This is only a review of the first four chapters!
I absolutely loved A Curse So Dark and Lonely, A Heart So Fierce and Broken a little less so, but after these four chapters I'm excited for a Vow So Bold and Deadly! I'd have to give it 3.5 stars at this point...I'm still nervous after AHSFB's ending, and I haven't read enough of AVSBD to make a full judgment and feel that Kemmerer has redeemed herself and her characters. However, after these chapters, I do have hope that it's a possibility, and I will be reading the entirety of this book when it comes out for sure!

I received this complimentary ARC from the publisher, in exchange for an honest review.

Well this was just a delight.

I fell in love with this series last year and I cannot believe the third one is on its way.

I recommend this series to anyone who loves YA fantasy because it’s just a hidden gem in the genre.

I can’t wait to read the full book!

While just a little taste of what’s to come, this excerpt conveyed that the end to this story will be very interesting. I thoroughly enjoyed the first two books in this series and I’m excited to see where it goes. I like that we are going to see perspectives from all four main characters this time. I am very much looking forward to reading the rest when it’s released in January. Thank you to Bloomsbury and NetGalley for granting access to this excerpt in exchange for an honest review. I will be posting this review tomorrow along with a review of the first two books in the series to my Bookstagram and companion Facebook page @thatreadingrealtor.

It feels odd giving a review based on the opening chapters alone, but this series has really been enhanced by the additional perspectives of Grey and Lia Mara. I'm looking forward to reading once the book is actually released!

As far as this copy goes, I was disappointed it wasn’t a complete ARC. Beyond that, the first page of every chapter had no words on them. They only had the beginning letter of the chapter. What I could read of the book though was fantastic and I can’t wait to read the complete copy.

Wow what an epic conclusion!!!! I can’t even believe I was able to read this early. Thank you so much Bloomsbury and Netgalley for approving me for this. This book was amazing and Brigid Kenner is a fantastic writer! I have no complaints

After reading this sampler, I cannot wait for A Vow So Bold and Deadly to be published in January 2021! I think this is one of my most anticipated releases of 2021. The sampler offers four chapters, each told from Grey, Harper, Lia Maria and Rhen's perspective, and I just want more!

I was only given the excerpt for the book but it heightened my excitement, can’t wait to read the whole thing.

I got hooked on Kemmerer’s novels from my pals on the Currently Reading podcast, and man am I glad I did. This excerpt is everything I was hoping for and has totally left me on the hook for the full thing. I can’t wait to see what’s to come!

Like, yes, I still want to read the book. This doesn't change that, I just want more!! I'm definitely going to get sucked into this one when I have the whole thing in front of me. Can't wait to learn more about Lia Mara and her country.

After reading the free excerpt provided by NetGalley I am even more excited for the full book to be released! I have already preordered! If the rest of the third book is this good then it will have been worth the wait! Sometimes I really can't get into a book that is told from multiple POVs but Brigid Kemmerer really has this down. I can't wait for the full book!

Ob-sessed with this series! And only more so after reading this latest sneak-peek excerpt. I don't think I'm capable of waiting until 2021 to read the rest.

It is very hard to review 75 pages out of a book that is going to be 400+ ...so I will say that the writing is just as splendid as the first two and I am very excited for the full book to come out!

With how the last book left off I was dreading how this one was going to begin. At only 75 pages it doesn't give very much. It picks up right from where the last book left off and gives us POVs from all our favorite characters. We've got Rhen, Harper, Lia Mara and Grey. I am very, very excited to see where we go from here. Quite a bit happens in the first 75 pages that seems rather intense...and it definitely leaves a knot in your stomach!

This review is based on excerpts from the first few chapters, so it will be very basic.

This book is written in the same style as the other two. I did appreciate that the author gave reference to the other books. Sometimes, after waiting the year + until the next book in a series, I forget some of the intricacies of the prior books...and I don't always have time to reread. This gave just enough to not be intrusive but enough to jog my memory.

My biggest fear for this book is use of four POVs. I feel like it might be unwieldy, we'll miss something, or it will shift/end abruptly. Unfortunately, this excerpt of bits of four of the chapters was not enough to give me an idea whether or not this is going to be a problem.

I enjoyed the other books in this series, so I plan on enjoying this one. I will be reading the full book when it's released.

I'm actually intrigued from the get go after reading this excerpt! We get more Lia Mara, and we get all the other characters. I want more Lia Mara story after reading her chapter, honestly. I also am interested to see about Harper too.

I hope the rest of the book is like the chapters I saw!

This was just an excerpt but it definitely sucked me in! I can give a full review once I can read the entire story!

I must admit, I still need to read the second book, so I’m a bit behind on the story. I will do my best to catch up before the excerpt disappears

I've only read the first chapter of each POV, but A Vow So Bold and Deadly already seems better than A Heart So Fierce and Broken. I really liked A Curse So Dark and Lonely, so I was really disappointed when A Heart So Fierce and Broken failed to impress me in the same way. I am very much team Rhen and Harper, so I'm really hoping their story has a satisfying conclusion in this book.

I received a preview of this book on NetGalley for review. As someone who has not read the previous books in this series, this excerpt has left me intrigued and wanting to read more. It is well-written, and I found myself curious about all the characters and wanting to know their backstories. I think I will have to start at the beginning and come back to this when the full novel is available. Thanks for the taste!

- I forgot how much I enjoy the short chapter setup of this series.
- Yay, subtly injected bits here and there that are triggering my memory of the previous books. It’s all coming back to me now.
- I love when an author can naturally ease us back into things without being stilted.
- Definitely looking forward to all of Vow.

I received an excerpt (about 30 pages) of this book from netgalley for an honest review. This is the 3rd book in the Cursebreakers series and I'm so excited for it! The beginning does a good job of working in a brief review of how the previous book ended. At the start, you can already sense the tension between characters and within themselves. There are so many ways this book could take the storyline and I can't wait to get the finished copy!
