Thank you NetGalley for this book in exchange for an honest review. Financial Technology was an incredibly insightful book that gave me a glimpse into fintech and an introduction to the field. I liked how it was clear an understandable to people new to the industry and had a variety of topics, from the past to present as well as a series of case studies. The writing was very engaging and was refreshing to read. It's peaked my interest in fintech, and I hope to explore it further! Definitely recommend to teachers and those interested in learning more.

--Superb Intro to Fintech, Well Structured, Clear--

I received an advanced review copy of this book through NetGalley, and here are my thoughts.

I wanted to understand more about the current Fintech situation, and this book did not disappoint. The language is clear and concise, and not at all dry. This would be engaging material to use in the classroom, because the combination of history, current situation, current case studies and regulatory as well as social issues are well covered.

I already used the word engaging, but having had memories of very boring textbooks in the back of my mind...this book by Niels Pedersen was a blast of fresh air. I thoroughly enjoyed learning about Fintech from this book. I have been reading other sources as well, and this is the FIRST book I would recommend anyone read if they want to learn more about this very important industry, the success of which depends on not only "high tech" developments, but also our ability to improve our communication and interaction skills so that no one is left behind.

Lastly, although I did not receive the following content to review, the addition of these materials can only be a huge plus to those who will be using this book as a university text.

--PowerPoint slides for lecturers,
--video lectures,
--literature review and
--blog posts to cover industry developments

This book was a good read if you are interested in financial technology, especially in Europe. As a website analyst, this gave me some additional insight into the market and help reinforce some ideas and theories of my own. I recommend this book to anyone with an interest in financial technogy!

Thanks to Kogan Pg Lmtd and NetGalley for a copy to honestly review.
