Driven, written by Rebecca Zanetti, was an okay book. It wasn't Broken, which was more suspenseful and more action-packed. Don't get more wrong; I enjoyed Driven, just not as much as Broken. I did like the way Rebecca Zanetti ended the storyline and brought the series to a close.
Whoa...what a book! Fourth in the series but can be read as a stand alone. I love the cover but the blurb cinched it. Action filled and the heat between Angus and Nari is nuclear!
What did I like? It took me until about twenty percent in to really become engrossed. I’m not sure if it’s because it’s the fourth in a series because this was the first I’d read. Still once it caught, it was a gripping thriller! Kept me guessing until the end! I’d definitely read more by this author!
Would I recommend or buy? I’d definitely read the whole series! Put them on a TBR pile! I seem to really be reading thrillers lately. This is my fourth one this week! Unputdownable! Five huge stars! For anyone loving a good thriller!

DRIVEN (Deep Ops Book 4) by Rebecca Zanetti
I very much enjoyed this story of Angus and Nari. It is filled with sexual tension between our hero and heroine. This book is filled with romantic suspense, tension, drama, murder, and witty banter. Angus is a much damaged FBI profiler who has turned to drinking, spending time at his little cabin with his dog Roscoe. Nari is the Deep Ops psychologist. Lassiter is the serial killer that murdered Angus’ sister. Everything was pointing to the death of Lassiter by Angus in the past, and now he is determined to believe that Lassiter faked his own death and is now killing again. I could not put this down and highly recommend it. This is 5 stars.
I received this arc from Netgalley for an honest opinion.
Zanetti finally gives Angus Force his HEA in this installment of the Deep Ops series. Though it can be read as a stand-alone, it is more fun when you’ve read them all. Gritty and flawed, her heroes keep you reading to see how a woman can bring them to their knees.
4.5 Stars
This was my first book i have read by Rebecca Zanetti and i loved it , she is now one of my go to authors.... an auto buy for me.
Great action packed story! Angus Force came back to lead a team with the HDD to secretly look into whether or not a serial killer he supposedly killed actually survived. The year he was given is up and they disband his team right as bodies start to pile up. Nari was the team’s psychiatrist and she and Angus have a mutual attraction. They work together to try and figure out who is behind the things happening to them before it is too late.
Great romance, great mystery that keeps you guessing until the end. I love the band of misfits Angus has on his team and his dog Roscoe steals many of the scenes he is in!
Awesome standalone of a great series. Hoping Jethro gets his own HEA so we can learn his secrets soon!
Thanks to the publisher for a review copy via NetGalley.
I have been dying to read Angus Force's story. It was all that I could have hoped for. Easily my favorite in the series. I loved following the story, it was fascinating and the plot twist was fabulous!
WOW! I was waiting for Angus and Nari's story and I was not disappointed. Between their storyline and the hunt for the serial killer, (Is Lassiter alive or dead?) this had twists and turns that I didn't see coming. I love, love this series.
*I received an advanced copy of this book via Net Galley; the review is my honest thoughts and opinions.*
I can admit I was not looking forward to the book. The series is fabulous, but I am not a fan of Nari's & had zero interest in her story. I am so glad I decided to read it. It was really good. The first plot twist was expected & was soooo good, but the unexpected second twist was even better. If you are having reservations about read this go ahead & do it, you will be glad you did.
Driven is the 4th book in the Deep Ops series. The series has been leading up to this book with a story arc involving Angus. Angus has been searching for the serial killer, Lassiter. Despite what the feds have said, Angus believes that Lassiter is still alive. He has also been circling his colleague Nari for almost a year. I have been looking forward to their story because their chemistry drove me crazy over the first 3 books. I was really happy that this book didn't disappoint.
The mystery was great. Someone is killing women who look like the women on Angus's team. The signature looks like Lassiter's, but there are subtle differences. I didn't expect the twist in the end. I also loved watching Nari and Angus finally get together. I enjoyed watching Nari be able to take care of herself as well. Her mother taught her well. I was rooting for Angus to realize he didn't have to be a loner and that he had a lot of support. One of the things I love about this series is all of the characters and how they have formed a family. I hope this isn't the end of the series. There are a couple of other characters that I would love to see be the focus of future books. I highly recommend this one as well as the entire series.
