Driven is the fourth book in Rebecca Zanetti’s Deep Ops Series. This is a romantic suspense novel with a fantastic storyline, great characters and a happily ever after. It can be read as a standalone, but reading it in order will give you a better appreciation for the characters and the series itself.

It’s been over 6 years since Angus Force shot and and killed the serial killer who viciously murdered his sister, but all signs point to “the Surgeon” still being alive. When bodies are found in Virginia showing Lassiter’s MO, Force will do everything in his power to protect those around him. Including Nari Zhang, the Deep Ops Unit shrink he’s been drawn to from the beginning.

The attraction between Nari and Angus has been explosive from the start and proves irresistible when the past and present collide and Lassiter draws the Deep Ops Unit into his web. Danger surrounds them, but will Nari, Angus and their growing feelings survive the Surgeon’s blade? Read it and find out!

I can’t wait to read her next book in the Deeps Ops Series. Hopefully, Jethro gets the happily ever after he deserves because I’m dying to learn more about his past.

This is a voluntary review of an advanced readers copy fro Netgalley.

Angus has kept everyone at arms length. Even Nari. He is convinced that Lassiter is still alive and killing again. He is dedicated to finding him and will do anything to make that happen. Nari has spent a year watching Angus drink and desperately search for proof that Lassiter is still out there. Her attraction to him is overwhelming most times, but it's not something she ever thinks he will act on. When the bodies start piling up and the resemblance to the their team is more than just uncanny they must work together to catch the person responsible and fighting their attraction is almost impossible. Will one night be enough? Or will the danger push them together and make them stronger? Action pact, thrilling, steamy and long awaited five star read!

The fourth book in the Deep Ops Series brings us Angus and Nari’s story in a dangerous cat and mouse adventure.

I’ve read Rebecca’s Dark Protectors (a paranormal romance series) and loved it, but I’ve not read this one.
So here goes.....

Nari for me was awesome, her no nonsense attitude persona was great, her ass kickings were great, but we also get to see the other side of this woman, it’s a side I don’t think most of the characters have seen.
And she works well with Angus. That’s when they aren’t either shouting at each other, or sending mixed messages!!

Angus is a alpha male through and through. A Disgruntled and disgraced ex Ops agent. And although given the credit with bringing down the “surgeon” killer, Angus was convinced he never took out the serial killer! But what does he know?!
He’s living a quiet life away from any hassles. Well that is until he’s asked to come in on a case!
He’s convinced Lassiter isn’t dead, and is the killer they are looking for.......

Lassiter is maniacal that’s the perfect word to describe him.
And when he turns his sights on Nari, that had me just a little bit worried!! He’s a mad genius, always seemed one step ahead of his pursuers.

It’s the fourth book in the Deep Ops Series, and I loved it.
I’m going to have to go back and read the other books, as it looks like this hasn’t been the first time Angus and Lassiter have tangled!!!
But, that doesn’t take away from this book. It just makes me want to read the rest of the series.

The characters in this story just blew me away. Angus has enough alpha to make me smile, and the strong female Nari has me whooping for joy (do love a strong independent woman)
And Lassiter was a great bad guy!
The chemistry is there in spades, but it doesn’t consume the book, it isn’t the total story.
The action is great, paced really well, and written with attention to details.
There is quite a cast of other characters and it made for a riveting read.

So do Nari, Angus and the team get their man? And what will Lassiter do to take the heat of himself?

I’m definitely heading back to start at the first book. And I strongly recommend you do the same.

Omg finally!! I have been wanting their story from the moment they met!! Their chemistry was always off the charts and I was ready for it to explode. The story itself was intense, action-packed, suspenseful, sexy, and a bit heart breaking. I had high hopes for this book and Rebecca did not disappoint!

Nari was always the cool, collected, sophisticated shrink that seemed out of place with the Deep Ops crew in the beginning. We didn’t have much history on her, but finding it out in this book, it made her more real and relatable. I loved how kick-ass she was too. Don’t get me wrong. I love a badass hero, but a heroine that can hold her own is even hotter!

