This was a funny little romantic comedy. I loved the setting. The storyline was original and fun. I found the two main character's journeys a bit frustrating and at times a bit confusing. The whole idea of them being afraid of the press because of a private incident years ago irritated me a bit. Other than that I feel like people would really enjoy this touch of magic and some whimsical fun.
I love this book so much and can't wait to read more in this series. Such a fun take! I was excited because my husband got this for me as a bday gift because I loved it so much!
I loved this book so much. It was a contemporary romance, plus it was a fairytale. I live for fairytales, I love them so much. So, this was a perfect book for me. I would definitely re-read it again sometime in the future. I thought it was a cute book filled fairytale romance. I recommend it to anyone who loves cute easygoing romances with a fairytale twist, I really enjoyed this book and I believe anyone who reads it will enjoy it as well.

Thank you to NetGalley and Zebra Books for inviting me to read Fairy Godmothers, Inc. and providing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Fairy Godmothers, Inc., is the story of second chances, luck, and love, all through Lucky Fujiki and Ransom Payne. A story of second chances and believing in yourself, this is such a cute romance and a perfect play on our fairytales that we are used to. Sometimes, in a fairytale, luck might not be on your side.
I gave Fairy Godmothers, Inc. 3.5 stars, enjoying the aspect of the adorable fairytales of cinderella, princess and the frog, and sleeping beauty, as well as many more into Fairy Godmothers, Inc. I loved that second chance romance between Lucky and Ransom and how even though they weren't together anymore, they still loved each other. And, besides this cute fairytale, a fake marriage is upon us between our two main characters.
I found it interesting the aspect of Lucky having bad luck and how even though she loved Ransom deeply, they struggled with finding each other and also discovering themselves. While I enjoyed their romance, I feel like the plot of their romance was lacking. While I'm so happy that they discovered themselves in the book, there was just something missing from their connection.
You could definitely tell that they had chemistry, but it just didn't seem as strong as I would have liked. Yes they were cute and I think that in the end, their romance and the way they finally came together was cute, I just found that there was a lack of chemistry and I do wish that there was more chemistry and passion to their relation ship.
Thank you again to NetGalley and Zebra Books for providing me an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
I thought this book was going to be so good based on the description. The writing wasn't my style and I couldn't really relate well with the characters.
I did finish this book but it was hard. I lost focus easily and it took me much longer to finish than usual.
Thank you netgalley for the ARC
This was a funny one to review. I liked the premise and the writing. I didn't love the characters but they grew on me. I will look forward to seeing more from this author, though!
I went into this not really knowing what to expect, and at first I was pleasantly surprised. I liked the characters, the quirky setting, pretty much everything. The pacing was perfect, the writing was great, and I really thought I would finish this and go straight into another book by this author. But then we were told what pivotal moment from the past caused these two people to break up the first time, and it was just so juvenile and silly, it ruined the whole experience. I could no longer suspend my disbelief, which is saying a lot since this is a book about literal fairy godmothers meddling in their charges' lives. This isn't a hard-hitting contemporary, it's a light-hearted whimsical romance story. And I just could not get on board with the reason why they broke up in the past. So I ended up DNF'ing this book.
That said, I'm definitely going to give this author another try. I really enjoyed the writing and I have high hopes that I would really enjoy other characters from this author. But in this case, it was probably a case of "it's not you, it's me".
I received this book from NetGalley as an eArc in exchange for a review.
Fairy Godmothers, Inc. follow our two main characters Lucky and Ransom. Former lovers are setup by their Godmothers to get fake married in order to restore magic and revive the Godmother's town. Little do they know this is all a plot by the Godmothers to rekindle the love. However, Lucky is well the most unlucky person ever and chaos follow wherever she goes and well that holds true for the fake wedding.
This book was an odd mix of some smut with cute fairytale romances. The juxta positioning was kind of off putting. If the smut had been taken out I would've rated this book higher.
Let’s be real – in today’s world? The business of being a fairy godmother is probably quite a bit more difficult than it used to be. I mean, how many people even still believe in that sort of magic? Well, if nothing else, these fairy godmothers aren’t about to take anything lying down – quite the opposite in fact: meddling is, after all, the USP of Fairy Godmothers, Inc.!
I was offered an ARC by Netgalley in exchange for a review. All opinions are strictly my own.
The story
If love is the source of all the magic in the universe, and the town of Ever After, Missouri, is the epicenter of enchantment, then the locals are in dire need of a reboot. At least according to resident fairy godmothers Petunia, Jonquil, and Bluebonnet. Their solution? Blow a bit of fairy dust in the direction of those in need of romance…what could possibly go wrong?
SOME KIND OF AWFUL…
Lucky Fujiki’s first name is a cosmic joke. Her luck is so bad, even the number seven steers clear of her. But when her adorable godmothers ask for a favor, Lucky can’t say no–even if she can already feel the bad juju waiting to strike. And her mission is even worse than she imagined: to promote Ever After as a wedding destination by faking a marriage to her first love and long-time ex, Ransom Payne–he of the Embarrassing Incident that neither of them will ever live down…
OR ALL KINDS OF WONDERFUL?
Ransom Payne has spent years building an impressive new reputation for himself, and now his godmothers want him to pretend to wed the one girl he’d like most to forget? Sure, weddings in Ever After could be a huge boon for his chocolate business, but risking more up-close-and-personal time with Lucky? Considering the stakes, it’s a curse he’ll have to bear, at the risk of being humiliated–or perhaps, bewitched…
The opinion
I have to be honest – the start of this book made no sense to me whatsoever. To the point that I put it down, postponed reading it, tried again, and then repeated that cycle – like 5 times.
Once I made my way through the first 2chapters though? It was actually quite enjoyable – I mean, it required a massive suspension of disbelieve, but then again, I’ve been reading Marvel comics like nobody’s business, so that shouldn’t really have been too hard, you know?
It was quite interesting to me how the very basic concept of fairy tales was kind of turned upside down in this story. After all – we all know the classic structure: princess is lost, prince saves princess, happily ever after. But what if the prince doesn’t feel secure enough to do the saving? What if the princess has already determined that the current – negative – situation is just all she’s ever had?
That’s the main thing that often bugs me about fairy tales, actually – the lack of agency its characters often have. In Fairy Godmothers, Inc. that agency is exactly what the characters have to decide to choose – that they will be together, in spite of whatever outside (magical) powers have to say about that.
The rating: 3.5/5
If you’re in the mood for a fairy tale, and its guaranteed happy ending, but you want to see people choosing happiness as well? Then Fairy Godmothers, Inc. is 100% the book for you!

