A small excerpt that packed a huge punch. I cannot wait for this final installment,
Brigid Kemmerer writes beautifully and knows how to draw the reader in.
Conflict and turmoil, heartache and loss, but always, always with hope. A Vow so Bold and Deadly will be sure to spin its magic on us all.
Having loved the first book, the second one did not sit right with me. This one seems to be promising with the excerpt itself and makes the wait for the book even longer. The few chapters provided now will definitely set the anticipation level high as all the characters are now with right angst!
I didn't realize this was an excerpt at first but I'm excited to read more now! I don't feel comfortable leaving a full review for the sampler but I've been anxiously awaiting this one for a while.
After being disappointed by the 2nd book in this series, I'm really looking forward to the third. This was just a taste of what is to come and I'm SO READY to read the rest!
This looks awesome, I can't wait to read the whole book and see what is in the making for my favourite characters. I wish it was the publication day already.
Thank you for the sneak peak! I cannot wait to get my hands on this book. I’m really looking forward to seeing how this potential war is reconciled between Grey and Rhen, or if it’ll really be war. I loved Lia Mara, and I loved Harper. I’m still hoping for a happy ending for everyone.
Even though this was only an excerpt, I am even more excited to read the full story of Rhen, Harper, Grey, and Lia Mara. I can't wait to see how this epic tale ends!
I’m so excited to keep reading! The first four chapters are *chef’s kiss* so good. Kemmerer is an absolute favorite of mine now, I’m sure the rest of this book is going to be amazing.
Emberfall is torn between those who beleive Rhen is the rightful prince and those who are eager to begin a new era under the true heir, Grey. Grey has agreed to wait two months before attacking Rhen, and in that time, Rhen has sought the assitance of a spy despite Harper’s doubts. Meanwhile, Lia Mara struggles to rule Syhl Shallow with a gentler hand than her mother. But some of the subjects aren’t happy that Lia Mara has an enchanted prince and magical scraver by her side. As Grey’s deadline draws nearer, Lia Mara is forced to question whether or not she can remain allied to his cause.
I love this series, so when I saw an excerpt available I knew I had to read it. Only four chapters, told from the perspectives of all four characters: Harper, Rhen, Grey and Lia Mara, but enough to know that this book is going to be amazing.
Thank you @netgalley and @bloomsburyya for gifting me a copy of this excerpt.

I couldn't be more excited for this exciting conclusion, I had a blast reading this excerpt. All our favorite characters are back and ready to fight!
I really wasn't amazed by this book, which is tragic considering how much I loved A Curse so Dark and Lonely. Unfortunately, the plot of this series becomes less and less interesting to me with every book. In my humble opinion, this really should have been a standalone novel.
The idea of a beauty and the beast retelling with traveling between dimensions and representation for people with disabilities? ALL FOR IT! This series started out with something amazing and unique, a storyline we know well taken and redesigned into an amazing new vision of an old fairytale. And yet, it's devolved into typical YA traits I'm tired of seeing in every book: secret siblings, a love triangle, a false identity that causes ongoing problems, etc.
Overall, this wasn't a bad book. The writing is still vivid and poetic, the style Brigid Kemmerer brings to the table is lovely and rhythmic. I just wish I'd felt something a big more poignant and emotional about this book than just, "Oh, I guess that was okay."
This sample killed me. How am I supposed o wait until January for the entire book to be released? I can't wait to read it.
VERY EXCITED FOR THIS TO BE RELEASED IN JANUARY. EVERYONE IS IN FOR A MASSIVE TREAT.
I'm very lucky in the regard that I am part of the street team, Cursebreakers - which is open for new members! - so have seen these chapters and I am beyond excited for VOW's release.
Thank you NetGalley and Bloomsbury for this snippet of A Vow so Bold and Deadly!
I adore these books and I simply cannot wait to get my hands on the full book to wrap up the stories of Harper, Rhen, Grey, and Lia Mara.
The few chapters available have already captured my heart! I am on the edge of my seat waiting for January!
Oh, my. This was only the first chapter for each of the main characters. It was great revisiting old friends. I cannot wait to see what happens, January cannot come fast enough.
I can't wait to read further 😍
This book is going to be epic. The best ending the series could have, I feel!
I loved this! Although it was short, I gives a great insight into what to expect in this final instalment
Love this preview! I'm so excited to read the full novel!
I love the author's writing, world-building and character development so much and I can't wait to see more of all of that in this third book!
What a great glimpse at the next book in the series! I wasn't crazy about what all went down in book two, so I'm looking forward to see how this all progresses. I've missed Harper's POV, so it'll be nice to spend some more time back inside her head.
This was just a snippet into the wonderful world that Brigid Kemmerer has created. These four chapters instantly brought me back to the magical world of Emberfall. I am so ecstatic to hear from my four favorite characters again. If this preview is indicative of what's ahead, then this is posed to be the best book yet.
