OOOh ooh I was excited to read this series! Although this is only an excerpt of the book I thoroughly enjoyed it and cannot wait to read the full book. Book 1 was 5 stars for me!

Thank you to Netgalley, Bloomsbury YA, and the author for the ARC in exchange for my honest thoughts.

I have recieved an arc e-book of A Vow So Bold and Deadly from the author Brigid Kemmerer and Netgalley in exchange for a review.

All the POVs were interesting to read from as they each had their reasons for doing certain things in the grand scheme of things it all turned out make sense. It had good pacing and good character development. Absolutely recommend this entire series for anyone who loves romance, fantasy and fairy tale retelling!

I do not know what took me so long to finish this series I loved this book even more than the last two most things were wrapped up looking forward to reading the next series. I loved all of the characters so much especially Harper, Rhen, Lia Mara and Grey all the POVs were interesting to read from they each had their reasons for doing certain things in the grand scheme of things it all made sense. I loved the romances finally going where they should and how protective Rhen and Grey are of Harper and Lia Mara and how each of them shows the love they have for each other. I know people have issues with the ending but I found it hopeful and a happy for now ending. The plot was really interesting there is the fallout from the previous book with the kingdoms being on the brink of war and each character doing what they need to Rhen starts out trying to find a way to get an army for this way other things happen and it does not go that way meanwhile Grey is in Syhl Shallow now being with Lia Mara he is not trusted by all and there are attempts on Lia Mara's life after awhile Harper shows up since she was forced to flee to ask for help things don't go so well but after awhile they head out other things happen many sad moments and a hopeful ending looking forward to reading the next series soon.

I did enjoy this series and the journey that it takes you on but I found it to be violent. A bit too violent to allow my young readers to enjoy.

I really loved reading this installment and thought it was a reasonable conclusion. It had good pacing and good character development. Some things were left unresolved that I wish were explained better.

I listened/read to the series in one stretch. And this review is for the series as a whole. It was interesting and reasonably paced. The first in the series felt very similar to ACOTAR, only the actual YA version. But it's kind of expected as both are beauty and beast retellings I guess. But as the series progressed I found it getting boring for me. I liked how Lia Mara finally, finally found it in her to stand by her words instead of agreeing with the annoying little sister.
Overall it was average for me, I wouldn't have finished it if not for the audiobooks

So I have had this book in my Netgalley for a long time, because I didn’t like it! The whole series got muddled in book 2 for me, so I had a feeling I wasn’t going to like this one.

I was so disappointed with this. All the character development over the previous two books just got completely brushed to one side, and it just did not make any sense to me. Such a shame, because I loved A Curse so Dark and Lonely.

What a wonderful conclusion to a great series this book was. I liked the 4 PoV and I enjoyed seeing the story come together. The characters grew so much from Book 1 and they developed their roles and their personalities. The most impressive was Rhen in my opinion. He made many many mistakes, struggle with this new position, but in the end made the right choice.

Absolutely recommend this entire series for anyone who loves romance, fantasy and fairy tale retelling! The series was so good i bought the next series of Briggids as well!!

Has everything you'd want in a retelling of a classic fairy tale: a finely-drawn fantasy world, a heroine rarely seen in fiction, and a tortured hero with a secret. However i felt like there was alot of repetitive circumstances, and some characters were hard toncare about

The end of this series have my heart breaking in multiple pieces ! I've been cheering for this characters for a while and I can't believe we have come to an end ! But I'm also grateful by the resolution of it all and also happy for my babies. Looking forward for anything Brigid writes !

This was a strong end to a favorite series. I love book 1 and book 2 fell slightly flat for me, but book 3 brought it back around.

I really wanted to love the final novel in the cursebreakers trilogy, but it was just not for me. The characters I knew and loved from books 1 & 2 completely changed in “A Vow So Bold and Deadly.” Rhen falls prey to his insecurities and lashes out. Harper lets fear and anger cloud her decision making. Grey truly becomes “scary Grey,” treating Harper so coldly. Lia Mara allows Nolla Verin, her sister, to undermine her, portraying her as a weak ruler. So much of the conflict created between these characters was unnecessary and could have easily been resolved had they communicated with each other. I was most disappointed by the novel’s ending. Two of my favorite characters got the short end of the stick, leaving me feeling upset, confused, and unsatisfied. All that being said, there are many aspects of “A Vow So Bold and Deadly” that I enjoyed. Kemmerer’s writing is just fantastic. As with the previous two books, it did not take long for me to become fully immersed in the world she created. Alternating between Harper, Rhen, Grey, and Lia Mara’s perspectives felt natural and the fighting sequences were not hard to follow. While this novel is not my favorite, I am excited to return to Emberfall in “Forging Silver into Stars!”

I loved this book! What an epic ending to an epic trilogy! Each character grew so much through this series, and while I am sad for one of them, I’m happy for the other.