Angus, oh my sweet, tormented, Angus. I loved him even more in this book than the others. His protectiveness really came out where Nari was concerned and it just did something for me. He’s smart, compassionate, determined, stubborn, and tortured from his past.

This read kept me on the edge of my seat and trying to figure out Lassiter and what would happen next. I also thoroughly enjoyed the banter between Nari and Angus, as well as seeing Wolfe and the gang. I def can’t forget about Roscoe. That sweet fur baby is precious and I loved his page time, as always! I also hope that Jethro gets his own story, even if it’s a novella. He’s intrigued me from the first time we met him.

All in all, this was a fabulous read! Thank you Netgalley for this early copy. This is my honest review.

5 stars!

The fourth book in the Deep Ops series, this is the long-awaited story of Angus and Nari, and it’s an absolute rollercoaster! Exciting, action-packed, dramatic and suspenseful with the elements of humour the I love so much about Rebecca’s writing, and a love story that is passionate and intense, and so fitting for these characters. It’s a thrill ride, representing everything that I love about this series, and I loved this one!

This book is the culmination of build-up over the last few books as Deep Ops Unit Director, Angus Force confronts his demons when a nemesis from his past resurfaces. Years ago, he shot and killed the serial killer that he hunted for a year and who murdered his sister, but for a while now he’s had the feeling that the deranged psycho may not actually be dead. When murdered women start surfacing in the killer’s signature style - each of them a lookalike for the women in Force’s life - he goes on the hunt again.

Nari Zhang is the Psychologist who was demoted and being punished when she was allocated to the Deep Ops Unit, but she has found her place there and is a much-loved member of the team. Angus is the one person who hasn’t taken up the offer of regular therapy sessions, and there is a delicious dynamic between them that is part aggression, part sexual tension, and all foreplay. Over the last few books their chemistry has been building, and we’ve all been waiting for them to finally take that step, and with danger swirling around them and the two of them forced close together for Zari’s protection, all of that tension is about to explode.

“You have to stop pushing everyone away.”
He leaned in even closer, ducking his head to trap her gaze. “Baby, the last thing I want to do is push you away.”

It’s hot, sexy, and so freaking exciting, and though Angus is determined to keep feelings out of it, now that they’ve begun to explore their connection, the intensity of everything between them is absolutely unstoppable. With the added danger bringing a fantastic edge, the emotion is impossible to hold back, and I loved watching them fall into it.

"She looked at him the way nobody in his entire life had looked at him. As if he could do anything. As if he was her hero. His body heated, and he wanted more than anything to hold that look forever. To actually be a hero, which he’d never come close to."

The love story unfolds amidst near-constant action and thrills as bodies keep appearing and Angus and Nari find themselves in the firing line over and over again. There’s never a moment to rest, and my heart was pounding as the suspense builds closer and closer to the inevitable confrontation. My mind was racing trying to figure it all out, and I loved that I was kept guessing right up until the very end.

Meanwhile, the powers that be have torn the Deep Ops Unit apart… but the familial bonds formed between the team are not so easily broken, so never fear, we still get to see the characters from previous books, and though they are in on all of the excitement, they bring some great levity to the story, and I laughed out loud at their banter and antics.

It’s all happening, and it’s so freaking exciting, and I struggled to put this book down. I loved the suspense and the action, but as always, it’s the romance that I was there for, and I loved watching Angus and Nari finally come together.

“I love you, Nari Zhang. When I first met you, right now, and forever. No matter what, you’re everything to me.”

What a fantastic ride! I’m loving this series and am so excited for whatever is coming next!

5 stars!

Angus Force has been hunting for the serial killer he thought was dead, the killer he thought he killed. When a new body turns up that fits Lassiter’s MO, Force’s search goes into high gear, though he has a hard time convincing any other authorities that Lassiter is behind the new body. As more bodies are discovered, a chilling connection to Force is revealed, giving him even more of a motive to find Lassiter fast.

