First, I would like to say thank you to Netgalley, the publisher, and the author for giving me a ARC in exchange for an honest review.

This book was an amazing conclusion of this series! I loved the first two books, so when I saw this one on Netgalley, I knew I had to request it. This book was a fantastic conclusion, with a nice wrap up of the story and characters. I loved the writing, it was absolutely beautiful. Brigid Kemmerer has such talent in creating a world that sucks you in, morally grey characters that have continuously developed throughout the series, and a story that is such a page turner! Amazing!

I have no words to describe this this book. Although I loved reading the different point of views from the characters: Rhen, Harper, Grey and Lila. it just wasn't the story or conclusion I was expecting. I didn't get the same feel I had with the first two books unfortunately. Although I did enjoy the set up of the story, I felt sometimes nothing was really happening in the first half of the book. I was expecting more from the read it was the weakest of the trilogy. I felt the climax was a bit underwhelming and unsatisfying.I also didn't like the direction Rhen took in this book sadly as well as how other characters were protrayed and kept doubting themselves. Overall, it wasn't a terrible book there was a few aspects of the book I can say I did enjoy

A great wrap up to a wonderful fantasy series. I will continue recommending this series to fans of Cinder!

At 38 years old you’d think I’d have gotten past devoted, unconditional love stories. Brigid Kemmerer has reminded me that I haven’t. And maybe it’s because for 12+ years I’ve had my Grey/Rhen next to me; so I know love exists. Or maybe it’s because the 16 year old version of me is bawling her eyes out at how poignant and amazing these characters and their stories are. Either way I’m glad to still be able to enter a fantasy world made for teens and fall in love with it.

My personal notes:
- As a lover of Grey, from early in book 1, I can honestly say that his character progression is lovely. And I love him even more after every page I flipped
- Rhen and Harper still annoy me... in the last half of the book I got over it without even realizing it until I was at the end. Lol
- Noah and Jake are adorable and I wish there was so much more of them
- Virginity is lost! It’s YA rated but still pretty steamy
- Blood is spilled. Like a lot of blood. And yes I loved that too. Give me a tortured soul any day
- Beauty and the Beast has never been my favourite story. But this series is proof it can be done without it seeming totally inappropriate or wrong. I’m impressed.

If you’d read the first two books then you don’t need me to tell you to read this. Just know that the ending is lovely. And as someone who hates most endings it’s nice to smile and put this third book down, content with where we are at.
Although already dreading the possibility of a follow-up series... because I’m paranoid to touch good things in case they get messed up. However, as Kemmerer points out to us many times during this series, you cannot gain anything without risking something as well.

There are many lovely lines and adages to take to heart in this last book of the Cursebreaker series; but I think my favourite one is this one; because in real life people make mistakes and we hurt one another. Trust is always so hard to gain; and yet easily lost. Kemmerer reminds us to give others a break sometimes; as we need one ourselves at times:
”One choice shouldn’t undo a thousand good ones.”

Excuse me while I go kiss my husband and thank him for all our wonderful years together; and all those to come. Don’t forget to love those around you openly and unabashedly. Just as Rhen and Grey do their ladies.

I received this free eARC novel from NetGalley and Edelweiss. This is my honest review.

After binging through book 1 and 2, I found myself flying through this book. It took me less than a day whereas the other 2 books took 2 days each, so that tells you something.

I appreciated that this book had the 4 characters viewpoints: Harper, Rhen, Grey and Lia Mara. Each character has grown so much from the first time we met them. Rhen, to me, is the most annoying. He's always finding excuses and complaining. I'm not sure how Harper, who is so strong willed and fearless, can be in love with him, but opposites attract, right?

Grey and Lia Mara are still my favorite. I love how they had to woo the people to trust them - that really shows how well they will be as leaders. I really think Lia Mara's sister needs to be put down a leg or two, because she had some serious control issues.

Overall, I enjoyed this book and I enjoyed this series. I'm glad I finally got around to reading them, finally!

As a previous lover of this series, it is progressively getting less interesting. I miss the romance of book one and I hate how Rhen’s character is getting quite the tough treatment!

Will eventually read this book bit not at the top of my list.

I'm so happy we're getting more of Rhen and Harper's point of view and seeing how Harper feels about Rhen's actions in the previous book. I couldn't believe how docile she was and seeing her angry here was a relief. It showed a glimpse of the Harper I loved in book one. And no Lia Mara point of view, which I honestly am fine with, she's the least intriguing character of the four.

Disappointed that this was just an excerpt, but really excited about the conclusion for this trilogy!

While the flow was often broken up more so than in the previous books, it was good to get back to our old friends. It was especially good to see Grey show more of his good side. Rhen.....not so much. Four review chapters weren't enough to form a true opinion, but I did read the entire novel later on and while not overly thrilled, nor was I terribly let down. The ending was Meh, but I could see. Fourth novel forthcoming.

All the yes lol I am so hyped for the conclusion to this series. And this little taste was what I needed to tide me over to release day

I was only given an excerpt of the book, I did not realize that was what I was requesting.
This left me a little frustrated as I do not normally read parts of a book unless I can finish them.
It was not clearly labeled on the picture like other publishers do.

Saying that what little part of the book I received I loved and had me ready for the rest.
Brigid's writing is beautiful and seamless as always and it was very easy to slip back into her world.
I will post a full review on my blog once I have read the full book.

I absolutely LOVED this book! With the first two in the Cursebreaker series being great reads, I was really excited to read AVSBAD, and it did not disappoint! Thank you to NetGalley/Publishers, for providing me with this eARC. Although it was a little slow at first it got MUCH better! But....A Heart So Fierce and Broken is still my favourite of the three:)

As the last book in a series, I think she wrapped up all the conflicts and relational issues between the characters well. The writing was good.

This book was so much better than the second one; the second one left me with a number of concerns and many instances of characters acting out of character.

A Vow So Bold and Deadly was wonderful! Good use of characters and Harper (and Rhen but not to the same extent) seemed much more themselves in this book. The problematic bits from book 2 were addressed in ways that mostly assuaged my concerns which was a huge relief.

There was a good resolution to the story and a very enjoyable read!

This book was so good, and I felt it was an incredible ending to the trilogy. Although it may not be my favorite in the trilogy, I enjoyed it so much. The fact that it ended in a way where the author could revisit this world is exciting. I do wish we got to see Lia Mara more in the book, but I do really enjoy her progression as a character in this book. Would definitely recommend this book to anybody

Welcome back to the enchanting world of Emberfall, where not only people but the castle itself is being torn between two heirs. There are those who believe Rhen has and always be the true prince. But the actual heir, Grey is in a battle, not only with himself but Rhen.

Harper is throw into the middle of this all, trying to make everything peaceful once again. Grey has agreed to hold off on attacking Rhen for two months, but will that be enough time? Or will Harper be able to calm everyone down?

This enchanting trilogy comes to a happy ending, but for who?

3.5 stars... the book was good but for some reason I didn’t find it as gripping as the first two and I had trouble finishing it at times. Overall still a great YA series that I would recommend.

While this is a review for the 'preview' of A Vow So Bold and Deadly, my sister and I purchased a finished copy when it was released. This a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy and I look forward to reading any future work by Kemmerer.
