep hidden. A lunch with her sister takes a very dangerous turn and Elle finds herself on the run. Nolan, one of the 'guardians' is sent in to keep her alive and safe. Sparks fly as they try to find out who wants to kill Elle and where the missing drone and missiles before something catastrophic happens. I loved Elle and Nolan's chemistry and their many adventures in this book.

QUICK REVIEW:
Enjoyable suspense! Government conspiracy, intrigue, and a touch of romance. Pretty well written although the male protagonist really didn't seem quite so professional in how quickly he fell for the female protagonist. There was a hint of the first Jason Bourne movie to the plot which didn't bother me because I loved that movie. I would recommend this.

"On the Run" by Traci Abramson was a good read. This novel had a lot of action and a few twists throughout the way. There were parts of this book that were a little hard to follow, but I think that is because of the author's research and knowledge on the subject. I was very impressed with this. The characters were very well developed and very likeable! All in all, this was a good read.

I received this book from the publisher through NetGalley for my honest opinion.

I am a fan of Traci Hunter Abramson from reading her Saint Squad series. I was thrilled to get an advance copy of her latest book. The Guardian series are stand alone books but with some cross over characters from the Saint Squad. It involves an elite team of "Ghosts" who help out in international situations. (Think elite CIA operatives.)

Ell is investigating a breach in security in accessing drone controls. Her uncle, a 3 star general puts her undercover at a military base in Germany. When lunching her sister is poisoned and Ell flees. The Guardians intercept her and assign Nolan to keep her safe. Together with other Guardians they try to figure out the target for drone strikes and who is behind the plot.

Abramsom creates smart, well devleoped characters. The action unfolds quickly as the Ell's life is in danger and they are constantly on the run. I love the Baltic Sea locations of Helsinki, Tallinn and Riga. I think of these books as thrillers with a romance. (How serious can you get in two weeks.) The book slows a little because so much of the story is research investigation. This to be done via computer and you have to believe the Guardians have access to all the data bases they come across. While background investigation might be realistic to convert operations it isn't always exciting to read. I appreciate Abamson books are clean for language, sex and contain only PG-13 violence.

Thank you to NetGalley, Covenant Communications and the author for a ARC ebook in exchange for an honest review.

On the Run
A Guardian Novel
by Traci Hunter Abramson

Covenant Communications
Christian | Mystery & Thrillers | Romance
Pub Date 12 Oct 2020

I am reviewing a copy of On the Run through Covenant Communications and Netgalley:

Elle Jameson has a knack for uncovering the truth, as one of the top journalists in the nation. When a promising lead points to corruption on a German military base. Elle anticipates a straightforward assignment. But then she stumbles upon a deadly conspiracy beyond anything she’s faced before, and her scrutiny does not go unnoticed. She knows too much, and they can’t allow her to live. With no idea where to turn for help, she does the only thing she can: she runs.

The Guardians are a team of elite undercover agents, have one one job: safeguard those under their protection. As a new guardian, Nolan has just received his first solo assignment which was to help a young woman who had survived an attempt on her life. But after only minutes of making contact with the beautiful journalist, their location is discovered. A game of cat and mouse spanning the globe as the two work to stay ahead of a determined assassin. Nolan does his best to fight to buy Elle time to complete her investigation, and what she discovers is a plot that threatens the very fabric of America. Nolan and Elle are a desperate race against evil, Nolan and Elle are the only ones who can prevent global catastrophe.

I give On the Run five out of five stars!

Happy Reading!

On the Run by Traci Hunter Abramson, 296 pages. Covenant Communications, 2020. $17.
Language: G (0 swears, 0 “f”); Mature Content: PG; Violence: PG13
BUYING ADVISORY: HS - ADVISABLE
AUDIENCE APPEAL: AVERAGE
Going undercover and trying to expose wrongdoings is not always as rewarding as 27-year-old Elle hoped it would be, especially when the most recent secret kills her sister and sends Elle herself running for her life. Not knowing what else to do, Elle chooses to trust people who call themselves guardians to keep her safe. But as they gather more intel to find the antagonist, safety starts to seem like an impossible goal.
I am a long-time fan of Abramson, and this newest book is just as good as the others I’ve read. While some of the details might go over my head or be skimmed over, I’m impressed by Abramson’s attention to the little things in plans for both the antagonists and the protagonists, including the expected action scenes as well as the boring research that, realistically, has to be done. Of course, through the suspense of why Elle is on the run, Abramson also threads a romance that neatly ties up the end, giving readers the closure they need to finally breathe again. The violence rating is for gun use and murder.

Thrilling, absolutely thrilling!

I was sure exactly what to expect when I opened this book but I was amazed. The characterization, the action, the suspense... On the Run is a book that I can imagine as a movie. The plot is completely realistic and there are turns at every corner.

An absolute masterpiece.

On The Run is a romantic-thriller that runs non-stop from beginning to end.