Nari Zhang is the shrink assigned to Force’s team. She and Force fight the attraction between them, which only grows when they work closely together on the Lassiter case. She has her own reasons for avoiding workplace romances, but sometimes the sparks are too much to ignore. When she finds herself in Lassiter’s target, the danger ramps up as she tries to save her job and her life.

These two are fierce together. Angus doesn’t give up easily, and though he is haunted by ghosts of guilt, when he has a task to focus on he is laser sharp. He isn’t one to ask for help, and even as his taskforce is being dismantled he doesn’t want anyone on his former team to ruin their careers over sticking it out with him. Nari has her own battles to fight, within the Homeland Defense agency and outside of it. Together, they are determined to get to the truth behind these murders. There were times I had a hard time with the intensity of their relationship, really feeling what they were feeling, but I think part of that is just how closed off both of these characters are at times. I think had I read previous books in the series it might have felt easier for me to believe in their chemistry.

This is the first book in the Deep Ops series that I have been able to read, and though I think some minor details would have been more clear had I already been familiar with these characters and the series arc, I was able to pick up this story very quickly. The suspense elements kept me guessing and the twists in the story were somewhat unexpected. Though this was my first Deep Ops book, it will not be my last. I enjoyed getting to know this group of characters and look forward to future installments as well as catching up on the three other books that are already published.

Driven finally delivers the story of Angus and Nari-whose sexual tension has been keeping readers on edge for a while now! But, there is also a not dead serial killer who wants Nari as well.

Nari is a psycholgist who works with the deep ops team of ne'er do wells. Angus is obsessed with getting Lassiter, so when he finds out he didn't kill him, he is back on the hunt. Nari has been a favorite of mine throughout the series because she is so steady and unflinching. She is the calm in the storm that is Deep Ops. I really wanted to know how she ended up working for Deep ops-the rest of the team is flunkies, criminals, and disgraced men/women and she doesn't seem to fit. In Driven we finally learn Nari's secrets and I loved it!

Angus is the quintessential tortured hero. He wanted Lassiter dead as revenge for his sister's murder. His pain was too heavy and he drank to deal with it all. However, now that he has confirmation that Lassiter is alive and he isn't crazy, he is on a mission. Both he and Nari were fierce!

Driven wraps up the Deep Ops series nicely and readers will delight in the glimpses into the team featured before. The suspense is engaging, the romance is hot, and I just loved Driven! Also, while I didn't listen to this one on audio, I have listened to a few previous ones via audio and they are GREAT! If you are an audiobook lover, I highly recommend it!

Driven by Rebecca Zanetti is the fourth book in the Deep Ops Series. The book is a thriller from the first scene and builds tension as the book continues. The main characters belong to a Deep Ops Unit that is housed in a ragtag way. Angus Force is determined to find the serial killer - Lassiter. Only problem is Lassiter is dead, or so everyone believes except Angus Force. This book is the fourth book in a series and seemingly the final book about Angus and Nari. I loved reading this book and I have not read the prior books. I am sure I would love the whole series, but I was able to read this as a stand alone.

Angus Force was a profiler for the FBI in the past. He is searching for Lassiter again. Determined to find the killer and make sure he dies this time! Too many people are relying on him, and even more people think he has lost his mind. They are trying to shut him down, but there is something more going on. As more and more victims are found and their resemblance to the team, the situation becomes more tense and Angus and Nari get closer to the truth, without knowing the whole truth.

I loved this book and reading this author. The book was a non-stop thrill of a read! Driven by Rebecca Zanetti is a great read.

This is book 4 in the Deep Ops series and it absolutely should be read in order as everything in this series has been leading up to this book. In this one, we finally get Angus Force and Nari Zhang's story! Angus has believed that the serial killer that he was told was killed by him really isn't dead for quite some time. Ever since an anonymous source told him that Lassiter was still alive. He knows it's only a matter of time before he starts killing again. And now a body has been found, and it's just the start of the killing spree. Nari was sent in as a shrink for the Deep Ops team, but she isn't Angus's shrink. Their attraction to each other has been there from the start although neither has acted on it. But things between them are about to come to a head, especially once Nari is targeted by Lassiter. Now Angus has to keep Nari safe while trying to catch a killer.

