Definitely a five star read. An emotional story with heartwarming and believable characters. I loved reading this novel, and actually I've read all of Jess Ryder's books. One comment: I didn't care for the book title but otherwise everything was fabulous!

The Night Away by Jess Ryder is a compulsive and twisty read that I devoured in a single afternoon. Ms Ryder has become a must read author for me, and this one certainly did not disappoint.

Amber and George are devoted parents to their seven month old daughter, Mabel. But Amber is struggling with the demands of motherhood, and George is at his wit's end. When Amber's sister Ruby offers to babysit so the couple can reconnect on a weekend away, the unthinkable happens, and little Mabel disappears without a trace. Someone has been watching and waiting for an opportunity to take what they believe to be theirs, and will stop at nothing to accomplish the task. But as secrets are revealed, it is anyone's guess as to who is responsible for plunging Amber and George into every parent's worst nightmare,

This is a gripping whodunit that kept me guessing until the very end. 4.5 stars

Many thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for this ARC.

I started this book late on a Friday night and stayed up until I could finish it. This book is unputdownable!

The first chapter of this book is one of the creepiest things I have ever read. You learn of a stalker but not who the stalker is but just that she is in a children's playground wishing to interact with the children. These first few paragraphs will stick with me for a long time.

Amber and George are a couple who have been together since their teens and have a 10 month old little girl named Mabel. Amber is suffering from post-partum depression and her sister Ruby offers to stay with Mabel while Amber and George take a night away. The following weekend has Ruby, babysitting again. And Mabel has disappeared with no sign of a break-in. Who could have taken the baby? Every single person in this book has secrets and all of them point to Mabel.

The Night Away has the reader doing double takes at each turn in this book. There are so many twists that I felt like I had whiplash at the end. Again, unputdownable. I loved this book.

I finished this book in one sitting.
It had me gripped from the very beginning but I almost wanted to stop a few time because Amber is a truly horrible! horrible! human! There is not one nice thing I can stay about her. Actually other than Ruby (and the baby) there is not one likeable character in the entire book (and the mother!!! My god!!! What a fucking bitch!!!)

But it kept my interest and i needed to know who did it. Was I wowed by the outcome? No if I'm honest. It was a weak and disappointing revelation. But still a good read

Oh my, what a book. Little Mabel goes missing while her aunt is watching her for the weekend. Mom is supposedly at a yoga retreat, dad is on a business trip. Accusations and blame are thrown at everyone. The ending was quite a shocker.
This book is fast paced, never a dull moment. This was one that I could not put down.. My first read by this author, but will definitely not be my last.
Many thanks to Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book.

Amber and George book a night away to give Amber a break from their baby Mabel and to spend some quality time together, leaving Amber's sister Ruby to babysit. What they don't know is that someone is plotting something and has been watching Amber and Mabel for a awhile... Things go really wrong the following weekend when both Amber and George are away on separate trips. Ruby, babysitting again, is shocked to find the cot empty and no trace of Mabel, and no sign of a break-in. Who could have taken the baby? It soon becomes apparent that everyone has secrets they are hiding, and that one of these may explain who is behind the abduction... Can Mabel be found before it is too late...?

This was the first book by Jess Ryder I have read and it won't be the last - I absolutely loved it. The story was gripping and well-written, keeping you hooked and in suspense all the way through. The twists and turns were fantastic and you are kept guessing until the end. I completely recommend this book.

I thought this book was a little predictable but overall I did enjoy it.
The beginning of the book starts with the stalker/kidnapper’s thoughts and actions which are very creepy. There are chapters with this thrown in throughout the book. I enjoyed the writing style. I thought this was a suspenseful, well written book with some twists.

Ryder will give you a ride to the deepest secrets of a marriage. Brilliant.
Are you married? Having a baby is so awesome, haven't it? But what would you do if someone wants to steal your baby from you? What if someone is watching your every move, making notes of where you go and at what time to which place? Creepy, isn't it?
I was intrigued in Ryder's latest novel. As I was expecting it to be intriguing, I must say I wasn't disappointed when I went in the deepest secrets a wife can hold from a husband. Clearly, it's a work of commercial fiction.
First you think that you knew Amber but then you think no you were wrong. Then you think that you knew it's final twist. I bet you will definitely proved wrong. It's that much hell of a psychological thriller.
I loved Amber and George. Although I loved that one character of which I don't want to talk here but they're brilliant in their role.
I'm doing more promotion on the 2nd of Nov among my fellow Authors, Bloggers, Friends, Family and Followers. I'm sure everyone will be going to love it.
Thanks to NetGalley and Bookouture for giving me an advance copy of this brilliant psychological thriller.