Elle, a freelance investigative reporter, is having lunch with her sister when suddenly her sister chokes and dies - and thus begins her run for life. She finds unexpected help from Ghost, a member of a secret group designed to carry out missions too sensitive for the CIA or FBI. Their escape will take them from Germany to Switzerland, France, Lithuania, Latvia, and Finland. The reader will be exposed to public, artistic, and historic landmarks as they seek to run to

safety and discover the motive and the individuals seeking their death and attempting to bring corruption to the center of the US government. It would be a crazy two weeks.

I could not put the book down. I stayed awake longer hours than needed - but was not disappointed for doing so. Easily found to be a five-star read.

I always have high expectations when reading Traci Hunter Abramson, and this book did not disappoint. The action starts from almost the first page and continues throughout the book. It was a great read. I was immediately pulled into the plot and couldn't put it down. I highly recommend this book and will be buying it for my own personal library.

Gripping from the start!

Abramson wastes no time in getting right to the action. In the opening chapter we are introduced to Elle and her sister, but disaster strikes very quickly, leaving Elle on the run.

Enter the Guardians. Tasked with protecting Elle, largely thanks to her sister's connections, they do their best to whisk her out of sight and keep her safe.

Nolan and Elle are both likeable characters with strengths and weaknesses that many readers will identify with, despite their elite skills.

As usual with Abramson's books, it was difficult to put this one down. Meeting a new guardian was great as we got to see more glimpses into how they work in the field.

This series would make a great action movie saga.

This book didn't stop once it got going. The suspense was steady and drove the narrative. Traci Hunter Abramson was masterful in this latest book in her guardians series. I will admit I haven't read a guardian's book before now, but I will be changing that shortly.

I think my heart was racing through most of the story and trying to unravel the mystery was enough to keep my brain going. There was some romance, but it was secondary to the larger story. Who was out to get Elle? and why?

This story was also fantastic in the way it led you through and revealed just enough to keep you hooked and guessing. If you love suspense, with just a hint of romance this is the book for you. Add in a dash of witness protection and this one is definitely a winner.

Traci Hunter Abramson kept me guessing until the end. The twists were plentiful and there was nothing overdone here. Elle and Nolan were a great team and both were brilliant and had something to contribute. This wasn't about a guy saving a girl, the girl also saved herself and him. It was a true team.

I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my honest review.

I've always enjoyed suspense genre novels but as I've gotten older and started having children I became more suggestive to content. Unfortunately suspense novels are often filled with language and violence that make them hard to enjoy.

This is my first novel by Traci Hunter Abramson and I was pleasantly surprised. It is apparently the 4th book in a series but it can be read as a stand alone book and make perfect sense. The action was plentiful but never overly violent or graphic. There was also no language to try and mentally sensor.

Elle and Nolan worked well together. The storyline was well thought out and kept me in suspense throughout. The "romance" between the two was a little forced and didn't add much to the story but since it's not a romance book I didn't care.

Overall I enjoyed my time reading this book.

WOW! This book is full of edge of your seat suspense. This is the first book I've read in this series and I loved it. Now I want to go back and read the first three. If you are looking for a well written clean suspense filled book, grab this one. Thank you Covenant Communications via NetGalley for the ARC copy of this book. All opinions expressed are my own.

I read book 1 in the series, didn't read books 2 and 3, but it didn't affect my understanding of this story.

The book starts with a tragedy for the main character, Elle, which snowballs into forcing her on the run. One of the guardians is appointed to help her, and from there it's almost non-stop action to the end.

Elle and Nolan are thrown together, living in close quarters and spending a lot of time with each other, as he tries to protect her while she completes the investigation. Their relationship turns into friendship and then into something more, despite the problems they face almost constantly.

I liked how the obstacles were solved and the ending was very sweet.

I received a copy from the publisher through NetGalley and this is my honest opinion.

When her uncle had sent her undercover as an army lieutenant, she had expected to find some evidence of misappropriation of funds or missing supplies, but uncovering a possible unauthorized access to highly sensitive material lifted her investigative sense to a new level. This wasn’t a story to be written. If her suspicions were right, this was espionage.

Traci Hunter Abramson is an author I can always rely on for a great suspense novel!

On the Run can be read as a stand alone, but I would recommend reading (at least) the other books in the Guardian series. One thing I LOVE about Traci’s books is that a lot of characters overlap in her series. I love seeing them pop up throughout all of her books!

Elle and Noah are a dynamic duo. Their chemistry and compatibility for dealing with stressful situations was so fun to read. The suspense starts right off in chapter 1 and keeps you hooked throughout the book.

The clues throughout the book are expertly placed so that you can foreshadow only a little in advance. I enjoyed all of the in’s and out’s this author knows and has researched for spy novels dealing with government protocols, witness protection programs and espionage!

If you have read and have liked any of her other series I highly recommend this book! Traci is an author that constantly delivers a great book each and every time. If you haven’t read her work, but like conspiracy theories, government intrigue, suspense, a little bit of romance and a page turner I would also highly recommend!
