If I learned that Jill McCorkle were writing a cookbook, I would read it. If I learned she were writing professional obituaries, I would read them. This book is especially insightful. I read this when my own mother was looking at end-of-life issues, and I was able to laugh at some of the circumstances WE were facing. Along with the humor was an adventure story.

A lovely book about growing older that got lost in the shadow of another book that shared the same title. This was an excellent book discussion choice, with characters one could relate to and a thoughtful exploration of the issues they were dealing with. I recommend this book often to people who enjoy a contemporary setting, relateable characters, and no violence.