Absolutely adorable! I love everything about this story! It was a great, beautiful book and a quick read.
Fairy Godmothers Inc
This book is a fun read! You can believe in magic. You can live in a land of make-believe.
Sweet, funny and enjoyable romance that felt like a great Hallmark movie in a cold winter night with a big cup of tea next to you.
It was my first book by the author but won’t be the last as I really enjoyed the writing and the story overall.
Very grateful to the publisher for my review copy
Loved it!! Great book that will have you feeling all the emotions. Definitely one to check out for a weekend read.
This book is so cute. It reminds me of a modern and sassy Hallmark movie. It´s a feel-good light reading full of funny and sweet moments. The characters are likable and you can easily fall in love with them. This was my first book by Saranna DeWylde, and I can´t wait to read more from her!
Pour me some girlie wine Mr. R&R bought for my “smutty book” 😂 and pair it with this adorable read!

✨This read had all the elements of why we love fairy tales as kids and why we love romance novels as adults. Great escapism, enemies-to-lovers- trope, and a bit of pixie dust... or in this case, fairy godmothers! 🧚♀️
The premise and the blurb of the story seemed incredibly cute and I was super excited to dive into the story, Unfortunately, I didn't find myself very invested in the main characters as much as I would've liked. I would however still like to try Saranna DeWylde's future works as her writing is wonderful!
The premise of this book is so cute, and the setting of Ever After has a right-sized amount of whimsy.
The chemistry between the leads fell a little flat for me, but I’ll still look forward to checking out what Saranna DeWylde writes next.
Many thanks to the author, publisher, and NetGalley for sharing this book with me. All thoughts are my own.
I really wanted to love this book. Fairy tales come to life in the town of Ever After, with three Fairy Godmothers creating a wedding planning (meddling!) business to save magic. What's not to love? I really enjoyed the takes on the fairy tale characters, and I think this first book sets up for some potentially good storylines in future books with these characters. My main struggle with this book was the (main) storyline between Lucky and Ransom. Is this a light RomCom? Steamy? Sexy? It felt like the writing kept changing and left me off balance.
The psinopsis sounded interesting but im sad to say that I didnt enjoyed the read. The characthers where likable even thogh some of their reactions to some situations where kind of frustraiting and i liked the writing style of the author. The thing the main characters based their feud whas ridiculous and kind of childish.
I’d like to take a moment to thank the publishers and netgalley for an eARC in exchange of an honest review.
This one just didn’t hit it for me. The main characters were super bland and boring, especially Lucky. She doesn’t really have any personality other than being unlucky and that made me really disinterested in her.
The fairy godmothers talked in a really unnatural and stilted way and I just couldn’t get into this. I tried multiple times but it just felt unfinished and rough.
