Although I’m not a very accomplished pianist, it’s been a long time since I’ve played music for those beginning their piano playing journey. This book is, indeed, intended for those who are at the very beginning of their learning. It offers easy to play extractions of the main themes and highlights from Vivaldi’s beloved work and while it can’t begin to satisfy anyone who hopes to hear more than that, it does offer an opportunity for inspiration and aspiration to achieve more complexity and fullness in one’s playing. I especially appreciated the accompanying sonnets.