I absolutely loved this last story!! Angus and Nari have been circling around each other since the beginning and I couldn't wait for their story, and this in no way disappointed! I loved that we finally got to see some background on Nari, and exactly what drove her to be sent to Deep Ops. And we finally understand why Angus is the way he is, and I couldn't have loved him anymore than I already did! Their chemistry is off the charts hot!! I truly didn't see it coming on who the killer was! I had it in my head it was someone else, and I was totally wrong, and it was great!! I loved every second of this read! Now I know that technically this should be the end of the series, but I really hope there is a book for Jethro-even if it's a novella! I really liked his character and would love for him to get a HEA as well!!

This is the 4th book in the "Deep Ops" series. We finally get to see Angus and Nari's story play out.
This story was non stop suspense and action from the very beginning. It had me hooked. Was Lassiter alive or was this a new serial killer targeting Angus' team?
Since the killer targeted Nari first , it put Angus in protective mode and brought the two of them closer together. They have been fighting the sexual tension between for 4 books.
The plot to uncover the who dun it, takes several twists. One being that Angus becomes the main suspect.
I throughly enjoyed this book and this series. I had never read her books before this series but I am now a fan.
I want to thank Netgalley for the chance to review this book.

Driven is the fourth book in the Deep Ops series by Rebecca Zanetti. It brings to light new faces from times past and present along with a deeper insight into the history of the Deep Ops team leader Angus Force and their effervescent shrink Nari Zhang.

This book focuses on Nari Zhang, the Deep Ops team psychologist who will go to bat for all her friends from the team even at the cost of her career.

Angus Force is a strong leader dealing with his demons. His old nemesis resurfaces and a trail of blood and death ensues across states as the stakes become life and death for Force and his team.

Together, Angus and Nari must work to save the world and themselves from the evil serial killer hunting them. This book is truly spellbinding. Rebecca Zanetti creates characters with such depth that you just can't help rooting for them

4.5 Hearts I have been a fan of Rebecca Zanetti for years now and I swear with each book she gets better and better.

We have been waiting for Nari and Angus’s story from book one. They are part of a team and there is something between Nari and Angus but neither wants to admit it. That is until Nari is the new obsession of the killer and Angus is not going to let anything happen to Nari if it kills him.

I love love love the way Rebecca Zanetti writes. There is something that draws you in from the first page of the story. And as a fan knowing we were finally getting the story we have been waiting for.

Zanetti writes so many genres and writes them all with perfection. This book is as good as her many others but I do suggest reading this whole series so you understand why Zanetti’s fans have been waiting for this book.

I received a complimentary copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.

A fantastic finale to this series! This book in particular would make an amazing television show. Rebecca writes in many different genres, but my favorite is hands down her romantic suspense. I highly recommend this series!

Angus and Nari's story is finally here, and it was everything I could have hoped for!

Force's search for serial killer Lassiter hasn't yielded any evidence that the man is still alive within the 1 year deadline imposed by the HDD, and the team is on the verge of being disbanded when a new victim is discovered bearing eerily similar characteristics to a Lassiter kill. A few things are off, but Angus is certain the body is a message to him: she bears a resemblance to Nari and has a new tattoo of a German Shepherd with markings identical to Roscoe. The HDD doesn't agree though, so Angus is once again forced to pursue his suspicions on his own.

Nari and Angus have been dancing around each other for the better part of the last year, but now that they are no longer working together, the prospect of one night to scratch the itch is a call neither of them can ignore. I have to say that Nari surprised me a bit and I loved that! She is intelligent and a peacemaker, but she has a spine of steel with sass thrown in. She is the perfect match for Angus in every way, and they are explosive when they finally let down their guards enough to enjoy each other.

