This book was so good, and I felt it was an incredible ending to the trilogy. Although it may not be my favorite in the trilogy, I enjoyed it so much. The fact that it ended in a way where the author could revisit this world is exciting. I do wish we got to see Lia Mara more in the book, but I do really enjoy her progression as a character in this book. Would definitely recommend this book to anybody
Welcome back to the enchanting world of Emberfall, where not only people but the castle itself is being torn between two heirs. There are those who believe Rhen has and always be the true prince. But the actual heir, Grey is in a battle, not only with himself but Rhen.
Harper is throw into the middle of this all, trying to make everything peaceful once again. Grey has agreed to hold off on attacking Rhen for two months, but will that be enough time? Or will Harper be able to calm everyone down?
This enchanting trilogy comes to a happy ending, but for who?
3.5 stars... the book was good but for some reason I didn’t find it as gripping as the first two and I had trouble finishing it at times. Overall still a great YA series that I would recommend.
While this is a review for the 'preview' of A Vow So Bold and Deadly, my sister and I purchased a finished copy when it was released. This a satisfying conclusion to the trilogy and I look forward to reading any future work by Kemmerer.
While I am so glad to get approved for this excerpt, I will admit I was slightly disappointed to learn it was only an excerpt and not the whole book! That’s what I get for being so excited and not paying attention! Can’t wait to finish the rest. I just adore this world and these characters.
I was so glad to get more Rhen and Harper in this book. I was not however, happy with the outcomes. The writing style and story telling are spectacular and true to Brigid. I was not ready to say good bye to these characters and this world.
I got the whole book in the mail a few days ago and I cannot wait to delve into this world again!!!
Don't break my heart please Brigid
As much as I want to rate this high, I can't. The file didn't get sent to me. But don't get me wrong I adore the first book and making my way through the second one. Love it too, so this would be a good read. Thanks for the excerpt though
I did not realise this was only the sample. I'll certainly be buying the full novel, as I'm excited to see how the series ends.
Sixty days. Either make peace or there will be war. Harper, Rhen, Lia Mara, and Grey must prepare for war and for estranged relationships. Will they all survive even though some of them are enemies?
This has to be my favorite out of the trilogy. I like how all four characters have point of views in the book compared to two characters. I love the magic and the relationships. The action was great. The ending felt like there were loose ends, so I’m hoping a spin off or something happens.
Oh boy could I not stop reading this book! Kemmerer did an amazing job bringing our favorite characters back together for this final book. I loved seeing all four main characters POVs throughout the book and not knowing where we were going to go-we could be dealing with something GIGANTIC with Rhen and Harper and get a major drop...and then jump over to Grey, making you want to keep reading to get all your answers.
And is it crazy to ask if we'll see them in ANOTHER book/series down the line...? Here's to hoping!
Because we followed all of the characters from the other books, I thought I would really like this conclusion. Turns out that is the reason why I didn't like it. I didn't feel like there were specific characters I should be rooting for, there was no distinction between who was right and wrong. And I don't see how the ending makes sense either. I didn't feel connected to any of the characters, and the one I liked the most and related to, we barely heard from. The world and concept was fun, I just didn't vibe with the execution.
I thought this was suppose to be the book, but it was a sampler. The sampler did make me excited for the book.
Thank you so much NetGalley and publisher for this great sample of A Vow So Bold and Deadly! Loved it! I can’t wait to read the rest of the book!
I love this book, it is the third book in the series. These books are well written and full of excitement, drama and mixed with a splash of love. It was easy to dive into the story and get lost there, once I started and became invested it was hard to put down. I highly recommend!
The perfect finale to one of my favourite series. I adore the cast of characters that Kemmerer has created - everyone is so real, distinct and compelling. I'm not ready to let this world go.
The first few chapters of this were quite frustrating to read, as I felt all of the problems could be solved with simple communication between the opposing parties. I liked the return of Harper and Rhen's perspectives, but they quickly became boring to read from as they had no real progress with their issues. Lia Mara and Grey seemed like more reasonable of the main four and like they actually have a real purpose and they dealt with their struggles realistically than the other two.
This was just a sampler and omg I need the rest!!! I'm making this review and the book is already out and you better believe I'm buying the full copy right now so I can find out what happens to my curse breaker family!!!
I love the characters in this series. I especially love Grey. What is great about this third book is that now we can see from all of our favorite characters points of view.
The world is a great reimagining of Beauty and the Beast but with its own unique spin. The world also is continually growing bigger in each book so far. I cannot wait to get to the end of this series to see what happens.
Thanks to NetGalley for providing me with a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.
I'm a fan of Brigid Kemmerer so I was super excited to see this. Although it's only an exceprt. I do wish it it was the full book.
Overall, It added to my extreme excitement for this book!
