I received a copy of the book from Netgalley to review. Thank you for the opportunity.
A nice idea behind this story but the romance didn't sit well with me as the love interest was quite domineering and controlling.
An OK read.
"Hope", by Kathleen Lawless, is a novella about a young widow who is looking for love with a man from her past. Hope's story seems to fit into the "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" series by this author, which I haven't read. At times, I was a little confused by the character's origin stories, so it would have helped me to read the other stories in advance of this one. I thought the romance between Hope and Percy was pretty cute, but Percy's continued insistence that he knew what was best for Hope was rather annoying. Overall, it was a quick read with a cute romance.
Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC. All opinions are my own.
I enjoyed reading this book. The main character was interesting . She had been recently bereaved and wanted to achieve a list of things. She visited a small town which had been talked about by her friend Percy. She meets him again and we find out what happens to them. I recommend that you read this book.