They both have secrets they have been hiding that come to light as the deadly game of cat and mouse with Lassiter unfolds, and the whole team comes into the focus of whomever is dropping bodies for Angus to find while trying to implicate him in the murders. Driven kept me turning the pages as I laughed, gasped, raged and giggled my way through it. If this is a series finale, it is a great one but I am holding out hope for the possibility of a story or stories for Jethro and Serena.

Finally, Angus gets to do what he’s been wanting to do for years. Take down the serial killer who killed his sister once and for all…if he’s really still alive.

There are a lot of twists and turns to this story. There’s another serial killer on the loose and he’s baiting Angus and his team. Or it may be the same killer the FBI claims Angus took down years ago. This is the case that haunts Angus and was the catalyst for him getting his current team together. This book starts out with the reader finding out how Angus found out the killer may still be alive and how that turned into him getting his own secret deep ops team.

The whole team is involved in this case. They’re torn apart and built back up. It’s amazing to see how they have all truly become a family over the course of this series. Not only for the reader, but also for Angus. Someone who is truly in need of some family that will have his back no matter what.

As for the romance between Angus and Nari, it is incredible. Their fire and attraction have been on the peripheral of this series. Now that they may never see each other again, they give into that attraction. Their connection has a much deeper emotional aspect to it than I had anticipated, and I loved it! Angus has always come off as a bit uncaring, although it’s obvious he has a big heart since he is constantly trying to numb himself with alcohol. In this story, we get to see just how big his heart really is…and it’s enormous.

Nari was a bit of a mystery to me. Even with her in the other stories, I never felt I got a true feel for her. Let me tell you, I love Nari. She is compassionate and funny and smart and tough. She’s also been keeping some secrets from the team. With good reason, but still. Either way, I love me some Nari and was all in on her getting under Angus’ walls.

Although this story would be a natural conclusion to this series, I would love to see more books. If not in this particular series, maybe a spin-off. There are still some characters out there I’d like to see get an HEA.

They are both Driven❣️

Angus and Nari have been fighting their attraction since the beginning, because they work together. But now, someone is after them testing the limits of their attraction while trying to solve the mystery of Angus’ obsession with Lassiter and finding evidence he’s still alive and trying to figure else who else is after them😳

This story was amazing and action-packed and I love the characters as they are all so unique. I especially love Roscoe’s antics😂 I’m hoping this isn’t the end for the Deep Ops series and hopeful that we have a story for a certain Brit in the future😜 I received an advanced copy via Netgalley and I voluntarily leave my honest review❤️

This book was everything I had hoped for and more. We've been waiting for Angus and Nari's story since book 1 in the series. Angus has been obsessed with proving the serial killer who murdered his sister is still alive. He was given a year to work with a task force and prove his theory, the book begins when that year has ended and the task force is being disbanded. I've really enjoyed the crazy characters in this series especially Roscoe. This book had so much suspense and action, it was well worth the wait! It was nice to finally find out Nari's backstory and how she ended up working with the task force. I really hope there are more books to come in this series.

Review copy was received from NetGalley. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.

I'm enjoying the romantic suspense in the Deep Ops series. There is a new couple in each story. The characters and situation are rather over the top, not quite realistic or believable. Although the humor is a bit ridiculous with quirky characters, the violence is gritty. There's a dog and a cat on the team.

In Driven, we finally get the story of the leader Angus, and the "shrink" Nari. It is different from the other books in the series in many ways. Unlike all but Raider's story, both of them are part of the team. It is also after most of the rest of the team is paired off into couples. While they have the support of the team, they are separated from them for most of the story so we don't really get the connected feel and updates on the other members.

There was a lot of action and many murders happening. But the investigation does not seem very smart and successful. Most of the action for Angus and Nari is avoiding kidnap or assassination attempts. So while they were working hard, it still seemed reactive more than proactive. There was less humor, group camaraderie and participation of their pets.

There are many shocking revelations, and frustrating events which really brought new layers to the plot. I suspect this is the end of the series, since most of them are coupled, although I would love to see how things go forward with new cases. The author does a good job of bringing out all the details to finish story arcs.