I love this team, including Roscoe and Kat. Angus tried his best to keep them all together and still find Henry Wayne Lassiter who Angus believed was still alive. Angus became even more convinced of this when dead bodies that closely resembled members of the team started turning up.
Lots of questions and few answers frustrated Angus. Would he and the team be able to find Lassiter before the team members became the next victims?
Another hit for Zanetti! This is book 6, and I have been itching to hear Angus and Nari's story! There has been something between the two from the beginning! They've had so much chemistry, and you just knew that their book would be amazing! The shrink and the lead. You just knew that there would be a good backstory for why Nari was working with a group of...interesting.. men. And Angus was so haunted and damaged. There was a story there too. This was such an addicting read, and I always say it, but make sure that you have a good chunk of time to read this! You will not want to put it down until the end!
I voluntarily read and reviewed and ARC of this book.
I cannot get enough of Rebecca Zanetti's Deep Ops series and Angus and Nari may be my fave couple of the series. Both strong characters with a chemistry that burns up the pages, I couldn't put it down!
Driven is Book 4 in Rebecca Zanetti's Deep Ops series. I have yet to read other books from this series but I was still able to enjoy this book. I was riveted from the get go. This book is so full of twist and turns with compelling characters, I couldn't find myself putting the book down. Now that I've read this book, I will go back and start from Book 1 and perhaps then I can fully appreciate the characters potratyed.
A must read for Rebecca Zanetti fans. Thanks NetGalley for the copy, the views above are of my own.
I finished this last night after binge reading the whole series last weekend. It was everything I thought it would be and more! I loved Angus before but *sigh* he was even more awesome in this book!
Fast-paced, intriguing and HAWT! Angus book has it all—the secondary characters I've come to love, Angus' relentless quest in finding his nemesis brought to the page in an engrossing and engaging manner that kept me on my toes throughout and the explosive chemistry that has been brewing between Angus and Nari from the very first book. All of this mixed up with the right amount of action, camaraderie and candid moments is what made this such an intense, awesome read for me
These past weeks have been one heck of a ride while I binged on this series. I can't wait to read more of Rebecca Zanetti's work. She always delivers an entertaining, intense and well-thought out story with the right amount romance elements embedded into the story to make it a great read.
The fourth book in Deep Ops, Driven is an exciting, entertaining read. Driven is a well paced story of family, power and vengeance and the character dynamic is compelling throughout. I highly recommend this book and series to readers, you will not be disappointed.
This fabulous book brings a nail biting end to Rebecca Zanetti's suspenseful Black Ops series. I was hanging on every detail as Angus and Nari went on the hunt for the brutul seriel killer intent on targeting their team.
This entire series has been suspenseful and loaded with action and romance. In this last book there ended up being a very good reason why the evil mastermind was always one step ahead of Angus and his misfit team. Even after reading all of the other books I was completely surprised by what happened in this one. The plot was compelling and never let up with the action and suspense. I couldn't stop flipping pages until the end. The romance and heat between Angus and Nari was wonderful.
I loved it ! Can't wait to see what Rebecca Zanetti has lined up next,
Driven by Rebecca Zanetti
Deep Ops #?
I was looking forward to reading about Angus Force and Nari Zhang since they run so hot and cold through the first books and though the two do belong together, sizzle when together, and seem to be good for one another…this story took me longer to read and I am not sure why. It could have been any one of a number of things: the obsession that Angus had over the serial killer that did his sister in or Nari’s obsession with wanting the approval of her biological father or the two of them doing the push-pull & you deserve better/are better thing or perhaps the way outside forces were trying to manipulate clues in a way that was truly unbelievable to me so why would it be believable to those who should have been in the know OR it could be that this story wasn’t as much for me as the previous ones were…who knows. I did enjoy it and look forward to reading more in this series/by this author. So, thank you to NetGalley and Kensington-Zebra for the ARC – This is my honest review.
3-4 Stars
I love this book and this series. I love this ragtag group of agents with all of their strange quirks and strange pets! Their methods might be totally bazar but they are worth a lot of laughs at times. They get themselves in and out of trouble and you just wonder how that happens! You will love it! Thanks Rebecca for writing such a great book!
Finally Angus and Nari get deep into their sexual tension. Of course we have to deal with Angus's nemesis jerking their chains but we're at the finish line for this rag-tag team of crime fighters.
