It has been a few years since I have read the original Love in a Small Town and I loved it then. What Zoe York brings us now in Love in a Small Town is just amazing. I feel in love with Pine Harbour , Rafe and Olivia all over again. The years of back and fourth put it's toll on Rafe and Olivia's marriage. Changes needed to be had and growing needed to happen for the both of them. I love how they still kept this amazing connection between them with everything they put each other through. It is simply lovely to see Olivia grow so much into her own in this small town of Pine Harbour. The chemistry between Rafe and Olivia will have you fanning yourself at times. And the getting to know you all over again just pulls at your heart. Even if you haven't read any of this series yet don't worry you will fall in love just a simply as I did with it. I love the Pine Harbour series and I am reminded of how much I've missed being part of this small town.

I am an avid reader of Zoe York’s books. I was eager to read this rewrite of a book that was previously published.
This book was deep and after reading the author’s experiences behind this story it touched my heart even more. This is not a light read for someone who may be having marriage trouble, but it does have the ever present HEA! You can learn a lot about priorities and relationships!
I loved this light, sweet, second chance story.
Rafe and Olivia were married for a few years and divorced for two. They both realized they made mistakes and question their own ability to have a happy future without the other. Rafe and Olivia both continue to live in the same town, and try to remain friendly. But, friendship is not enough for Rafe and he sets out on a mission to win Olivia back. He will try anything, including a lot of self reflection, to make sure they both get their happily ever after.
I really enjoyed the plot, the characters were believable and likable, and the story flowed easily from scene to scene. Left me believing in destiny!

This is a perfect second-chance romance!
Rafe and Olivia were just too young and idealistic when they rushed to the altar, causing their passion-fueled marriage to crumble under the weight of daily responsibilities. Two years after the divorce that nobody wanted, neither has been able to move on. One of the things I love most about this story is that neither one even tried to move on during their estrangement. Yes, there's a bit of OW drama in the beginning, but it's so minor that it hardly bears mentioning and proves only how hard it was for Rafe to even consider dating anyone else.
This book's brilliant writing style immediately establishes the setting and characters. Even though I knew they'd get their HEA by the end, I was still fighting my own tears in the early chapter where they each tried to get the other to stop crying over their seemingly unsalvageable relationship.
Between her new job and his criminal cases, this has a complex and sometimes tragic plot that goes deep into the community, well beyond just the two MCs. We get a thorough introduction to the Pine Harbour community and we can completely understand how his jobs make it difficult for him to prioritize his personal life. But even though he knows he mostly to blame for their separation, he never once thinks of her as his "ex-" wife. In his heart, she's still his and always will be. Such deep romanticism makes it very easy to root for him and the personal growth he needs to become the husband he wants to be.
This was such a wonderful book, and and I'm now hooked on the entire series. I hadn't read the original version of this book before reading the revised version as an ARC so I can't speak to the updates and changes between the two, but I can say that this 2020 version is absolutely perfect.
A beautiful sweet romance about love the second time around and prioritising what is important to you Rafe and Olivia As a young couple they rushed into marriage but his work as not only a police officer but also a military reservist meant that he barely had time for their marriage and finally Olivia had enough and they divorced Now two years later she has a chance at a wonderful career and that means she will be moving but a chance meeting with her ex has her questioning what she really wants Meanwhile Rafe has had enough he still loves Olivia and he is mature enough now to prioritise her place in his life but will he get a chance or will she leave before he gets his plan into action. A sweet romance that is set in the perfect small town with all the feels that you could possible want
4 1/2 Stars for this second chance love!
This review is for the second edition of the book. I just loved Olivia and Rafe! I think that even though they were too young to get married and they had lots of problems because of that ... they never stopped loving each other and they were meant to be together. And seeing how I'm Canadian ... I loved all the Canadian references and places. I also loved how the author set up the rest of the series with all the characters in the two families and I can't wait to read them!
Olivia moved to Pine Harbour when she married Rafe six years ago, but their marriage fell apart. Two years later, Olivia would like a second chance at their marriage and little does she know that Rafe has the same feelings. This is a story of second chances and how true love never dies.
I received an early copy courtesy of Victory Editing NetGalley Co-op through NetGalley in exchange for a honest review.
Loved this story. The lead characters are sweet together. Olivia is smart and creative. Rafe is loyal and determined to win Olivia back. The location is charming. The story is interesting. And I’m a sucker for a law enforcement or military leading man.

A lovely story of soulmates who married then divorced but who are still in love with each other. What a difference communication and romance have made to their relationship. A great introduction to Pine Harbour series. Looking forward to reading Jake and Dani’s story next.
I absolutely adore Pine Harbour and all the sexy Minelli and Foster men. This book is about Olivia and Rafe Minelli and the marriage they both should have fought harder for. Being a cop and a soldier is rough, especially when those two jobs take all your time and leave none for your wife. Being the above-mentioned wife is pretty difficult too, under those circumstances. When you're young, married and still getting to know each other, it's easy to give up without a fight, which is how they ended up divorced. Now they have a chance to try again. Rafe is all in but Olivia still has a lot of reservations.
Ahhhh Rafe. Such a sexy man, who has tremendous potential to be the husband Olivia wants. I love the Pine Harbour series. Each time I read one, I feel the love and the sense of family. I am now drifting through my day thinking of this love story that has left me utterly blissful. Zoe York, you're an amazing author and I can't wait to read more.
I don't know he says ,'it's not what it looks like' but he did try to move on with the girl, couldn't do it put her up for the night, while he slept on the sofa, then took her for breakfast in the diner where his ex-wife works, with the girl dressed in his shirt and is surprised at what it looks like......Men!!!
Couple broke up not due to cheating.
During separation both are celibate but he did have other woman on his lap, kissing him.
HEA
This book was everything I'd hoped for and come to expect from this author. Although it started out kind of slow for me it quickly sucked me in. I was thrilled to spend a quiet afternoon relaxing with this book.
