This book is a piece of art manifested. For the curious, the spiritual verses, the consciously creative — this book is part journal, part journey. Beautifully done with information throughout to serve as a reference but also a reflection. This is an activity book for soul seeking adults. This will be a gifting favorite — to give and receive.
Thank you to the publisher and Netgalley for the opportunity to read and review this book. I have been wanting to learn more about astrology, wicca etc. and this one seemed up my alley. Unfortunately, the format on the Shelf App was distracting and took away from enjoying the content. However, there were some helpful things and it was nice to have a touch of a "work book" included within.
What a lovely book! It's honestly more of a guided journal, a charming way of harnessing the moon's phases and observing their impact on our lives. I enjoyed the fact that it delves deeper than just explaining the moon's movement on the sky and how it can affect you. It is filed with all kinds of ideas for journaling, for setting milestones into your journey, for appreciating the moments and for doing small acts of kindness.
There are many of helpful answers to your questions, excellent ideas for small rituals, invitations to calming drawings, writing poems and so much more. Most enjoyable is that the author connects all this to the divine feminine, no matter where you are in your spiritual journey. What a helpful, lovely way to add creativity, enrichment and delight to daily routines. The graphics in this book are so gorgeous. A truly read.
I loved it!
Understanding that not everyone is into witchy vibes and spells under the full moon, this book gives you ideas on how to channel the energy from the phases of the moon. You may have always wondered why things tend to go awry on the full moon, or maybe your cycle follows the same schedule? Either way, there are endless ways to harness, pray, or just witness the power by journaling, setting intentions, visualizing, and so much more.
I invite you to give it a chance if only to learn something new! With the last full having just passed and the next one scheduled to appear on Halloween, now is the perfect time to pick this title up!
This is such a lovely book!

This is a well presented beginners guide to working with your emotions and phases of the moon. Those who enjoy journaling will enjoy this book..
The word “ritual” is used loosely. Lighting a candle, sitting on a cushion and writing notes is exactly that, not a specific ritual. It’s eclectic in a sense but there is also a lot of cultural appropriation too. The author jumps from Wicca to the Hindu religions then to a Greek mythology, throw in some Kundalini yoga and crystals to boot. Readers will need to be comfortable with that but I felt is was a little too smooshing of what is trending in the new age movements currently to really have any authenticity.
I don’t recall any sage or dream catchers so that’s good.

Cosmic Flow by Nikki Strange is a wonderful workbook for those looking to align themselves and their energy with corresponding moon phases. The book itself is beautiful. Each page has a colorful, relaxing design and plenty of space for each exercise. It’s almost too pretty to write in. There is a wide variety of exercises for each phase, including chanting, coloring, affirmations, meditations, reflections, goal-setting, etc., so nothing seems repetitive. I also appreciate that the author includes activities that use an assortment of magical materials including crystals, essential oils, and herbs. Not everyone will have those materials on hand, but I’d say at least 85% of the exercises do not require anything other than the book, a writing instrument, and an open mind. My only complaint about this book is that I wish there was a bit more information on the actual moon phases themselves. There is a little description at the beginning and at the start of each chapter, but I was hoping to learn some more in depth information to help me get more out of the exercises. I’m not sure if that’s a fair complaint considering this is a workbook after all, but for someone newer to the power of the moon, I think a solid understanding of the science behind these practices could go a long way.
Thank you to the author, Quarto Publishing, and NetGalley for an ARC in exchange for an honest review!
This book is great, it’s more interactive than I thought. It encourages you to write down your thoughts etc. I wasn’t quite sure what I expected from this book, but I loved it. It was far better than I thought it might be. Its definitely a book that you can keep going back to.
Thank you NetGalley for my complimentary copy in return for my honest review.
Wow!!! This book is one of the most beautiful books I have ever seen!! I was expecting a non fiction on the moon, but it's actually more like a self development journal, focussing on the moon phases.
I have been a fan of Nikki Strange and her designs for a while now - having many diaries/notebooks over the last couple of years.
This book keeps to her usual spiritual style and more! I love following the moon phases anyway, but I feel that this book will just further my exploration.
I was lucky enough to receive an early electronic copy for review, but I have just preordered the actual hard copy for when it comes out later in the year. I can't wait to have my own hard copy.
Any moon lovers will adore this journal!!
Fantastic book, I love this so much. It’s one of the best guides I’ve ever had. This is illustrated so beautifully , it’s inspiring just reading it. The book is divided into helpful phases of the moon, suggestions of how to create your own altar, I love the fact the author suggests rather than instructs as a lot do ! Nikki writes this like you are speaking to a friend, it’s such a lovely inviting style of writing. Simply just a wonderful guide and if you are interested in phases of the moon, meditation, self healing or just opening yourself to new experiences then I urge you to pick it up as you won’t regret it.
Thanks to netgalley and the publisher for a free copy for an honest opinion
