Admittedly it’s been a while since I read the first book, but there’s no recap at the beginning of this to hint at how the first one ended. I tried to piece together the world and the magic system, but I struggled to connect it all together. The conflict felt repetitive as she kept reminding herself of her goal, but overall I still found it an enjoyable read.
I received an advance review copy for free from the publisher via Netgalley and I am leaving this review voluntarily.

Unfortunately I dnf'd this book at 47%, it was just dragging and I could not bring myself to care. I only kind of enjoyed book one so I wasn't going to force myself to continue something that couldn't sell me on itself

This book was a rollercoaster of emotions for me! I love a good sequel and this definitely delivered on the action and high stakes scenarios! If I could read it for the first time again, I'd be happy!

As much as I never wanted this series to end, I appreciate when a story comes to a natural conclusion instead of forcing it to go on and on.
I did like the first book better and wish we saw some of that growth Amora goes through in book 1 continue into book 2.

I really enjoyed this! There was a good amount of romantic tension, intrigue, adventure, and character growth. I was crying at the end due to a certain plot point and while it makes me sad, I can respect the direction of the story. I'll keep this author on my list and recommend her to our teens!

What an imagination! I absolutely loved all the descriptions in this duology, and the adventurous feel throughout. I can't think of another author who describes things as vividly and vibrantly as Adalyn Grace. I'll definitely be checking out more books she puts out.
3.75 rounded up to 4

I sadly didn’t love this sequel as much as I thought I would. It just felt overly long and really hard to get through. I ultimately just wanted more, like more romance, higher stakes, more plot, everything.

I couldn't wait to delve into this book! Mermaids? Magic? And a whole lot of shenanigans!? Sign me up!! I would 100% recommend this book to anyone who loves the sea and a strong female lead

While I do enjoy a grey character, it was a struggle to read and sympathize with Amora. She was frustrating, repetitive and maybe I am insensitive but her constant struggle to come to terms with the last events were just so hard to swallow.
The plot as a whole was pretty interesting and it kept me on my toes. I do think that some parts were a little bit far fetched but it was entertaining.
The ending left me feeling kind of weird. While it was somewhat unexpected, I surely didn't want it to end like that, it felt just a bit anticlimactic.

As one who adored the first book in this duology, I was a little disappointed here. I got the sense that this series maybe should've been one very long book vs two normal length books. An lot of the beautiful character development that I adored in the first book was lost here and I found myself wishing there was more plot. While the world remained incredible, there was less of a reason to explore it and I pined for more.

This book is great! Would definitely recommend. Thanks so much to NetGalley and the publisher for the ARC.

I really liked this book and how she got over someone. I enjoyed the romance and the friendships. I liked she came to enjoy her family. I liked that she was able to get over a boy and move on with her life. Great story.

I couldn’t get into this one but others have enjoyed it and I will say it just might not have fit me.

I absolutely adored this book just as much as the first. It was a perfect ending to this and I lived the descriptions of this world.

As a second book in a duology All the Tides of Fate lived up to the first installment. You continue to see Amora's growth into a leader, and learn more about the different types of magic in the world Adalyn Grace has created. Lessons about greatest wants vs. greatest needs are explored as Amora struggles to do what is right for her kingdom. I greatly enjoyed this book, and wouldn't mind reading more based in the same world.

This was the conclusion that I wanted for the All the Stars and Teeth duology. The language is lush and vivid, the characters are fully realized, and the plot brought a satisfying conclusion to the ending of the first installment. I would say that I recommend re-reading All the Stars and Teeth before picking this up if it's been a while, since so much happened in the first book and this begins fairly recently afterward. Overall, highly recommend to anyone who enjoyed the first book or loves island settings
Thank you to Netgalley and the publisher for providing me with an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This is a satisfying sequel to All the Stars and Teeth. The world building and character development are strong, and the system of magic is both alluring and original. The plot moves along at an engaging pace, and it was a pleasure to explore the other islands in the universe. There were just enough twists and turns to make the book as exciting as the first.

I absolutely loved this book. It was an emotional journey and I felt like it ended perfectly. Overall, I enjoyed this book and fans will love the bittersweet ending as this action packed duology comes to a close.
Good for anyone who likes:
• vivid worldbuilding
• pirates, mermaids & sea adventure
• unique magic system
• found family
• and romance

I really loved Book 1 and while I think this was a decent conclusion for the series, I wasn’t in love with it. I kept thinking we would be getting a bigger world, more chemistry between the characters, and a more high stakes conflict. Instead we focused mostly on Amora’s grief journey. I appreciated the depiction of grief and the immense pressure she was under, but I also can’t say I enjoyed her character. Her headstrong stubbornness was at an all-time high for most of the book that I got really irritated with her at times. She refused to trust or listen to her crew and expected them to just follow orders, when truthfully she has no right to rule considering the events that unfolded in the first book.
I didn’t NOT enjoy this. There were many moments I really liked. I still loved the crew and the visits to the islands, but I was expecting to be even more enchanted with the magic in book 2 and we got even less magic (from Amora’s pov) so I was left a bit disappointed.
I still think it’s a duology for those who want great seafaring adventure and magic.

All the Tides of Fate had such beautiful writing, the flow of the story had the perfect pacing and I was very excited to be joining the Keel Haul crew on another adventure.
I did struggle at the beginning of the book though, only able to recall the barest of details about All the Stars and Teeth. It needed some more recaps dropped in it and things explained a bit better. As the story progressed I was able to piece some of it together, but I know even now I’m missing some big details.
What I really loved about the first book was how we got to truly see this world that was created. In book two we get to continue that journey and see some of the places we didn’t before. The worldbuilding was fantastic and I felt like I could really see some Avatar influences in the story. We also got to explore what multiple magics meant for these places and people that maybe weren’t thriving when we last saw them.
I felt like the plot was a tad all over the place at times. I know Amora needed to right the wrongs of her ancestors and restore soul magic, but I was kinda confused why one couldn’t go down without the other. Why did she need her magic back to tell the truth? It was all wrapped up extremely fast and a tad too conveniently. I also had a hard time believing Amora would waver between being selfish or putting her kingdom above all. We know she’s a good ruler and loves her people, so her “dilemma” just wasn’t believable.
The romance was pretty much nonexistent except for two scenes and I missed it. Amora and Bastian had this connection in book one that was lost in the second book. Understandable due to the whole soul splitting thing, but I missed it nonetheless.
While I loved All the Tides of Fate, I found it unnecessary. It was a good book but redundant. I felt the plot could’ve been wrapped up in the first book if it had been a bit longer. That being said I did still really enjoy it. The Keel Haul crew is one of my favorite friend groups and they had such great chemistry and love for each other. The story was fresh and well written with a great adventure that I didn’t want to put down.
