This comic has charming illustrations that carry its overall themes of standing up for yourself and the power of friendship. While I was unaware that this was made for younger audiences, I think adults can appreciate the universal messages in this graphic novel. I was also unaware that this was the second book in a series and wish I could have read the first installment first. Regardless, this installment is easy to understand. I would recommend this book to younger readers (middle school) for its themes, reading level, and illustration style.
